ROWDY1- Mandy is my oldest; turns 21 this month and her and her sister both have their own apts. w/their boyfriends and they live in the same bldg- which will be good since she will have quick access to a babysitter if need be?!? haha I will be going up to the hospital after I get off work- gonna walk over there since it is close to my house- like 6 blocks or so... nice day here BUT they are saying that damn S word again for Thur or Fri?!? Arghhh

Good morning....

I was MIA yesterday because I had to take W to the ER...he is having too many symptoms/side effects and his doc and specialist both recommended taking him to ER when I called them...better access to quick tests and speedy results....his arms are so swollen it looks like he has no elbows.......and his fatigue/full body ache are extreme...his rash seems to be getting better somewhat but it's also changing so we wanted it checked out....the ER doc recommended that we suspend the hydroxychloroquine sulfat until we see the specialist next week...he has 3 doc appts next week........prayers would be appreciated....he is too young to feel so old....

I am still OP and my sugars are really staying down....can't wait to weigh myself tomorrow....

Robin...looking forward to Ethan pics....I'm so happy mother and son are doing well....

We're off to town today as DD has her hearing appointment for hearing aid. Shes almost deaf in her left ear, stems from baby/childhood ear infections, so we are going with her.

Good morning to all and Happy ALMOST Friday
Am really looking forward to a nice, relaxing wknd- No working just some much needed R&R for grannie here?!? haha Walked up to the hospital after work and was there for a few hrs- baby Ethan was so good and another of my sisters came up and could not believe how cute he was- he has alot of dark blk hair and such a small, cute face- a real keeper if I must say so myself?!? haha Anyhow I've done well OP lately believe it or not what w/all this craziness... told DH I feel a little thinner today and the smart man he is says yes you do look a little thinner. haha Bless his heart he knows how to play the game all to well & what to say!! haha Anyhow they are saying snow tonight for us again and into tomorrow- oh joy?!? ARGHHH Good thing DD gets to go home today and not have to deal w/baby and all that so that worked out well. Anyhow off for now good day to all & I promise one day soon I'll post a pic or 2 when I can get all the stuff figured out?!? haha My digital dies so waiting on pics that my sister took w/her camera... but I'll get ya all some eventually.... ok off for now ROCKIN'

Thanks for all of the W prayers....I just got a call from his GP to see how it went....she is on vacation and we just love her to bits....she wants him to go to urgent care tonight and get some water pills from the doc on call.......he has at least 6 lbs of water weight on him and she wants it off...his kidneys are fine and so is his pressure so she knows that it is safe....she is going to call his specialist too to keep him in the loop...all on her week off....

Have a great day everyone...I'm just now having my breakfast.......steel cut oatmeal with brown sugar twin and a coke zero.......I'll get my act together for lunch....it's all OP but just doesn't seem right somehow.......

Robin....you made me chuckle when you said that Ethan is a keeper.........it seems like things have really turned around for you....I hope this snow you are getting doesn't stick....enough is enough...

Just some reposts of my post that went poof the other day.

Joyce...wanted to tell you that your new window bench is beautiful.

Niki...Caleb is really joyous looking. Oh, how he looks like a happy baby. Spoiled rotten for sure.

Lise...steel cut oats? Are they hard to prepare? I heard it take a long time to cook.

Lil...does the chiropractor adjust you all the way down your spine? Feet and knees and elbows and stuff also? I've been having a flare up and trying to walk while it's going on....my knee was really out for awhile. But, now the adjustments with my hip and stuff seem to be holding finally and the clicking in my knee is gone.

Robin...give your DH a gold star. He surely is trained well in the "weight" department with women.

Eats today:
1 c. plain lowfat yogurt (not drained) with 2 Tbl. peanut butter powder, sweetner and small handful of sugar free chocolate chips.
some coffee with creamer and no sweetner
LC shake
4 or 5 pecan halves

I brought a cheese stick to eat on my planning period and will eat some more nuts (hopefully sparingly) if I really get crazy hungry. I was so crazy hungry yesterday...but, today is a little better. But, who knows what it will be like by the time I cook dinner. Yesterday I simmered some meatballs in sauce and we had pasta w/green beans. I might have had a serving of pasta (hard to tell)...but, just barely.

Trying to keep my carbs about 100ish per day.

Time to hit the restroom....kids coming in soon.

Hi everyone. It is sunny today but we have a cold north wind. We are supposed to get freezing rain and snow tonight.

I will not get the results of the bone scan until I see the doctor next week. I think the whole test was a waste of time.

Lise....I am glad they are going to do something for W right away instead of waiting until next week. DH takes 4 water pills a day to keep the swelling down in his legs.

Charlene.....My Chiropracter works on my neck and spine. He puts me in 2 different machines. One vibrates my legs to help the circulation and the other one is a ring that has a magnetic field. I am not sure what it does. When I come out of the office I can walk much better but it wears off in a few days. He gets better results than the doctors and their pills. Now the snow has gone off the driveway I have been walking down to the mailbox most days.

Good things always come in threes. Who is going to get the third Grandson?

Good Morning Ladies. Off to the market today. After yesterday and picking up our taxes, we're lucky we can even afford the gas. I tell ya, you young people here, you save and save and then when you retire and start taking out your 40lK money or CDs, then they hit you with taxes and estimated taxes, etc. What a government we have. Here we are seniors and have to pay estimated taxes, and now again we have to pay pretty close to 10,000. Ouch. No deductions either. Work work work, to pay off your house etc. What do they say, death and taxes are what you work toward??? Ok, enough about that.

Beautiful here today. We cut grass the other day and the yard looks so nice with the trees blooming etc.

Oh I lost a pound last night also, so happy about that.

Lil, I will take a granddaughter if their are any floating around, as I know my daughter doesn't want anymore.

Good morning everyone. It is raining today. The freezing rain is north of us thank goodness.

Joyce....Your lawn looks beautiful. All that nice green and flowers. All we have are small piles of snow, dirt and mud. No green yet. I know what you mean about taxes. Whenever I make out the income tax I get in a very bad mood. I worked hard for quite a few years and now everyone wants to take my money away from me. I have told my girls that there will be no money for them when I go because I intend to spend it before the taxes take it all away.

How are the babies doing?

DH is mad at me this morning. We close off the living room and keep a heater on. It got so hot in here this morning I felt sick. I was starting to get dizzy so I opened the door and let some of the heat into the rest of the house. He says he wasn't too hot and I should close the door. The door is still open.

Lise....Did Wayne get some water pills to get rid of some of the fluid? How is he feeling? How are you feeling?

Good morning to all and HAPPY FRIDAY!! Wowzah has this been one butt kickin' week for me!! WooHoo~~~ so I am sooooo looking forward to a nice, NO working WW wknd to do whatever I want.... Even the snow we got last night is not getting me down cause I'm looking forward to the wknd so much!! haha I slept so good last night & it was very hard to get up this morning for work... so other than that things are starting to settle down some- DD & baby went home yesterday to get all settled in @ home and she was glad to get home to her surroundings... So hope all's well w/everyone else and will talk to you all later... till then, rock on ~~ ROCKIN'

Well I'm pretty exhausted and getting worse...W is so weak...I'm so worried about him...we didn't make it to the clinic last night as W didn't think he could manage the walk from the car park to the front door........I phoned the doc at home and asked her to call in a Rx..she did and I'm picking it up on my way home....it's called Lasix....sounds like what they give the race horses........she also ordered blood work to keep an eye on his kidney function??....she also told him to cut out his metformin which I'm really pleased about...hate that stuff....she said to increase his insulin if his sugars go too high.......

I'm so glad it's the weekend...although I'm updating my first aid and the course runs from 9-3 Sat and 9-noon Sunday........no rest for the wicked....I should book Monday as a vacation day....don't want to use them all up but oy....

We shall see....
