Happy almost Friday

Lisa - hope you are feeling more energetic today! PMS really did me in this month - I was tired that all I could do was nap on the couch (unlike me!). Just part of the crud we, women, get to endure I'm already feeling more energetic - easier and easier to wake up in the mornings. I LOVE the morning time, so this is GREAT for me!!!

Stat time:
Weight: 180.4
Exercise: 50 crunches, 35 triceps ext., Walking

B - 2 c. coffee w/half/half/splenda
- 2 ham, swiss, mayo, lettuce roll ups
- s/f straw/ban. jello fluff (Lovin' it!)

L - Leftover stuffed pepper
- salad w/ranch

D- Chicken stir fry over fried cabbage

Finally got the sports schedules and looks like M, W, Th, & Saturdays from here on out. We have a nice walking trail down at the park, so when Jacob practices baseball down there, I think I'll do a lap (it's about 1 1/2 miles round trip) - that will be my walking exercise tonight (if it's not RAINING).

Sue - any results?

Hitting the shower - check in later Enjoy your day ladies!!

Good morning My day has already started out badly. Emmalee decided to play/splash in the toilet(threw my foundation in there too) EWWWW I just got her bathed and me showered. I need to get one of those locks cuz she seems to have a thing for the toilet. I know she loves the bath, pool, water in general, but CMON!!!!!! Ok it can only get better from here I havent eaten yet or thought about my menu. Grocery store is tonight I will do another hour of Callanetics when I get off of here and I have some work to do too.

Toni~ Glad you can get some walking in while Jake practices

Sue~ Hoping you get results SOON. My pain returned this AM-not terrible but its there. I am anxious to hear what they tell you-maybe we have the same thing DH thinks it is related to this WOE I dont know about you, but I would be happy to just have the gall bladder removed and be done with it already!!!!

Lisa~sorry you're having pain again. I don't know when I'll find out the results of the test. They test in another city, have to send the results to the docs office, he's on vacation, etc....Someday.

Toni~I used to do the same thing when my boys had baseball practice. All the baseball fields around here are connected to a park that has a walking path. But, with their different schedules and trying to get dinner for everyone at different times, I just don't have the time to walk anymore.

Had a great first day on Induction yesterday and my stomach felt much better.

Hey Sue!! Glad to hear from you and also glad that day one on induction went well! It only gets better from here! How many children do you have? Are they all in sports too? I couldn't imagine doing the things we do with more than one child LOL We would REALLY be crazy then!

I have three kids, DD(18), DS(15) and DS(12). DD has a car so I don't have to drive her around, but the boys are busy with baseball right now. Oldest DS is on the High School JV baseball team and also plays in the Babe Ruth league. Youngest DS is on the same Babe Ruth team as older, so that helps some, but the schedule for the high school team is so variable that I seem to be driving all afternoon.

Oh I can imagine you are constantly driving! I'm always looking for things to do while the practices are going on. I hate to just sit at "watch" LOL Though, I know what is what I'm SUPPOSED to be doing - and I do watch when there are games. But practice? I've been planning dinner menus and grocery lists the past few nights LOL This is Jacob's 2nd year on the traveling soccer team and I don't care for that too much. Especially since we are right on the cusp of the time zone change - so all of the game times are in eastern time and we are on central time. (i know, it's constantly a huge debate) So, leaving here on a saturday at quarter to 8 doesn't thrill me much. lol

Thanks for the Sue! Glad Day 1 went well and you are feeling pretty good

Wow you guys are crazy busy with the sports stuff!! I was always secretly happy that my kids (boys too) take after me and are not too coordinated or interested in sports( I know that sounds terrible). Each of my sons played soccer and baseball for one season but with the injuries, endless practices, games every weekend etc. they decided it wasnt for them. Thank goodness Mark was ok with it too. He was the star of his high school basketball team and Im sure he secretly wishes they were like him, but he has always been supportive of their other interests and never forced them

And speaking of uncoordinated, that Callanetics workout is getting harder not easier. I think its because Im improving my form and it works deeper into the muscles. I just finished hour 7 and Im already sore

I had eggs for breakfast and lunch will probably be tuna salad. BBL to check in...

Well, as much as I complain about all the functions and running around - I'm glad Jacob is interested. My hope is that he will continue the sports to keep him out of trouble when he is older. He's a good kid - but you never know what could happen. This is his 5th season playing soccer and baseball - I don't think I have 5 years of anything consistent in my life LOL

Just got back from a walk. Had to go up to the school to pick up Basketball pictures. Not a very long walk, but I'm tired now LOL REALLY need to get back into exercise. Appetite is lessening day by day. Today, I wasn't even that hungry when I got home from work and the 1st day I was STARVING by 10 am! YEAH!!!

Your family has gone through so much. I hope he's alright.

Lisa~There are some times when I wish my kids weren't interested in sports, but it does keep them active and fit. They each do two sports a year; I couldn't handle the year round sports that some families do, although we go from Fall to Summer with the sports they are in.

Good Morning Ladies! Bright and early on this dreary, rainy day here! I love being up in the morning where the house is nice and quiet. DH off to work and DS will be asleep for another hour or so - ahhhh, peace and quiet. I cherish these moments hee hee Not a whole lot planned for the day - Fridays usually consist of "catching up" on house duties. I know..soOOO much fun!

Stats:
Weight: 180.0 - slowly, slowly - was hoping to break 180 today - 3.6 lbs. in 5 days - I'll take it!
Exercise: 50 crunches, triceps ext., ???

B - 2 c. coffee w/half half/splenda
- 2 ham, swiss, lettuce, mayo rolls (I'm down to the end of the ham..yikes!)
- s/f straw/ban. jello fluff

L - scrambled eggs w/ melted cheese

D - nervous about dinner; DH's lodge is having a "Down Home with the Masons" dinner and I don't know what's going to be available - hoping someone will at least bring ham & beans LOL

Something else I've also noticed this week - I've given up my crocs and all other shoes except for my Nike walking shoes - and I haven't had that heel pain in the night. Going to just keep wearing them each day and see what happens.

Enjoy your day ladies!

Good morning ladies.

Day two of induction down, but I had a little too many veggies. My carbs were fine, though, so I'm not worrying about it.

Had a terrible night; hardly slept. I felt like I was getting better. Maybe eating dinner around 7:30 is just too late.

Yesterday's menu:

B~coffee/cream 2
2 eggs, 2 bacons, scrambled together 1.2

S~string cheese 1

L~sesame ham and cabbage 7

S~coffee/cream 1

D~2 chicken thighs (I marinated it in garlic and oregano sauteed in olive oil) 0
1.5 C spinach salad with 1 T blue cheese dressing 5
1/4 C cauliflower cass 2

Total~19.2

Toni~I have bought Rockport shoes, which are really good for problem feet. I only have two pairs, need to get more when I visit my mom because she has a Rockport nearby, so I wear the same two shoes all the time. But, I don't want my foot to get real bad again.
for your uncle.

Lisa~have fun cooking today. Wish I could stay home and cook but I have a day full of things to do, including work. I just wanna stay home and sleep.

Toni~ I know its hard going out to eat and not knowing what you will eat. It's one thing to go to a restaurant chain where you can look up the menu and decide ahead of time what the better choice is. Mark & I are going to dinner theater next week and I have no idea what is being served. I know I will be skipping dessert for sure! Glad the change in footwear is helping your heel pain

Sue~ Are you still feeling better with the lower carbs? My pain has been coming and going the last day or so. Nothing intense but bothersome. Still hoping you get answers soon

Well this is Day 12 for me-I cant believe it went by so quickly! Now Im trying to decide what to do next. Im thinking about alternating weeks with higher and lower cals/carbs to keep my body guessing. I REALLY want to add nuts back in. Not making any decisions yet, just thinking of possibilities.

I am doing cardio & weights today. My lower back is hurting, and I hope it's not from the Callanetics cuz Im enjoying the exercises so much! I am still maintaining the 143 and with TOM due any day, Im not expecting any more loss until next week

ETA Sue we were posting at the same time-So sorry you had a rough night Hope today is much better!

I'm thinking ketosis or eating very low carb is what's doing me in. I just had THREE pieces of wheat toast with natural PB and SF apricot spread. Feel a little better. I just don't know what to eat now.

I think you may be right! My pain returned after going back to induction and VERY low carbs compared to where I was. Maybe moderation is the answer, not induction and not refined high carb-just somewhere in the middle? Who needs docs-we'll just fix ourselves And honestly that breakfast sounds like a little piece of heaven right now!! Feel better my friend

I was doing better eating more carbs, but I was gaining. It seems I can't win. Well, at least my toast was good.

How many carbs were you eating? Do you have to stay under 20 to lose? Ugh! I can feel your frustration. Wish I had an answer but I dont so I will just give

Thanks, Lisa. I lose best when I eat under 20 TOTAL carbs. Otherwise, it's about a pound a month. Right now I would take that.

Take it for what it is: my friend who awaiting GB surgery on the 28th has been told to keep her meals to 5 g. fat or less. Don't know if that would help you or not? You might just have to eat some whole grain carbs until you get this straightened out. Deal with the weight when it's over.

Thanks, Toni. My doc told me to eat fat free. I haven't been able to do that; felt terrible when I was. I guess I need to lower the fat, though. This can't keep going on.

L- Southwestern chicken salad over romaine hearts and sf pickles
S- sf jello w/ whipped cream
D- ?
water 64 oz decaf iced tea in between

sorry about TOM - but better than the alternative! LOL

Anyone ever just get on the phone and start eating unconsciously? DH just called on his way home and I just started eating away! OK stuff: a squirt of whipped cream, some cashews, a slice of cheese and ended up with PB on a piece of celery. I don't know what comes over me. I shouldn't talk on the phone in the kitchen. Ok, for one, I'm REALLY hungry. We're eating at 5 and I just can't wait. Could've been worse I guess :/

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Ok - dinner consisted of: green beans w/ham, white bean soup, salad w/italian dressing, 2 deviled eggs, diet pepsi and a cup of coffee. Not too shabby? The bean soup was probably more carbs than needed, but at least they were bean carbs. hee hee

Decided to just walk home - 5 or 6 blocks

'night all!

White bean soup sounds yummy, Toni. I don't snack when I'm on the phone, but I like to snack when I'm reading. It has taken years of hard work to break that habit.
