MAJOR LCF POSTER!

Good morning everyone. It is a beautiful Spring day today.
I just got home from seeing the chiropracter. He still tells me that I should be doing something about getting into a seniors' residence. It is a very hard decision to make. |

Lil, hope your treatment helped. YES, that is a very hard decision to make and you're the only one that can do that. Enjoy your spring day. Listen to the birds etc, I love doing that laying in the hammock. Don't have that up yet, but will soon.
Waiting on the bookcase man also. |

![]() Lil...I think your chiropractor needs to stop nagging you so much....he's already told you and now it's up to you and dad to decide....I don't think he realizes what a tough decision this is...after all you have your land and your space not to mention your stuff and your freedom where you are...I know that we worry about you both there with all the work you have to do and we worry about accidents but we respect your desire to be independant... ...I'm sorry to be brief but I'm leaving at 2 for another appt and I really need to do some work while I'm here... to allLise

Happy Thursday from this side of WV.
Nice here also. We been busy cutting the grass. Even with two riding lawn mowers it still takes alot of time. Last year we had a lawn service for weed control, fertilizer etc. Darn, I don't think we will do that again, our lawn is so thick, hard to cut, and I will NOT bag grass, not this much yard. Plus it was expensive. Lise, how was the doctor's appt yesterday? For you or W? Ok, ladies we are off to Costco now, and pick up Chinese food for after my weight club tonight, since I have been craving it. BBL

I've managed to get in 3 days of excercise (M,T,TH) so far. So, how are you all doing with your plans this week? Lise...what's going on with Wayne? Any news? More later chickies...I'm draggin this a.m. and have to try and keep on schedule... ![]()

Popping in quickly with a report....I've been out of the office so much with W appts that I just have to give it my all....one more appt this afternoon and then nothing for a couple of weeks....
I miss you all so much but life has been crazy with my diabetic scare and W's health issues.... I'm still OP and doing really well...I dropped another lb today for 8 in a bit over 3 weeks.... ....I think I've found a WOE and WOL that I can actually see myself sticking with forever.....W has been diagnosed with Dermatomyositis...an autoimmune disorder .....we are feeling a sense of relief with knowing but it is a very serious thing and with medication we will soon get it under control and get him out of the wheelchair he's been in for the last couple of weeks...... Anyway that is what has been happening.....thank you all for your thoughts and prayers... ![]() |

![]() Niki....W is taking high doses of prednisone...80 mg/day for the first week and then 60 mg/ day until the doctor re-evaluates....we are seeing him on the 29th...he is also taking the weekly osteoporosis pill called Fosavance because brittle bones is one of the side effects of prednisone...they've stopped his chloroquinone for the time being since the prednisone should help his rash so no need to overmedicate....he's been off metformin for a couple of weeks now and on nightly insulin shots which I've been monitoring and increasing as necessary...his GP is probably going to prescribed the fast acting insulin depending on his sugars...we are testing his sugar 3 to 4 times per day...we will call her Sunday with the results and follow her advise...his sugars were 12 (218) before super which is really high...should be 4 to 7... ...I will give him a bit more insulin tonight....he is also on 1000 IU of vit D daily...same as me....![]() I have to run and pick Kate up...she is at a birthday party....Wyatt wanted a baconator for dinner and I ordered one for myself and switched the bun for a couple of oopsie rolls....it was really good but I'm stuffed.... I made lots of oopsie's so I can take some to Lil tomorrow....make a trade for some yocheese.... ....we are going to borrow dad's wheelchair to help W get to his appts...![]() Lise Last edited by Lise : 04-18-2008 at 04:14 PM. |

Hey everyone
![]() Lise and Lil...have a great visit!! Joyce...our tractor is still waiting on parts to the tune of $500. Still that's cheaper than buying a new one...LOL! DH can fix it all up...but, come on already...we've been waiting 3 weeks. I've contracted someone to come cut our grass on Monday or Tuesday...I just can't take it anymore. It's only $50 for the two acres plus trimming...not bad. Most places I called were $40 per acre!!!!! Robin...have fun shopping. Tell us where the best prices on capris are okay? I need some new ones...but, I like the ones that are like very casual...the cargo pocket ones. Niki....are you grammasitting Caleb this weekend? Okay...need to get some laundry put away and all that poop. Never ends. DH and I are seriously thinking of trying to find a small little older model Honda or Toyota to help save on gas $$. DH's truck is just getting way too expensive to drive to work and back...he has to fill up at least once a week and it's been over $80.00 a fill up. This is with him just going back and forth to work and maybe 2 extra trips with taking Dominic to flag football or Aikido. Yikes!! I know I have to fill up the van once a week and it usually takes me about 17 gallons to fill it up depending on how long the fuel light has been on....Baaaahhahh. Anyone have any suggestions about finding a good quality older model small Honda or Toyota? I mean other than the normal way with the paper and car lots. I know what your saying about the price of gas Charlene. Cheapest here is at Costco for 3.26. We drive our honda most of the time, only take the tahoe when we buy a big item, so mostly it just sits in the garage, good place for it till the gas comes down if it ever does. I don't know how people can afford gas if they are only making minimum wage.
Charlene that is cheap for 50.00 to cut and trim, thats a steal. We're still trying to get landscraping done around our new bedroom. The man we want to do it, is so busy, but gosh our additions have been done since a year ago now, so I don't know what is holding him up. I did call the other day and asked him once again if he has time to do it or not, and if he can't would he please recommend someone, so will see. Man those parts of expensive also Charlene, gosh everything is getting so expensive even with food going up and up. Lil and Lise hope you two are having a good bash.Wish all of us here could join you two. Robin, how are you today? Niki? Ok, buzzer is going off. Kids are coming for BBQ so I made a cake. BBL |

Hi everyone. It is just like summer here.
Lise has just left. Wayne was able to come too. He borrowed our wheelchair. He will be able to use it to get from the parking lot to the doctor's office. We had a really nice visit but the time went too quickly. My niece and her husband dropped in too. My bone scan was fine. I told the doctor I was going to stop some of my pills to see why my legs ache so badly. Instead of getting off pills I ended up getting 2 more. I just can't win. Our grass isn't green enough to cut yet. If it stays this warm it will soon be ready. I hope you are all having a good weekend.

Good Morning everyone and Happy Sunday.
Lil, glad your scan came out ok, but not good on more pills. I actually only take a couple prescriptions pills, and the rest are OTC ones, vitamin, calcium, fish oil and baby aspirin, and three of those are huge ones, so hard for me to swollen. Seems like it takes me forever to swallon them, which sometimes leads me not to take at least one of them. Glad you and Lise had a nice visit and the weather was good. We're getting rain today and I think tomorrow, so its cloudy and gloomy again, but sorta pretty looking outside since the grass is so green and the trees still have the pretty blooms on them. So how is everyone else doing today? |

Hi everyone. It is warm today. I went to church with just a cardigan on instead of a coat. I didn't need a sweater but the sleeves cover up all the bruises I have on my arms.
DSD is here for a visit. She is going to stay overnight and go home tomorrow. Then she will be going to stay with Wayne while Lise is at work. There have been lots of cottagers going by all weekend. You would never believe the gas was so expensive. Most of them will pay anything to get out of the city for a few days. If I had to live in the city I would feel the same way. I hope you are all having a good weekend. |

![]() Vroom, vroom ladies. Time to do it all over again. However, I don't feel refreshed in the least from my weekend. I need to have another weekend.....is that possible? ![]() ![]() Had some unexpected company yesterday for dinner. Thankfully, at least the first floor of the house was cleaned up and I had extra ravioli in the freezer...so, it all worked out. However, ravioll, in any form, is never friendly for a lower carb diet....and me being a glutton for punishment stepped on the scale today. Up 1...but, still overall down several from my start date. I'm hoping to lose at least 1 lb by Friday...well, actually two...the 1 I am up and another one!! More later chickies....I'm in slow motion today and feel like I could just lay down on the bed and forget about this whole work thing. Here's hoping I perk up. |

Good morning everyone. The snow is nearly all gone. The daffodils are up and have flower buds ready to burst. It is a beautiful day.
We have another great-grandchild (#14). This one is a girl with an impossible name. We think she was born last Monday. Her parents are going to have their hands full. This is their 6th child and neither of them work. DSD has just left. They are taking their trailer down to get a new awning. When that is fixed they will take it to the campgrounds for the summer. |
