Lil...my mother came home from the hospital Saturday. Since she doesn't have medical insurance...I'm sure that made a BIG difference in her stay. She seems to be getting along okay. My sister drove down yesterday to stay with her until Wednesday.

Okay...time to get the bathrooms cleaned. Bleech.

Niki, Caleb is so adorable and so huggable!!!! So fun to see them grow up.

Robin, hope your day improves also. Thats alot of snow for this time of year, but imagine its melted by now.

Charlene, glad your Mom is home also. Hope she improves really fast and glad your sister is with her now also.

Lise how are you doing? And Lil?

Rainy here, needless to say another gloomy day here in WV. We celebrated Mother's Day on Saturday and it continued on to yesterday, with leftover food and of course the Cake!!!

Ok, have some energy so off to clean a little bit.

I didn't lose anything this week.......I started my lower carb WOE on the 25th of April and I've lost 9 lbs.........and my blood sugars are consistantly in the lower end of normal.....my follow up doc appt about my sugars is next Monday and I only have good news to report......

What are you all planting this spring....have no fear Robin spring really will be here soon.......I won't be planting anything until after Victoria day....too much chance of frost this far north...but I'll be planting tomatoes, cucumbers, green and yellow beans and I'm not sure what else....I only have about 3 x 20 devoted to veggies and a few containers for tomatoes....the rest will be shrubs and a few perrenials in the flower beds....I took pictures of all my tulips yesterday and will post them tonight.....I'm very pleased....

W's sister is staying with us for the week.......I'm working 8-5 until my manager gets back from Romania next Monday....I miss him because I miss my breaks and leaving at 4 but otherwise I sure am enjoying the smooth and easy flow that comes from no miscommunication or lack of communication that we suffer from when we work together.....

For the first time I can remember I've left my taxes until crunch time and when I went to do them last night I found that I couldn't carry my info forward since it had totally disappeared off my hard drive........luckily I had my brother back up all my info onto a seperate drive before bringing my computer in for a new motherboard last year....he is emailing it to me tonight....if I don't get the info I need I will have to do them anyway and just reenter all the data...I'll probably lose any carry forward deductions but nothing I can do about it....*sigh

Must get back to work....

Hi everyone.

Our electricity went off this morning at 6.30am. It came back on at 3pm. I am cold. I have the furnace and all the heaters going. We had no water except some in bottles. DH put the propane heater that we used when we were camping in the front proch so i could boil some water for coffee. We went out to the store so we could warm up in the car. All the traffic lights were not working but the store must have had a generator because it had lights. All day it has poured rain. tonight we might get some snow. The house is starting to warm up but I am still cold. I am having a hot cup of coffee.

I know now why I feel so run down....TOM is coming. That explains the drug out feeling on Monday!!

Lise...WTG on the 9 lbs!!!! That is outstandingly awesome chickie! We'll be anxiously waiting the good report on your blood sugars.

Lil...Did you get snow last night? We had temperatures fall to about 40...but, no frost thankfully. Hope you were able to get warmed up last night. I do not like to be cold.

Joyce...how is DGS doing? Has he healed up from all the stomach virus and colds and such?

Robin...put the roller skates on chickie. That's what I need to make it through my week. I also need to squeeze in a chiropractor appointment and try and get my hair trimmed...and take Dominic to get his hair cut. Oiy!

Niki....when is the next time you see the doc? How are the meds going and the supplements and stuff? My doc never did change my meds...I got a big speech about it though. Kinda like give up the dead horse bit.

Congratulations Lise and here's hoping for a good report on your blood sugar level also.

Charlene, DGS is doing well, enjoys school now and still carries a cough and you can hear the congestion in his chest, but nothing to worry about.

Weather here has been cool and rainy also. Not to mention, HOW much I hate the weather here.

Lil, hope you have a better day today than yesterday also.

Today our wooden blinds will go into the loft. Hopefully toward the end of this week, our new futon covers will be here. And our DGS new bed still hasn't come in either. Was suppose to be here last week.

Mornin Niki also.

Off to start our day. DGS is coming as DD is getting her hair highlighted today. Their going on vacation to Williamsburg soon so she is trying to get everything done. DSIL is going after his Masters, so hes been pretty stressed lately.

Good morning....

Lil....I hope you warmed up by now...I would have jumped under my electric blanket as soon as the power came back on........

Joyce...wooden shutters sound fabby....that room is going to be lovely when it's done....and I'm glad to hear that DGS is feeling better and liking his new school...

Charlene....you made me laugh when you mentioned the number of school days left...you made me think of Olivia Newton John in Grease when she's counting the days starting at registration........I hope TOM is kind to you and takes a few lbs when he goes......

Niki....I the pic in your avatar...fine looking lads you have....

Well...even though I don't usually weigh myself on Tuesday's yesterday I had a 1 lb gain so I checked today and that lb is gone and took another one with it so now I'm down 10 lbs in 4 weeks...

Have a great day friends.....going to grab my yogourt breakfast.....*yummm

Morning all- Rise N' Shine and WOW was that great to see AK's quick post- hope your foot is feeling better soon and you'll be back in action... Well my body is VERY stiff and sore today- I think I have to come to the realization that I cannot keep up with those bouncing up and down and all around aerobic classes like I used to be able to do- my body/mostly back cannot take it the next day so gonna have to start to find something else @ the gym instead of those classes all the time- so that will be my new goal @ the gym testing out new equipment!! Anyhow off for now- going to stretch my neck/back!! haha

Robin, did I miss something about a foot? Hmmmm. Hope you are having a great day also there.

Lise 10 pounds is great. You are on the right track now.

DD is coming soon, so frying her some pototoes for breakfast. She still loves the country breakfast of pototoes and gravy, biscuits the whole bit, and I did make that for her last week, but today is just the pototoes and eggs.

Hey there Lil....we posted at the same time....look up...

W should be home from the rheumetologist by now....I wonder how it went....I forgot to ask him to get a copy of the blood work.......I sent him with a bunch of questions...did I mention that we weighed him a couple of days ago and he was back down to 177 from 202 on April 17th.......that was a lot of inflammation...

Lise, not a good way to lose weight, and that is alot for a short amount of time. Please let us know how his visit went.

Wooden blinds are in and how nice they look. Futon cover is in also, so will pick that up tomorrow in Hagerstown, MD. That sure didn't take long. Only thing left now that we are waiting on is the chair sleeper that we ordered back on March 20th. Getting the run around on when its suppose to be in, original it was the third week of April, so we called then, told us it would be another 2 weeks, so we called again today, and now its another two weeks, May 13th or so. So tomorrow DH is calling headquarters. We have had alot of trouble with this furniture store, so after dealing with headquarters and them giving us a discount, we decided to give them another chance and now look, the same old stuff is going on, so tomorrow we will go after them again. Charlene, its Grand Home Furnishing in Winchester. Its the perfect piece for what our needs are, so makes it sorta touchy for us, but DH is very good about handling things so will see.

Joyce...I don't know who sews anymore...period! That's sad isn't it? I'd surely like someone to sow Dominic some pants and me some skirts. Been looking around here for the longest time.

Lise...Wow, that was a lot of fluid W lost....gosh. I like the Oopsies okay. I think when I make them again, I will use the tweaks that Charski (I think) had with her Oopsies to give them more body. I need some rice protein powder and I can try and make a loaf of bread in my bread machine from a recipe I have in one of the Dana Carpender's lc recipe books.

OKay...gotta take the kiddo to Aikido. I'm dog tired too...someone exercise for me...

Joyce....no worries about the weight ...he is back to normal...lost what he gained from the illness....

The Dr said he is doing well and he can see the improvements....he doesn't like that his feet are still swollen so he put him back on the hydroxyquinone....thank goodness I saved the pills from when the other doc stopped them...I think we will have enough to get by until June 1st when my health plan kicks back in....these scripts are killing us......what can you do...

Some snaps of my flowers:

Happy Wednesday everyone. Over to Hagerstown, MD here shortly to pick up futon cover, then to the commissary in Frederick. Cool here, but suppose to be sunny, but in the low 60's.

Good Morning to everyone
