yay, new person!!

have you low-carbed before? post some menus so we can help you out if you get stuck. 15 lbs in 2 months is totally doable! i lost 30 in my first 3 months of low-carb, 11 of which were on the first week of induction.

i went to the gym last night and did 32 mins on the treadmill (2.2 miles) and 15 on the bike. my heart rate stayed right where it needed to be and i was a sweaty sweaty girl when i was done. so sweaty that i was embarassed to do my weight training!! i'm planning on going again tonight and getting that done, preferably BEFORE i do my cardio and get sweaty again. it was just so dang HOT in the gym!

Howdy! Welcome, Sherida!

I bought fitday pc this week, and it's helping me to stay on track. I'm down 2 lbs, not yet to my 158 low, though.

I am doing PP, 7-10g ECC, 102g protein, target of 1800 cals or so. I was maintaining great at 2200+ cals, but that's not my goal right now.

Happy April Fools Day!!!

I'm hoping that my scale wasn't playing a practical joke on me this morning, because I'm back down to 232.0. Yay! Yesterday I stuck to the plan pretty well. The only things that were less than desirable were a little bacon and cheese on the top of my salad at lunch anddinner, and some ranch dressing. I had tri tip for dinner then a salad. I'm feelin pretty good!

Today I'm hitting the gym (finally!) so Krissy - I too will be a sweaty sweaty girl. Unfortunately for all around me, I have to take BART home afterward. I brought another t-shirt to change into, but i'm really hoping i don't have to squish next to anyone. Kickboxing and an abs class. Yeehaw!

Menu for today:
B - coffee w/ h&h, 2 hb eggs
L - salad w/ hb eggs, a lil bacon & cheese
S - tri-tip asada (pre workout)
D - taco meat in some lettuce wraps
S - peanuts if i need something to crunch on

I will break through this number. 232 is my lowest in this go-round and I have gotten scared or lazy or whatever each time. No more! This week will see me at my newest low. And only 1 more lb to my 30 lb avatar thingy!!!!

Paty - good to see you for a minute! Just do your best while you're traveling and get back on track as soon as you return. We'll be here for ya!

Renae - sounds like a good plan. I use fitday online and love it, but honestly i think i use the journal and weight tracking function the most.

Sherida - welcome! This is a great group of ladies. Keep coming back. We all do, even after we've flubbed it up good. Have you tried Atkins before? I would recommend reading the book if you haven't yet. It is really helpful to understand why it works, what the processes are so you can continue to make healthy choices. Best wishes!

Ok ladies, gotta get back to work. Take care!

Hi Paty!! Glad to see you.

Aly, I just re-hit my low this time around, which is still in my profile there. 158. I am *planning* my stuff in fitday, and it is helping for sure. I dropped 2lbs. It seems bacon is a magic food. :lol

Here is my menu:

B: 3 eggs 4 bacon
S: Carb control yogurt
L: Tuna on oopsie w/salad
S: (optional) Another carb control yogurt
D: Turkey chili (prefer beef, but ground turkey was dirt cheap this week) w/salad

I am so happy to see the scale move THE RIGHT WAY! Praying the Whooshie Fairy stays a little longer so I break through this number.

Good morning ladies!

I am very happy to post a new low this go-round. The scale said 231.2 this morning! yay!!!! Water, whoosh, whatever, I'll take it! Its very motivating to break through the 232 barrier. I'm hoping the trend continues today and in the morning i'll be able to change my avatar to join the 30 lb club!!!! Also, I went to Turbo Kick Boxing and Amp'd Abs last night. I haven't been to the gym in a while, so I worked at probably 80%, but I still worked up a good sweat, pushed myself some, and am just glad I got my booty to the gym. I'm going back to the same class next week too.

Paty - your menu sounds delish... sausage, mushrooms, peppers and onions... i'm so gonna make that soon.

Renae - Congrats on re-hitting the low. I get so frustrated when I see how many times I've lost and regained the same 20 lbs, but now I'm getting into uncharted territory. Hooray for us!

Have a great day gals!

aly, good JOB on getting to the gym and seeing the new low!

renae, so bacon is the magic food? YUMMM. i'm switching over to the all-bacon diet. how awesome would that be?

paty, sauteed mushrooms are the BOMB! that's one of bf's favorite meals to fix when we go up to the cabin, steak and mushrooms and fried taters. i loves my country boy.

today:
b- cheerios
sn- breakfast burrito with tons of meat!
l- bbq chicken boob
sn- fruit cups
d- beef stroganoff

yesterday i did 30 mins on the treadmill and a couple exercises and i was done. i only worked at about 25% cuz i wasn't feelin' it

lol. krissy, u slay me. chicken boob? jeesh. and hey, at least u showed up. that is 100% more calories burned than would have been done if u sat on ur behind.

this meat and egg fast thing says stay away from bacon and cheese, but i haven't been exactly. it comes on the salad i get from applebees. but i haven't been scarfing it down like i usually do on induction. hmmm....

i'm up .4 lbs today, but i'm def not stressin on it. i had a lot of salt yesterday and not as much water as normal. i also munched on peanuts a little too mindlessly. i'm sticking to it today. i made some taco meat last night and brought it and lettuce for a taco salad this afternoon. however my coffee and 2 hb eggs have filled me up so i'll wait for a while. we have our department's monthly happy hour tonight, and i'm going to have one drink... maaaaaybe 2. not technically allowed on this fast thing, but i'm knowingly going off the plan. i'll dial down the eating today to make up for it.

Ok gals... how are the rest of you doing?

Sherida are you still with us???? Hang in there! A new way of eating can always be challenging, but it is worth it! We all keep testing that theory and can tell you that eating healthy is always better than eating "treats" and gaining weight. Always.

Alright - happy Thursday! See y'all later.

Hellloooooooooo.... anyone there?

Well, I'm back down to 231.2 this morning. I was baaaad last night. But I didn't eat dinner to at least mitigate the calories and carbs somewhat. Tsk tsk tsk. Today is a new day. And I'm pressing on!

Plan for today:
B - 2 hb eggs, coffee
L - taco salad
S - iced americano
D - pork loin or omelette... we'll see how i feel

I'm going hiking tomorrow, so that will be some activity. Hope you all are enjoying your Fridays!!!

stressed. just stressed. i'm sick of covering for everyone else's butts and getting in trouble based on what the others have said or done. oh, and my scale, i swear those batteries better be dying because there's no reasonable answer as to why i saw 200 this morning!!!

b- fried egg/chz on eng muffin, 2 coffees
sn- granola bar
l- leftover cheeseburger casserole
d- big SALAD!!!

i gotta try to fit in some gym time tonite along with everything else i'm supposed to get done... bridal shower shopping for tomorrow, picking up tim's check, taking twin's check to their mom's, etc...

see, i'm stressed!

Checking in - I've been sick sick sick. I will be making an appt this week to have some blood work also. My weight was back to 160 with no change in eating. Not giving up, just frustrated. Could be an illness thing.

Hang in there, ladies!

WOOHOO!!!! I made it to my 30 lb mark this morning. 231.0 baby. Yeah! I'm trying to stay on track and keep it up till I hit 229. I just want to be out of the 230s. FOREVER!

Krissy - Sounds like a rough week. Hang in there... you'll make it through. Keep doing the things for yourself that you know make you feel strong and healthy.

Renae - Hope you feel better soon! Sick is no fun, and blood work sounds like less fun. Keep checking in and let us know whats up.

Ok ladies - here is to doing what we know makes us feel strong, healthy and in control of our eating!

I'll check in with y'all tomorrow.

Hey Jenn! You snuck on here while I was blogging. Hope your week settles down and you get some rest.

Everyone else - happy Monday!

My plan for the week:
Induction style eating
Kickboxing Tuesday
Need to find another activity for later in the week

My goal is to get down to 229 by next Monday.

Its pretty nice out here in San Francisco. Hope the weather stays springy! It was really cold last week!

Take care,
Aly

Aw, cute. Squeak wheeze. Heh.

I'm sure you're doing fine with the trainer. Does he give you any feedback? Like, here's how much you've progressed? I've never worked with a trainer before, and I can't stick to any particular routine long enough to figure out if I'm improving.

Jenn - how is your week going? still crazy busy?

Renae - how are you feeling?

I'm continuing my downward trend. Hitting kickboxing tonight right after work. I have to come in to work on Saturday, so I think I'll come in even earlier and hit the gym for a while, then just shower there and come in. Its around the corner from work so it is quite convenient. That way it is done and out of the way.

Ok, gotta go get some breakfast. I'm dizzy and not focused enough to work. Omelette here I come!

Take care ladies!

Hi?

Hi? Friends or Foes? Can I join in? I am bad from a long sabbatical - lol. I need to come back and lose until I'm at target. I was able to stay at the weight I left at BUT I haven't lost anymore in almost a year - so I'm back

Kim - you are of course welcome!

Don't despair over the length of your maintenance phase. That is awesome! So many of us would have regained all the weight we'd lost. Actually, when I go through a few months of basically staying at the same weight, I think it is good for my body to get used to it. Then when I recommit, its easier to lose again. Just my theory, though!

Keep checking in. We're a nice group. With a swift boot to the rear when needed.
