Sue, It is great that you are feeling slightly better. Try not to push yourself too much today. Let your body rest. I know you wish you could jump up and do everything you used to,but give yourself time. We pray for a quick recovery. Glad you let us know how you are. Keep in touch and great job getting under 180!!!

Nice menu Lisa!! I have to keep reminding myself to drink water. Every time I start feeling snacky, I drink a small glass. I think I'm getting thirst and hunger mixed up.

I have the chicken divan in the oven right now! I can't wait - it smells sooo yummy!!! Going to have a nice crisp salad along side...life is good

Also, I finished off the chocolate bark today. I better keep that down to a once a month treat. I couldn't keep out of it. If that wasn't bad enough, I ate the bark along side some strawberries - wow. Speaking of, I got some REALLY great ones at the store yesterday...hard to stay out of.

Well, here I say I am going to be strict, but I had the most awful craving for an apple. I just had to have it. Oh well I will do better tomorrow.

Toni~I am making the chicken divan tonight too! That's funny! Hope yours tastes great! I agree with the bark definitly can't make that more than once a month. I am way to much of a chocaholic

Isn't it funny the things we "splurge" on while on LC? Gosh...if only I splurged on apples and strawberries during the earlier parts of my life LOL Instead it was brownies and donuts

Going to have an extra cup of coffee tonight and go sit on the front porch and just listen to whatever makes noise LOL

Enjoy the evening all!

Good Morning!

Well, I got up at 5:40 this morning very easily so I'm hoping that ketosis is kicking in. Actually, it works to my benefit since I needed more time this morning to get ready - we have a funeral at the church today at 11 - so I can't just show up in my normal jeans with no hair and makeup done LOL

B - 2 c. coffee w/splenda/half/half
- flax meal muffin w/cream cheese

L - Funeral luncheon (probably chicken)

D - Sausage and eggs
- guys may have pancakes too

Got my dog walk on last night - it's so nice that it's staying lighter later now! We have soccer and baseball practices tonight - I'll bring the dog for baseball and walk the walking path - better than sitting on my rump for 3 hours!

Enjoy the day all!

Just FYI - I am up ANOTHER lb. today I'm now up to 184.6...so that's 2.4 pounds higher than when I started this week. Why do things never work the way they are "supposed" to with me??? I want to stay off of the scale..but would hate to weigh a week from now and see 190 LOL

I HATE the scale!!! Mine is put away-I may NEVER get on it again!! Seriously, maybe the gain is related to your cycle? Dont let it get you down Toni
Notice I removed my stats from my profile Im not defining my success in that way right now!!

I'm still at it The higher scale number is just making more determined right now. I HAVE to get down under 170, no matter how long it takes! I've been in a slump lately and it's showing - physically AND mentally. I want to feel GOOD again!!!

Good for you Lisa for staying away from the scale. I almost took my stats off too - but I need that reminder of how far I have come. Soo...there it is LOL

Good!! Do whatever works for you

I just finished 30 minutes TBS-it is supposed to be a Callan day, but I really felt like getting in some cardio & weights. If I feel up to it, Ill do some 10/10 later. Food is already off track-I had the last piece of LC cheesecake for brekkie and a TBSP of PB for a snack - double !!!!!! I just have to keep telling myself, it's a better choice than I could be making(donuts, pancakes etc). Not perfect but still on plan

I am with you Lisa. I had the hubby put the scale up. I told him not to tell me where it is. I am gonna define how I am doing by how I feel. Not by what my scale tells me.

The chicken divan was wonderful. They family gobbled it up. I made rasberry muffins for breakfast this morning, they were good. I made them with the almond flour this time. So much better than the soy.

I slept in this morning, so I will have to do my callanetics tonight. What can I say i am a bum Well, I am taking my son to the park now. Will check back in later!

Good morning ladies.

I did my whole morning routine of getting DH and the boys their breakfast and lunches this morning. I had to rest a bit afterwards, but hopefully by next week I'll be pretty much back to normal.

Today is the first day I'm going to drive. Think my mom and I will go out for lunch.

Toni~The scale is so frustrating. Just concentrate on eating right and ignoring the scale. It will come off.

Stacey~if an apple is the worst thing you're snacking on, I wouldn't worry. Years ago I had my DH hide the scale. I looked in every place I could think of and never found it. He's a good hider.

Lisa~did the water do the trick yesterday. Sometimes it works for me, sometimes it doesn't. PB seems to be a downfall for many. I really have to stay away from it. Good job on the exercise.

Enjoy your lunch with Mom , Sue! It is so great that she was able to come and help out. Im sure she is enjoying feeling needed

Well, as a matter of fact, the water did NOT squelch my hunger LOL-I had some hot wings!!

Stacey~ on putting away the scale! It is so hard to do especially when we've been taught all our lives to use it to determine whether we are "healthy". I prefer body fat percentage cuz that's what we really want to know, right? Not how much our fat, bones, muscle, hair etc. weighs on a given day LOL

Been searching the net this afternoon looking for ways to lose the last 10 pounds and there is a general consensus that one must kick the exercise up a notch I thought I did that????? Now it is suggested I do a second cardio session at night-Dang!!! not what I wanted to hear I am already experiencing DOMS with my weight workouts so not sure I can do more.

Sue~ Hope lunch goes well. Where you going to go?

Lisa~I agree the last ten suck and the last five are just annoying! They make you want to scream. Will you be able to fit in another work out in your hectic day? I don't think I could manage that. Let me know how it works if you do add another one.

Well today I walked about 6 miles. The only reason we did that is our big playground is having new grass put down, so I had to turn around and go allllllllll the way back past my house to the other playground. I was not a happy camper...hahaha! Oh well got in some exercise. Hope to still do my callanetics when the hubby gets home tonight. Have a great one!

I wish I was down to my last 10 lbs. LOL I wish I had your guy's motivation for exercise - I've been so tired lately that by afternoon, I'm ready for a nap every day! I HATE that feeling!

I buckled a little bit today at the funeral luncheon but not TOO bad. I could easily just gorge myself for the rest of the day, but I'm not going to. RIGHT back at it with dinner. Actually, I'm still full from lunch so I might just skip dinner since we have sports tonight. I'll have something a little later tonight.

I wish that "burst" of energy would hurry and get here. Usually around day 3 it starts - but not this time. Funny how each experience with LC is different.

Off to soccer!

Hey Toni, I hated the first few weeks of exercise, but now if I don't do it I feel beyond lazy. It is funny how that goes. Well, I will chat with you all later!

BTW, I am glad I found you guys. You all really make the road an easier one to travel. Thanks!

Exercise in not in my vocab for a few weeks. Just a trip out to eat and to pick up a few things at the store wore me out. I decided to do some research and found out that this is normal. They said it could take 3-6 weeks to get back to normal, so I have a ways to go. 9 days down.

Lisa~I hope you can find what it takes to lose that last 10 because we'll be coming to you for help.

Toni~you get a burst of energy at 3:00? Wow, I'm jealous. My burst of energy is in the morning and if I don't take advantage of it, oooooppppppsssss, it's too late.

Stacey~wow, 6 miles is great!
