I make the basic recipe and add coffee. This morning I added CO. one or two times I've added the protein powder.
Most of the time it's the basic recipe with instant coffee added with water or hot coffee added. I did see a recipe with pumpkin I might try but I will not add all the other ingredients, too many calories, I don't like to get to far from the original recipe. |

I've posted this previously, but I don't think it's been on this thread before: Egg Cream Cappuccino About 5 oz leftover hot coffee About a 1/2 cup boiling water 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 pkt Splenda (or equivalent sweetener) 1 or 2 eggs Another pkt Splenda Put coffee in a large mug. Add next 4 ingredients to a blender/Magic Bullet and blend until frothy. (30 sec?) Pour into mug with the coffee. Sprinkle top with last Splenda pkt and slowly stir in. Very creamy and no cream to have to count! These turn out with a nice frothy layer on top, like on a cappuccino. Mmmm! I had these all the time this summer and they really were filling and tasty! HTH

CHEMICAL CUISINE
Chemical Cuisine / Nutrition Action Health Letter
A guide to food additives & artificial sweeteners For complete listing: Food Additives ~ CSPI’s Food Safety The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) is the nonprofit health-advocacy group that publishes the Nutrition Action Health Letter. CSPI mounts educational programs and presses for changes in government and corporate policies. EVERYONE SHOULD AVOID Aspartame & Acesulfame K (Potassium) (unsafe or very poorly tested and not worth any risk) Aspartame (NutraSweet; Equal; SF Jell-O; diet soda; frozen desserts; etc) Aspartame (Equal, NutraSweet), a chemical combination of two amino acids and methanol, was initially thought to be the perfect artificial sweetener, but it might cause cancer or neurological problems such as dizziness or hallucinations. The bottom line is that lifelong consumption of aspartame probably increases the risk of cancer. People—especially young children—should NOT consume foods & beverages sweetened with aspartame, and should switch to products sweetened with SUCRALOSE (Splenda) instead, or should avoid all artificially sweetened foods. Two other artificial sweeteners, SACCHARIN and ACESULFAME-K, have also been linked to a risk of cancer. Acesulfame K (Potassium) (chewing gum; diet soda; baked goods; desserts; Somersize products; etc) Poorly done safety tests in the 1970’s suggested that acesulfame potassium may cause cancer. The FDA has refused to require better studies. The safety tests of acesulfame-K were conducted in the 1970s and were of mediocre quality. Key rat tests were afflicted by disease in the animal colonies; a mouse study was several months too brief and did not expose animals during gestation. Two rat studies suggest that the additive might cause cancer. It was for those reasons that in 1996 the Center for Science in the Public Interest urged the FDA to require better testing before permitting acesulfame-K in soft drinks. In addition, large doses of acetoacetamide, a breakdown product, have been shown to affect the thyroid in rats, rabbits, and dogs. Hopefully, the small amounts in food are not harmful.

I have prepared my Egg Cream for breakfast tomorrow:
Papaya/Avocado Egg Cream 1/4 cup of heavy cream 1/2 Haas Avocado 2 egg yolks 1 whole egg 2 oz of Papaya Then I will add some hot herbal tea 4 fl oz I tasted a bit and its delish because of the Papaya can't wait to eat it. I think I am going to substitute the heavy cream with some unsweetened vanilla milk. It has way less carbs. It has 2 g for 8 fl oz vs heavy cream 1 tbsp 1 carb. Has anybody used vanilla/almond milk. per serving 240ml servings per container about 4 calories 40 fat 3g cholesterol 0mg sodium 180mg carbohydrate 2g (net carbs 1) protein 1g Almond Breeze Unsweetened Almond Beverage - Vanilla - The Low Carb Grocery Canada |

Moretta,
Hi... I'm just wondering which low carb plan you've decided to follow - just a caution that there aren't any that i know of that allow fruit like papaya in their begining phases. I would hate for you to do all the work of following a program but not get the results due to something as silly as a couple of ounces of fruit. I really suggest picking a program, reading the book, and then following its rules to the T for the first couple of weeks so you can honestly gauge how your body responds. Good Luck! You can do it.

The CO did the trick in my EC.
I was not hungry right away. I was able to last until I ate my VERY small salad with steak strips 4 hours later. I just eat enough to keep my stomach from feeling empty. To those who drink there egg creams for Breakfast and Lunch, are you satisfied until dinner and not overeat? |

I honestly think since starting the eggcreams, my stomach has shrunk.. I overall am very less hungry between meals, and when I do eat, I really do not eat that much.. But I have been doing the eggcreams for a few weeks now...

fatima_mystique: So glad the CO did the trick for you.
![]() ibbmp: I did not feel full either. I was getting hungry like after 15 minutes or so, it was so awful and I felt like a total failure. I then started to put in the avocado and voila it did the trick. I would have used CO, but I am awaiting my online order to come any day now. Can't wait to try it. |

to me. This let me have my coffee, but I found that the eggs in it let me really just call it breakfast. So I had it as a meal replacement. I never really drank it as a "wow, this is going to keep me so full for hours" kind of thing. I just found that I didn't need to have one of those AND eat breakfast, too. Now, of course, I'm experimenting with all kinds of different variations, and the ones I'm making now DO keep me full for hours. However, OurLuvs was looking for a version that didn't use any cream. . .hence, the reason I posted that recipe. ![]() |

Ok so yesterday I had a really good day. But I worked 12hrs and was death tired when I got home...
Since I have started using coffee cubes in my eggcream I really think I need to go from 3 eggs to 2 eggs cause its making me grossly full.. I ate pretty clean too. Coffee eggcream for breakfast Eggsalad on cucumber slices for lunch, and when I got home from work I literally had to force myself to eat dinner, but it was really more like a snack and I was soooooo tired. I had like 4 celery stalks with creamcheese. Anywho I weigh in this am hoping that I would finally be under 160lbs... all I was looking hoping and praying for was 159.5 lol Even if it was a hair under 160 I would have taken it...... Sooo I step on the scale dum dum dummmmmmmmm And its 158! Holy moly I almost fainted. I feel like I'm finally over my plateu and now I can get on with losing! I couldn't have done it with out you guys, you have all become great friends to me and I look foward to this every single day. I hope we can have a slim and sexy by the 4th of july after this? I don't want our little group to end after memorial day! Xooxooxooxoxooxo Kerry
