Lise.....I have sent you some emails about Wayne's drugs. If you send me the names of some of his other pills I will look them up too.
A lot of his symptoms are caused by Lipitor.

Aaack, I finally can see pictures on this thread again. Who knows the deal...pfffff. Had the red X thing.

Robin...BTW, Ethan is beautiful, beautiful. Gosh, everyone on this thread just has good lookin' babies!!

Joyce...your lawn pictures are great as well. So green.

Lise...I hope the Lasix is helping W. I read up on that drug and it's very hard on the cardio aspect of the body....but, like Niki said he will definately shed the water.

Okay...gotta dash and get something done....been a lazy bum trying to get this 'puter running a little better.

Char, we crossed this morning...great pic of Dom! He's growing so fast! He has the most beautiful eyes!

I'm still sticking to LC...feeling good about it. Although I stay pretty low to moderate carb for the most part, it's been a long time since I've been consistently low carb w/no cheats. I'm not counting anything, just sticking to LC foods. I'm not seeing much movement of the scale...constantly fluctuating because of the fluid...but yesterday I could tell my pants are getting loose, so that should keep me motivated to stay on track. J is doing great and has dropped almost 20 lbs. She was at 17 yesterday, and went drinking last night and was 4 more down this morning, but I reminded her that drinking can dehydrate you and I usually drop a few after a night of drinking, but a couple of them creep back on in the next day or so.

The monkeys should be here any time...better go nail everything down.

Hey there....I'm home now....fed the natives and munching on a bowl of fried cabbage.....

Lillian...I got your emails and went to that site....pretty interesting stuff...W is also taking Atacand....I looked it up and it seemed like any other hypertention medicines...he stopped taking it about 3 or 4 days ago....all he's really taking right now is the baby asprin...the Reactin....hydroxazine and insulin....oh and he's still taking his clonazepam...I just did his blood pressure and it was 110/55 which I think is a bit low but it's terrific since he's only taking his Norvasc now for it....

Wayne has had 2 doses of lasix and he's not seeing any difference...no extra peeing and he's still all bloated......I hope this works soon....I'm really worried...especially the weakness and fatigue....

Niki....your plan sounds just like mine....eating low carb foods...my sugars when I got home were 5.6.......( 100.8 )....the weight is coming off me slowly too but I've got the rest of my life to do this....I've lost 6 lbs in about 3 weeks and that includes my giant leap off the wagon with lots of pizza and ice cream cake for my neice's birthday.......Jenna is doing really well too....20ish lbs is probably really noticeable.....

Charlene...if the oopsie thread is too intimidating for you let me know and I'll post my recipe here....I have made them the same from day one....I bake them on parchment paper on a cookie sheet....nothing fancy here....I made a big batch last night....8 eggs/8 oz cream cheese and it makes 24...I froze 6...put 6 in the fridge and the rest are on the counter...I had an egg McUNmuffin for breakfast....2 actually and they were really good and filling....and guilt free......

Good morning everyone. The sun is shining but the wind is cold.

It looks like we are going to have another quiet day. I am going to church this morning. I will have someone to talk to for a while.

ROWD1- YES book that massage girlfriend cause if you don't I'm surely gonna use it..... they are wonderful and my treat to myself every other Sat.... I've gotten greedy this past yr since before I got them 1 time a month but the past few months I get them every other Sat when I don't work... Oh well it's my treat to myself for trying to take care of my body plus I know when I get regular massages I don't need my chiro. as often either so saves $$$$ there to (well @ least it sounds good huh)?!?

Good morning....

I've taken the morning off work since W has a doc appt and then he needs to get some blood work done...these little things have become an ordeal since he isn't moving very well.......the lasix doesn't seem to be working......

Charlene here is the original oopsie recipe with my notes........you just know I have to get my 2 cents in.......

Cleochatra's Best Ever Revol-Oopsie Rolls

3 large eggs
1 pkg Splenda
dash of salt
pinch of cream of tartar
3 ounces cream cheese (not Tbsp!) Do not soften!

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Separate the eggs into two separate very clean mixing bowls. Add the Splenda, salt and cream cheese to the yolks. Whip the whites until they are thick and add the cream of tartar and continue beating until very stiff peeks form. (you should be able to flip the bowl upside down). Leave the whites for a minute and beat the yolk/cream cheese mixture until smooth. Using a spatula, carefully fold the egg yolk mixture into the white mixture, being careful not to break down the whites.

Spoon 6 heaps of the mixture onto a cookie sheet that has been covered with parchment paper or a silpat and flatten them slightly. Bake about 30 minutes (You want them slightly softer, not crumbly). Let cool on the sheet for a few minutes, and then remove to a rack and allow them to cool. Store them in an unzipped ziplock bag to keep them from drying out. They will stick to each other so place a bit of wax or parchment paper between.

Makes 6@ about 85 calories a piece, >1 carb per

Per Batch: 525 Calories; 45g Fat; 25g Protein; 4g Carbohydrate; 0g Dietary Fiber; 4g Net Carbs

Per Roll: 87 Calories; 7g Fat; 4g Protein; .66g Carbohydrate; 0g Dietary Fiber; .66g Net Carbs

I don’t like partial pkg of cream cheese in the fridge so I use a whole 8 oz pkg with 8 eggs, 1 heaping ¼ tsp of cream of tartar and 5 packets of Splenda to make 24…I store 6 in a baggie in the freezer, 6 in a baggie in the fridge and the other 12 I leave on the counter…this batch lasts me 1 week.

Must fly...organizing our papers before we leave...

and have a great day
Lise

Good morning everyone. It is a lovely morning. I hope it stays that way all day.

Lise....I hope Wayne gets some results today. This has gone on far too long. You must be worn out yourself. Don't get sick

Robin.....Those massages sound very nice. One of these days I should try one.

Three of my cousins dropped in yesterday. Two brothers and their sister. It was very unexpected but we had a really nice visit. The oldest one is dying of cancer but he is still cheerful. He looks terrible. The other brother has not been very well either. We used to play together when we were little kids. It is sad to see them the way they are today. None of them complain. They try to go on as if there was nothing wrong with them. The sister is the youngest and she is recovering from a heart attack. Old age is no fun.

Bffy187- what a nice surprise to have your cousins stop by but how unfortunate about their health... Makes us all think twice about ours and how we sometimes take it for granted when we feel good but then when something happens how much it changes our lives.... been there done that w/my breast cancer issue 1.5 yrs ago... I know I have changed alot since then as far as my diet and mostly quitting smoking Coming up on 11 months smoke free on May 4th and can't wait to celebrate my 1 yr anniv. in June- DH's taking me out that night for dinner little does he know and to a fancy place too !! haha

And as far as their attitude you described- attitude is everything when it comes to how you feel and recover I really do believe.... good for them for having such a positive attitude- that is huge...

ok off for now- stomach is starting to rumble again?!?

Lise...thanks for your version of the 8 oz...8 eggs one. Yours would actually be less calories per roll. I made 2 batches last night...one with garlic powder and some other italian spices sprinkled in and one with some pumpkin pie spice and a little Splenda. They still taste kinda eggy but, they will be nice to have a sandwich on or to heat back up and use some sf syrup over for breakfast. I think I might try adding some flax or almond meal to reduce that egg souffle taste. Good stuff.

Robin....have you been check for your TOM stuff? Sounds like you might have some issues if you have so much trouble every month. They have some great procedures to relieve the heavy bleeding and stuff. My sister had the Novasure procedure done over a year ago and is loving not having a period anymore. Some people still have one...but, it is greatly reduced. Do a web search.

Lil....you went to church and had visitors? What a great day!!

Joyce..what's on your agenda today?

Niki....

Okay....gotta get a formative assessment ready for tomorrow. See you chickies later.

I walked down to the road to get the mail. The wind was cold from the north BUT I heard the frogs singing for the first time. Every time it gets cold at night they will stop singing. Once they have been shut up three times, it will be Spring, finally. The snow is melting so fast most of the rivers are flooding. I am glad we live on high ground.

Good morning everyone. It is a lovely sunny day. It was cool but it is getting warmer.

We went to the clinic to get our blood tested. That is done for another month.

I hope you are all having a good day.

Just a quickie...trying to grade my formative assessments so I can do all the item analysis junk tonight on Excel.

I made a pizza shell like thing last night where you take some eggs and cheese basically and bake it. The recipe is floating around somewhere on the recipe threads. I cut it into 8 pieces and took some pizza sauce to dip 2 pieces into today for my lunch...yumoo.

I'm going to try and journal my food here...so, I don't have to write it down...yep, I'm lazy. I just have to record so much paperwork at school, this will be easier.

Today:
coffee w/ff creamer
1 minute muffin
2 pieces of cheese eggy crust and some pizza sauce
32 oz of water

Hugs and hello to all...I'll try to get back online later to post some indies...

Robin....prayers and hugs to all of your family on this day of remembering baby Phoenix.

I was in such a rush this morning.........Robin I'm so sad for you and your family today....I can hardly believe a year has passed since baby Phoenix made her brief appearance in your life.........I know little Ethan can't replace her but I'm sure a little snuggle with him will help...

Thanks to all and yes hard to believe a year has gone by since she was born and then passed away on May Day- time does go by fast doesn't it?!? And yes we all are thankful for healthy baby Ethan and if only I could snuggle w/him today but still not feeling up to par yet so definitely do not want him to get what I want so will have to wait till the wknd again

....

B-yogourt, coffee with coffee mate
S-2 turkey pepperettes
L-yogourt, cream of mushroom soup at hand
S-1 serv Mrs May's pumpkin clusters
D-fried cabbage, LO sauteed chicken breast/mushrooms/red pepper...yummo
S-will be 1 c frozen raspberries/ 1 c 1 % milk in my Magic Bullet.....double yummo

My pre-dinner sugars were 4.9 ( 88.2).........I'm loving LC this time around...I'm not bored yet and not even considering going off plan...something just feels different and I think it may be that I'm allowing myself alot more carbs which helps with food choices and I'm also not journalling or counting at all...I really feel pressure when I keep track...it's very time consuming....I'm convinced that it's the diabetic scare that has made me find a way to make LC work for me.....

I can't wait for The Biggest Loser tonight.....I really think it very well might be Kelly....as long as Roger went home that is otherwise he is a shoo in....let's face it Ali can't lose much more.....and Mark can't win because....well to put it nicely I'm just not fond of him....

Hey all..up to my eyeballs in putting this stuff on Excel to analyze my testing data...hugs all around.

Be back in the a.m.

Lise...I am so proud of you on your sugars. I also am not strictly counting my carbs this time around...just eyeballing it to keep it near 100ish or less.

My tummy tells me when I've had too many carbs....starvorama the next day or so. I've not been awfully hungry today and am loving that feeling. May not last...but, heck I'll take it for now.

To add to my list of food:
one very thin end of homemade bread (very thin)
1 c. yogurt w/peanut butter powder and EWBW chocolate chips w/sweetner
