Okay, question of the day... Do you have a "Goal" outfit? If you have already made it to goal, did you have one while you were losing weight? If so what is it?
I don't have a particular outfit yet, but I do want to fit into a skirt I used to love when I first met my husband. This was only 4 years ago, but I've come a long way since ![]() |

Thanks for the warm welcome!
I don't know if any of you read the main lobby threads, but I kind of had a mini meltdown with the low carbing, lol. I'll tell you a bit about meself and give you me history, lol:I've done Atkins off and on for years (you know the drill, lose the weight, keep it off for a while, slowly you gain it back, lose it again, etc.), and I recently had an ingenious idea -- when I was under the influence of PMS hormones, mind you! -- to try doing low calorie for a while because I just wasn't feeling the low carb foods so much anymore... But after less than a week of that , I'M BACK! I really want to stick with it this time. I am DETERMINED to do a clean induction, continue exercising daily... I've been better about that this time around .... and then slowly work me way up the carb rungs! I hope you all won't be afraid to give me a kick in the arse should I even HINT at the fact that I might cheat or start doing some sort of low calorie thing again. ![]() I look forward to chatting with all of you! All of your losses are very inspirational as well!

![]() ![]() Yes, I have a pair of goal jeans that my best friend Weezie bought for me... She can fit in them and she's a skinny mini! Welcome Heythatsfun! Any chance you have a shorter name/nick name we can use?! Don't feel bad about trying something new--now you know that low cal isn't the way to go! I've been trying all kinds of new things lately and none of them are working---you think I'd learn! Glad you joined us!
Lei--Sis! Well, I'm pretty sure that being my sis right now is a scary thing--but hey, it keeps life interesting! I do the same thing with clothes--I've bought tons over the last year and a half but other than an outfit when I had an interview, I have never bought anything that fits--I always buy one size smaller. Now I'm just going with snug as I don't know if I'll make it a full size smaller or not. It will be weird to actually go and buy clothes that fit when I buy them! What size are you shooting for? Missy--that was one carby salad! I wonder what the headaches are about? Are you prone to them? I'm glad you're finding the increased carbs are working out for you. I know a lot of people start and stay too low that don't need to and that always worries me. A lot of people do need to be lower, but not everyone. I don't think I will ever be over 100 net unless I really start to get into exercise, but I can live with that! Lucy--how was today? Have you found your appetite yet? As far as a goal outfit, I don't really have one.....I do have a pair of size 6 jeans that are currently quite tight and a really cute clingy blouse. In the back of my mind I hope they will fit and look nice by this summer...so I guess that's my goal outfit! Lisa--I hope your headache goes away and that you had a great steak dinner tonight! Sorry you have the f-it attitude too---mine has been coming and going today, but that's a bit better than it was. Here's the recipe for Pumpkin Mousse 1 8oz brick of cream cheese--softened 1 cup canned pumpkin sweetener to taste (there really were no measurements on this, so I just add a few drops liquid splenda or stevia until I get it right) 1 teaspoon cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice (I actually use about a tablespoon of each--but I love these flavors!) 1/2 to 1 cup cream, whipped Mix everything together except whipped cream, then fold whipped cream into the mixture. That's it! Very tasty and very high fat, even if you use a light cream cheese. I ate it a lot during my first month or so of low carb--it helped with the sweet tooth thing and kept hunger at bay. Carbquick--I have no sub for this. I order it through Netrition. I'm guessing they ship to where you are (?). I don't use it a whole lot, but it is nice to have. On the feta cheese thing---just my opinion, but I think it tastes like feet! Not that I have tasted feet, but it tastes like I think feet would taste! Well, I decided that I would try the 5HTP since I already have it. It's a natural supplement that is suppose to basically help with mood, appetite and sleep. It was all the rave awhile back on these boards and I was having a lot of trouble sleeping at that time so I bought some. I only took it a couple of days and saw no results (I like quick fixes--can ya tell) and quit taking it. Anyway, I'm going to give it another shot. The GTF Chromium is just a specific type of chromium (I guess like Chromium picolonate is a specific type?) that is suppose to help with sugar cravings. I don't have any but I think I will pick some up this weekend. It is suppose to have an immediate effect, which I need! Anyway, I try not to fall into all the quick fix gimmicks I see, but right now I think I need all the "crutches" I can get until I find my mojo again! Night ladies--hope you all have a great weekend! |

Hi again!
Silly me I forgot to tell you all me name! I'm Anna, nice to meet you! I came up with me meal plan for tomorrow and for the rest of the week. I've never done this before, but I'm hoping that it'll keep me on track. I just needed something different because how I was doing Atkins before my "low calorie meltdown" [that's what I'm calling it ] just wasn't working; I couldn't stay on track. For the first time ever, I prepped all of me food for the next 4 or 5 days! I steamed all me veggies, like broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage, cut up all me lettuce, pre-cooked and shredded me chicken, individually packaged beef and ground turkey patties, and all that sort of thing. I really have no excuse for not following it now. Meal 0: coffee w/ half&half and a bit of Splenda Meal 1: 2 eggs scrambled with 1/4 cup of shredded cheese Meal 2: 1/2 cup of steamed cabbage with butter Meal 3: chicken salad (I made it with just mayo, shredded chicken breasts, chopped up cucumbers, and italian seasoning) Meal 4: 1/2 cup steamed broccoli with butter and garlic Meal 5: hamburger patty w/ lettuce and a slice of cheese Meal 6: Salad with Italian dressing I think that looks Atkins friendly! ... Oh, and about the feta taste question, I find it to be more of an "acquired" taste, and by that I mean that I hated it at first and then grew to love it. I would eat a Greek salad for every meal if I could! |
