Lisa--oh yeah, I wasn't ignoring your comment about the scale...OK, maybe I was. I am a scale ho! I am! I am! Not sure if I could go without--I've done it a couple of times but I wasn't up at the time so it wasn't so bad....hmmm, I'll have to think about it! Maybe I just like the misery of it all!

Good morning, everyone! I hope everyone is doing well.

Yesterday was another busy day ... I'll spare you the details, however ... it was about as exciting as Lei's day ... mostly just work, work, work ... nothing bad going on, just busy-ness (love that)!

We did have a beautiful sunny Springy day yesterday ... was in the 60's ... people where wearing shorts and flip flops ... ... people are here are funny ... short and flip flops at 60 in the Spring, coats and boots at 60 in the late Summer ...

Today is cloudy and we expect rain this weekend ... looking forward to those May flowers that are going to result from all the April showers!

Here are my thoughts for today ...

Feeling a little funky today, so I am pulling myself out of it [feeling better since I originally posted this].

Here are some things that I am grateful for today:
  1. It's Friday
  2. I am healthy
  3. I am happy
  4. I am joyful
  5. All good things are coming to me
  6. I am at my ideal weight
  7. I have the opportunity to walk every day
  8. I do the things that I love to do
  9. I have a loving husband
  10. I have sweet little dogs
  11. I have good friends
  12. I have a loving family
  13. All good things are coming my way
  14. I can eat whatever I want to be at my ideal weight
  15. Everything I chose to eat nourishes my body
  16. I am happy, healthy, abundant, joyful, loving

Later,
Deb

Just what are you trying to say? I'm boring?? Don't be shy, I can take it!!

Teresa~ I really need to know.... After losing so much weight, how do you see yourself now?? When you look in the mirror, what do you see? I'm asking for a reason, that I will fill you in on, when you answer..

I'm off to work shortly, so I will check back in from work....

Deb~ Little miss cutie patootie!! I look forward to your happy thoughts of the day!!

hey girls, I apologize again, I'm probably one of the reasons it's slow. My DD finally seems to have cut one of her teeth, but there's another following. She's a lil monster and wont let me do anything!

Im not losing any weight anymore, I dunno why. Yeah I know I should step off the scale, but I'm also a scale ho and you can't stop me Is it time to increase carbs for me? I was planning on starting rung on weigh in day. WHat do you all think?

Okay it's 10:40Am and I've only had water. I'm off to make some breakfast and I will come back and post details about my day

Wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get on here today. My connection was acting up I had to unplug the modem and router and restart and then restart my computer but I'm back online. Yeah! I've had a pretty easy day. Only changed one diaper! LOL!

I'm not posting my LONG MENU today.

The kids have no school today so I figured I'd have a full house. I watch 10 including my kids in an addition on the side of my house that's specifically daycare. But i have just 5 kids right now one 3 year old, 2 5yr olds, my 10 year old and a 7 year old. Had a 1 year old but he had dr appt so he's missed most of day and will be back soon.

My kids don't go back to school til' Tuesday. Spring break .

My hubbies home too, but I barely see him. He stays out of daycare areas mostly. The kids get on his nerves after a while.

Lucy...like I asked before...are you getting your full night's sleep....because if you are not AND if you say you are not eating on time...your body is most probably in starvation mode......one thing that i have learned is.......if you want to lose regularly, you need to eat regularly...in other words NEVER let yourself get hungry..NEVER

Lisa- Well I'm trying to fix the issues. Today I moved the office into the living room and gave my DD her own room. Before, she was sharing a room with Dh and us (we have a 2 bedroom apartment) and she won't sleep if we are in there So I was stuck sleeping on the floor next to the bedroom door, dh was sleeping in the office floor. This has been going on for like 2 months, so I just went ahead and moved out bedroom into where the office was. I'm not so crazy about all this, BUT I have to get rest. I was going to bed at 2:00 AM, and slept till 7 or 8 AM INTERRUPTED like 4 times in that period. Then I would doze on and off till 10AM. SO if I got 4 hours of straight sleep, it was a luxury. SO, tonight is the firs night I have my room back in over a year, so we will see how this goes. I KNOW it has mostly to do with my lack of sleep. I haven't worked out but one day this week cuz I'm just SO tired.

so there ya have it in a nutshell. Let's see if next week is a better los for me, also I havent even been getting to 20 carbs a day the past few days, my apetite has been dead, i'd rather sleep. I'm not doing well at all. SO, here's to a good nights rest tonight. It is 9:30pm and i plan on going to bed at 11:00 PM tonight, that will be the first time in God knows how long!

Morning--happy Saturday all! It's snowing here....I'm so sick of it...

Lucy--I hope you got a nice long well deserved rest last night! Getting a lot of rest really is important to weight loss (and everything else!). Your body needs lots of energy to burn fat, so definitely get some sleep!

Lisa---opps, I meant Drill Sargeant LCQ! I'm pretty sure I can't even do 20 push ups, but now that you said that I'm curious so I'm going to try it! Hope you got the insurance thing all taken care of.

Missy--that's a lot of kids--I would never have that much patience! Please keep sharing your menu's, I love getting ideas from everyone else!

Lei--what do I see....well, that varies from day to day. I think mostly I just see a smaller version of my former huge self. I still think of myself as fat, just not as fat. Then I'll catch a glimpse of my reflection somewhere and think--no way, I'm actually small/normal! In the bathroom at work I often get a surprise (OK, that sounds weird already) because at the sinks there are long mirrors and there might be several of us standing there. I am always shocked when I am standing by thin girls/ladies and realize that I'm not much bigger than they are, or that I'm smaller than people who I consider to be normal size. So basically, I live with a very screwed up perception of myself! I have thought a zillion times that I would like to get about a dozen women who I "think" are about the same size as I am and have our pictures taken together from several angles so that I could really see what I look like---but I'm not sure how to arrange that! So, I want to know, why do you ask?!

OK, so the scale still hates me (and I definitely hate it) so today is going to be a low carb, low fat, high protein day. Mostly chicken, pork tenderloin, eggs, protein drinks and a few veggies--scattered throughout the day. I'll probably follow this by a few days of induction style eating and then back to normal. My hands are still swollen when I wake up in the mornings so I know I'm still holding onto water but I'm not sure why--so it's time to be done with it!
Exercise will be 30 min on mini trampoline and cleaning!

I'll check in later.

I wanted to know because I wanted to see if your self perception was as screwed up as mine is...I absolutely hate mirrors with a passion! I still see myself at 230lbs, and it really pisses me off sometimes.. Not all the time, just most of the time.. Sometimes I'll catch a quick glimpse of myself (like at the mall) and I'll stop to go back and look.. The first time passing by, I really didn't think that it was me, but when I went back and looked a second time, it was the same fat chick I always see... Does that make any sense? I was just wondering if other people had the same kind of perception of themselves... And no 2 mirror's are the same... I had one at home that made me look even bigger then I am, so I threw that baby to the curb!
I hear what your saying about wanting to take pictures.... To compare.... I'm always comparing myself to skinnier people, and wondering if I am close to their size or not...
Whatever it is, I do hope we grow out of it, cause it's really annoying the hell outta me...

Yep, it sounds like we have the same screwed up perceptions! I hope it goes away too. It would be easier to relax and not be so stressed to lose (or freaked out when I gain) if I could see myself as normal. It's weird because I know intellectually that I am a normal size---I just can't see it most of the time. Maybe that's why I have no desire to actually be thin, I mean hey, it's not like I'd ever get to actually see it or feel that way!!

I got a mini whoosie! I woke up a pound lighter! I got some sleep in last night, not alot more. I wound up staying up arguind with Dh till 1 or 2 Am, my DD was up like 5 times between then and 7. BUt I did sleep on my bed, my body got some rest and after 7am, my DD slept till 11AM as did I! SO Im hoping tonight will be lots better i guess sleep is really holding me back eh?

Today I'll be decorating my DD's room, it feels so good to have my room back, even though I was majorly angry at DH , I really enjoyoyed having him next to me last night. For once i didn't mind his snoring.

hmmmm details. Well I'm pretty regular now in the poop department, twice a day just like I used to be! the magnesium is fantastic stuff.

so those of you who have been low carbing for a while, did you all see an improvement with facial hair?? When I gained alot I started to get yuckier hair on my face, im even noticing some on my chin now. I have always been hairy, but not this much, i wonder if will go away, o\h and I also developed skin tags, I have a big one on my thigh I heard these were all insulin resistant signs, I dunno though.

Positive affirmations:
1) I am a money magnet
2) I sleep a full 8 hours each night
3) My Daughter is healthy and happy
4) I have a place to live
5) My husband and Ilove each other and are very happy together.
6) My cat pees only in his cat box
7) I eat very healthy organic foods

Hi guys

Sorry I went MIA yesterday..............it was one of those days where everything went wrong.....and the worse part WE HAD NO WATER FOR OVER 12 HRS.............do you know what it is like to have a dirty house, a sink full of dishes AND you NEED to take a shower
Anyways it is back now and I will be spending my day cleaning house.......not even going to church today

Lucy Lucy.........I feel for you hun......and I admire you too, because the oldme would have thrown in the towel on weight loss a long LONG time ago if I had to go through what you have been going through

I am SOOooo glad that you will be in your own bed and getting more sleep...I am sure it will make a world of difference in your weight losses

.....just so you know you are not alone in your screwed up perception of yourself............I remember when i had lost the 100lbs people kept complimenting me and I would think, Geeze give it a rest with the over exaggerating already, cause my mirror showed me no such thing........then i remember going to a furniture store with DH and catching a glimpse of myself in their mirror, and I caught my breath because for the first time I saw the real me and I was actually SMALL.....that one instance helped me fix my perception.....of course then about a year later I let the weight creep back on and now I HATE what I see the mirror again.....BUT not for long

Lei......like Teresa said, you should try taking pics next to people or of people who are a good normal size in your eyes, then when you compare you will see you are just like them.........it is all about re-training our screwed-up heads.

.......I remember when i had to buy smaller clothes and i would bring them home. I would look at them and think...NO WAY!!! will that fit me it looks so small, then i would try it on and it would fit.................i look at those clothes now (that my 11yr old DD is now wearing) and I am thinking .....NOW you realise how small you were ....you are such a dingbat

Now as for DH....you want me to come over and give him a piece of my mind......I find he is distressing you too often......doesn't he know how much stress you are under with DD

About the hair thing..............I used to have to go for electrolysis once every 3 weeks ....hair on my chin ....but now I am pleased to say that I don't have to go anymore.....LC definitely brought that under control.....I would like to add that when I got pregnant with my first child is when my hormones went out of whack and my hair issues started.................. I also got some spots on my face (that look like birth marks) but now I just have one left on my forehead, that has been fading..............if when I reach to goal it is still there, I will get it laser removed.....like how they remove tatoos

back Miss Drill Sergeant! Sorry to hear of your water problems, that just sucks.... So, how many times exactly did you go to turn the water on before remembering, there wasn't any? I hate when the power goes out, you always try and flick the switch before realizing there is none..

Totally on plan, and I even saved one of my bread options for 3 C of popcorn last night! *woot* That was the highlight of my day! For dinner, I tried a new recipe, one called Sweet and sour chicken, and wow, it was good! Will definitely be making that again..

Last day of work today, (afternoon shift) so I'm heading out to cut my front lawn... The sun is shining, birds are singing... Life is good!
