I did a search for Egg Creme and found this thread. Hope you don't mind a guy stopping by. I'm not slim and I am definitely not sexy. I doubt I'll be either by Memorial Day but I'm going to give it a shot. I made the above recipe when I got home from work because I wanted to give it a try and I was hungry. Well, it did fill me up. I'll make another for breakfast tomorrow morning. Thanks again! Phil |

I've been having an egg cream for breakfast every morning this week and it kept me satisfied until late afternoon. Today I made my old breakfast of 3 scrambled eggs, coffee with cream and splenda and I was hungry at 11:00 am. Now what is odd about this is that I had exactly the same ingredients with both, but the ec was uncooked. I'm at a loss as to what the difference is, but I'm going back to the ec.
And for those of you who lost all that weight doing this, congratulations. My scales has been the same since I started. But I am able to stay on the woe much better.

Hi everyone! I'm still doing the egg cream thing every morning. I really like it because the coffee and CO give me energy and put me in a good mood all morning.
Unfortunantly I am retaining water like CRAZY. I was down to 170 and I retained all the way back to 175. I feel pretty bloated and icky... I'm sure it will all go back down in a few days but ugh. still sucks ![]() Hope everyone is doing good and losing well. I want to get some of that peppermint patty Davincis it sounds really good~! |

Cheri, I am also retaining some fluid, yesterday I ate cabbage and sausage and was up a couple of pounds. I will drink alot of water today hopefully flushing the extra salt intake from the sausages.
I wished I would have made another cream egg for lunch! Maybe tomorrow! |

This am I was back to 161!
yayyyyy! (I was up to 163 from salt and such from the wedding friday) I had a rootbeer float eggcream for breakfast... Has anyone figured how to not get chunks of coconut oil in cold eggcreams? I like the coconut oil in my breakfast shake, but I dont always drink them cold and the chunks are kinda icky. I prefer my shakes cold to warm. ohhhh well lol |

Couple of suggestions for some issues folks have had regarding egg cremes:
Re. coconut oil not staying melted. Realistically, this isn't going to happen! You either have a cold drink/lumpy CO, or lukewarm drinks (cause you don't want to cook the eggs) and liquid CO. The way I finally solved this problem is to drink my coffee with CO separately, and then make a super cold egg creme w/o coconut oil. I really like my egg cremes cold - even add ice. All that I put in mine is two eggs, about an ounce of heavy whipping cream, splash DaVinci syrup, one scoop whey protein powder, 3 drops liquid stevia and a handful of ice cubes. Delicious! Kaye

Interesting thread
I've been reading through this for a few days and decided to give it a whirl this morning. It was great! And a nice change of pace from my regular protein shakes. I used: 1 scoop low carb vanilla protein powder 1 cup unsweetened vanilla soy milk 2 eggs (used eggbeaters) 2 cups water (with 1 pkg of SF strawberry-banana jello) |

I have a question...is it safe to eat eggs raw?? I was always told you could get sick from that. Today is the first day I have heard of these egg creams. I would love to try this. What kind of results are you all getting?? TIA.

i just made a absolutly delicous dessert/shake out of the egg cream. i was not hungry but as i have to work between 7-9 i just wanted something whoe keep my energy levels up...
i feel very full and dont have munchies for sweet stuff as i would get from a chocolate shake (and its much more delicious!) if you want a version lower in carb you can do it wihout the banana or use straweberries for example! you need: 1/2 banana (or berries) 1 teaspoon coconut oil 1 fl oz heavy cream 1 egg 3 pcs dark chocolate 70% designer whey: chocolate mix egg, banana, 2/3 of cream and the whey (add some water if its to thick). melt chocolate with coconut oil and mix it in the cream wip rest of the cream and put it on top enjoy! calories: 416 Fat: 28 255 61% Carbs: 17 63 15% Protein: 25 98 24% |

I just had my 1st egg cream! DEEEEEEE-LISH-OUS!!
![]() 3 eggs; 1 ounce heavy cream; 1 teaspoon SF vanilla; splash of Torani SF french vanilla syrup; 6 ounces of chilled (overnight) coffee Tasted just like a rich, creamy cappucciono iced coffee! (better than any Starbucks Frappuccino ever tasted!) This will be a new AM routine for me! ![]() I got one of these at Wal-Mart yesterday ($15 in black) and whipped up a nice frothy egg cream concoction - YUM! You girls (and guy!) please be careful with the SF Jello; SF Diet Soda; Crystal Light - you know that the Aspartame is NOT good for you + it can actually cause some people to stall or slow down in their weightloss which is like shooting yourselves in the foot here. ![]() I would suggest trying Kool-Aid and adding NATURAL sweetners such as XyloSweet or Stevia or Whey Low or Splenda to sweeten! (Splenda is not perfect either but it's better than Aspartame) Xylosweet Sugar Substitute NuNaturals Sugar Made Healthy! Whey Low Natural Sweetener Here's to HEALTHY weight loss for ALL of us! XO, HB PS: A RECIPE THREAD is a GREAT IDEA and THANKS for the tips re: how to incorporate Coconut Oil and NOT using Flax (which was going to be next for me - hahaha!)

I just had my first egg cream. Growing up, my mom would put raw eggs in an icecream shake as a treat to help fatten us up (oh, those days). This recipe intrigued me and I am already hooked on protein shakes so I started out slowly and just added an egg to my protein shake and decreased the ice a bit - very yummy and super filling.
My shake: 1 cup cal countdown choc milk 1 scoop Jay Robb choc protein powder 1 shot vanilla davinci 1 egg 7-8 icecubes This has @275 cals and 40 g protein. Next time, I will go for 2 eggs and decrease the choc milk a bit. |

Hello everyone I just thought that I would join you all here
yesterday after reading some posts I made a EC for a late night snake (I work nights) and it held me over till after my workout. Not bad at all. Its always nice to find another way to use eggs to up the protein and not get a ton of calories. I have a goal that i am trying to hit of 185-190 by the May long weekend (May 16th) Today I weighed myself and I am 198.5 had a crappy weekend full of cheats lol I think my goal is something that i can reach so hopefully with the egg creams I will do well. Thanks for all the awesome recipe's everyone ..... i think tonight i might try the coffee one mmmmm

1. Do NOT add ice 2. Run warm/hot water over eggs while still in it's shell when just taken out of refrigerator or let the eggs get to room temperature 3. Mix eggs, liquid CO & heavy cream 4. In separate glass pour cold diet soda or whatever you use 5. Add egg mixture into glass with cold soda or whatever else you use - slowly stirring with a straw It worked for me yesterday UNTIL I decided to add ice cubes & then it clumped up. A few minutes ago, I did the same 5 steps without adding any ice cubes & using a separate glass for the cold diet cream soda & no clumps so far, YEAH!!< |
