ATKINS' ANGELS~WE ARE NOT APRIL FOOLS!`

Good morning everyone,

Claire, you were posting at the same time that I was so I will add your first post of the new thread here for you.

I don't want to mess it up.. Good morning all.. I am at my highest in a long time.. Can't understand why. But I will start from here and get with it.. I don't want to get any larger.. I had my eggs with polish sausage this morning. I will cook some eggs for lunch.. I need a haircut.. I don't think I will get it before I go out tomorrow. So far one reg. will not be with us. She is packing to move to Chimney Hill from Manville.. Big move for her..
I hope all will be spared from April Fool pranks today.. Lynn be careful.. It is in the 50's today in RI.. WOW.. But very grey. Evon, hope you feel better.. I know how those pains feel.. I have them daily.. Not as bad as before though.
Jan, that was my GD train that was in the wreck. But she had to stay to finish some work so she was not on it.. My son had to drive to Boston to pick her up that night though.. No more train service.. Hey I am going to call my DD to see if Emile can pick her up so she can cut my hair.. Have a great day all.. Love, Claire

Claire, I didn't realize that it was your GD's train that was in that awful accident. Thank God she wasn't on it. So many of those people were injured. Thankfully nobody died in the wreck.
Sorry you are up again. I have one suggestion you can try. If you do meat and eggs, try to stay away from bacon and sausage. They are both very high in calorie and salt. So you may be retaining water this morning. Just have the eggs, and cook some chicken with very little salt and eat that instead.
I think you retain water very easily and that's why your weight fluctuates so much.
Good luck though and I hope you can get down below 240 again.

I have to get downstairs but I wanted to make sure we have a new thread.
We went 5 pages on the last one. See you all later.

Evon, I hope you feel better today and your hip and feet don't hurt you as much today.

Have a great day today!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Jan. I do feel better today. And got another good nights sleep. I got up around 8am. And got my clothes on and went shopping and bought breakfast. That is it. I found some shoes but if I had bought them, I would have had to use my credit card because I only had $15 in cash. But they had plenty and I will go back and get them. They had a great get rid of winter clothes for $3.99 each, but found nothing I wanted to gamble on. If they go down to $1.20 I might think about it. But dont know what size I will be next winter. If I buy it to fit now, will it be too big, or too little. I was just watching the view and Barbara walters was talking about she still thinks of herself as a brunette, even though she has not had brown hair in many many years. I can look in the mirror and I still look as fat as I did a year ago, before I started on my weight loss program seriously. I am surprised every time I try on a size xl or l and can get in it. When I go shopping, I still look at the larger sizes 1st. Will I ever overcome this inborn nature? I dont know. I do know, my left foot is still not hurting. My knee hurts a little bit, but so far, my hip is doing good. Got on the ball for about 20 minutes last night while I watched dancing with the stars. Stopped to visit Rose on the way out this morning. What you got planned for the day. Are the kids better? Was it back to school today? How is the baby?

Claire, maybe you need to hide your scales. I did not weigh this morning. I have to weigh when I get to work. But I have tried to gain a little so I can lose faster. Wish us both luck. You got an exercise ball? You got weights. Get you some small weights and start there. Remember, some people get out of the nursing home by using weights. I got to get busy, cause that is one place I dont want to end up. We have rain again today. Off and on. Then another good chance and cold again on Thursday.

Well, got to run, talk to you tonight.

Speak for yourself Jan. I think everybody is still posting on the other site, even Pam. She'ssssssssssssssssss back. But only a shortie for some web site. But good to know she is still alive and kicking. Hope she has been kicking some butts. My feet are so much better. And imagine, it was a shoe that hurt it and another shoe helped it. Got to work today, and Michelle told me somebody was going to have to be a captain of our team. Then Jeff told me Bea was not coming in and I was in charge again. Already got to be in charge on Thursday so she can be off so I can be off on Friday to go to the hockey game. Then Bev tells me Mark will be coming to NC on the 9th and see if I can get off. I asked Pam to trade with me and she said she would if I would work Saturday for her. Well, I know Jeff would have a hissy if he had to pay me 5 hours of overtime, so I thought she would not do it. But after I told Bev I could not go because Pam would not switch she got into it and now I guess I am going to go in and work from 8 til 5 and go to Greensboro after work with Bev. Then when I got to my office, Frances told me to be the captain. I told her we needed a day worker for captain so she had to do it. She said she did not know how to do it and I came right out and told her she was lazy. She did not want to do it, but guess what? She is now the captain of this ship. Dont tell me I dont know how to delegate. Today we sold over 80,000$ and 10,000 was my sales . Not bad huh? Good night, see you in the morning.

Good morning Angels,

Yea.. Welcome back Pam.. Yahoo.. My heart is a flutter.. Pam is back.. yipee..!!!!
Well the phone was busy last night.. Sofar we have 5 who cannot make it.. I hope they are not losing interest in our luncheons so early in the game.. I thought we would make it until the anniversary at least.. Well we will see who shows today..
I just got a brand new pair of reeboks my sister brought in to the wardrobe last Sat. They fit me fine.. The price was right. I never had a pair of Reeboks before.. Good for me.. My last good pair of shoes came from my DD . She buys them from Land's End. They last forever.. They are like slippers..
Rebecca, I like the Paul McKenna site. Very informative. I am down a pound this morning. But I am going out for luch today.. Only a ligjht lunch for me.. If I get with the program and move a little more maybe things will firm up and I can get to feeling better.. That is all I want is to feel better. I don't care if I don't look slim.. Just get down to a rational weight.
Evon, my seeds are sprouting . I hope I can find some 4 o'clock seeds. I planted some last year and nothing came up.. The year before I had great results. My friend in Cal. has 30 rose bushes.. She was getting ready to feed them.. Maybe I should feed mine.. All I get is black spots . I have one beautiful cascading bush with red stripe roses on it.. That is my beauty.. I will have to go hunting for a heather plant. Everytime I plant a pair to decorate each side of something , one dies.. That has been ste story of my life.
Jan, looks like a beautiful day today. I will not do much this morning. Save myself for my outing today. Wow were you surprised with last night's Biggest Loser show..?? I thought they should have gotten rid of Mark . He is the biggest threat. But they do not think that way..
Lynn, how has your week been? Hope it has been good... Pam is back.. Yes.. Talk to you later.. Love you all.. Claire

Thank You, Pam!

Hi Everyone,

Pam, I never noticed your post yesterday. Thank you for putting in that link to the new thread. You have to tell me how to do that. It would make life so much easier.
Glad to have to back. I know I speak for all of us when I say how much we've missed you.

Claire, I hope your luncheons with the girls doesn't fizzle out. I know how much you enjoy see them.
Good for you down a pound this morning. Just eat small portions today. Bring half of your lunch home and eat it for dinner tonight. That's a good way to cut calories.
Have a good time. It's going to be nice today.

Evon, You are very good at your job. I am impressed with your sales. You are a good sales person. So is Shannon, she was always at the top of the sales promotions and got big bonuses.
She didn't hear anything about that promotion yet. They are really keeping these last 4 people hanging.
Glad your feel are feeling better.

Lynn, have a great day today. Glad you are losing weight. Keep up the good work. When are you leving for Texas?

Rebecca, what is new and exciting with you? How is Alyssa feeling this week? Is she complety back to normal now?
Did Brad get his paycheck for last week back yet? I know that must be an annoying thing. Most people live paycheck to paycheck so they must be missing theirs.

I'll be back later. I just heard Jenny come in so I have to get downstairs.
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning angels. Today starts the new leg of my weight loss journey. Back to low carb for me. I just fixed a steak for breakfast. Then I had to go to the store because I was out of eggs and creamer for my coffee. Got 1.5 dozen eggs and a pint of creamer for $5. Where are the good ole days? Speaking of remembering. Has anybody seen that movie Awake? I have not, but the other day I got to remembering something I had forgotten for years. Before Amy was on the way, which is 32 years or more, I had to have an operation to take a cyst out of my cheek. And I woke up during the operation. Guess that is why I am so afraid of doctors. It was terrible, and I guess I just passed out from the pain. I had forgotten all about that. But I can even remember what they were saying. I dont plan to see the movie. I got a call from Donnie this morning. I had not talked to him for years. Goood to hear from him. He started out by saying, "Good morning, Sunshine." I did not know the voice at 1st but Jeff calles me sunshine too and that is my password he gave me for the computer.

Claire, I have some tomatoes seeds planted, but no green yet. I think I remember they take a while to come up. They are cherry tomatoes. And they usally come up after the regular ones, so dont know if they will come up or not, but trying. Most of the time, If you leave some in the space they grow, they will come back by themselves. So hopefullly, but I wanted to start some in another place. I plant all these seeds in a big container, and then when I get ready to plant them, I dig a hole, (but I will dig that early so it wont be hard to dig it when it gets hot and dry). and then just pour the whole thing out and let them have at it. It works. I am also going to do a small one and plant it in a bigger pot and hang it and try that this year. If they can grow them in a bag, they should grow in a pot if I keep them watered. Have you tried any of the bag ones? Hope you have a good lunch. You know you can start exercising before you lose the weight. I got up and did 20 minutes on my machine, and then did 10 minutes of weight lifting. So gave me 2 miles for today so far. Plan to go to work and walk so that will give me 2.5 miles.

Jan, did that rebbock coupon work for you. I was lead to a parking area for fat daddy. So did not get to save anything. I need to go check out the shoe store. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe Shannon will hear something this week. Remember no news is good news. How are the kids? I can hold my own in selling, but besides that there are no telling how many people I sent catalogs to and took off of the mailing list. It was a busy day. I got my catalog yesterday.

Becky, if you want to get one of our catalogs, call me tonight after 9:00 and you can ask for me. The number is 800 345 0169. We have some good stuff, but we also have a lot of stuff I dont really know about. Are you enjoying your mornings with alyssa. Is she over her sick spell?

Lynn, you go girl. Does that mean you seen 175 yet? Hope you have a great day.

Welcome back Pam. Hope to hear from you more today. How is life treating you?

Hello again,

Evon, I didn't get to the Reebok but I did go to Marshall's and I got a good pair of Puma walking shoes for $20 and I got a great pair of sandals for the summer for $34. I also got 2 really nice pairs of jeans (still in a size12) and a blouse and a new down pillow for me. I've been waking up with a sore neck and I think my pillow has just about had it. I hope I like the new one.
I bought 3 prizes for the shower and a box of chocolate covered biscotti. I was starving so I ate one on the way home. Very yummy and only 2 points.
I would imagine that Shannon will hear something by the end of the week.
Keeping my fingers crossed for her.
My son Brock hates his new job. He's been in training for a couple of month but now he is in his own cube and he hates it. He can't stand being spoken to like he was a loser and the customers today just have no respect for the people who answer the phones trying to help them.
I hope he gets promoted out of that department soon.

Well I'll be back later.

I too am looking forward to getting to know Pam. I'm glad you are back Pam. The girls here have been worried about you and speak highly of you, so I'm looking forward to getting to know the Pam that they love so much.

I went to Kohl's tonight after work and bought 2 pair of Levi stretch boot cut jeans. The last jeans I bought and that I've worn for years were 16's. These were 14's. I'm so excited. I know they're a different style and stretch, but the 16's were a bit loose and I was afraid if I bought those I would eventually gain back the 10 that I lost. The 14's are a bit too snug but I don't wear my shirts tucked in so they'll be fine til I lose a little more. It's been way over 10 years since I've worn 14's. I texted John and Kim but Kim has class tonight and John was at work and rarely looks at his text messages til he's on his way home from work.

I almost cried this morning. Alyssa and I were sitting on the floor watching Elmo's World and I kissed the top of her head and hugged her and said, "I love you." She turned to me and buried her face in my boobs (lol) and said, "I oooo". That's the closest she's come to returning the I love you. Now, Kim's got her nose out of joint. haha. I told her that she'll do it for her too. I felt so special. Especially since she has to spend so much time with me, sometimes I wonder if she'll regret it someday having to stay with me, but then that's what made Kim and my Mom and Dad. Kim would do anything within her power for my Mom and I hope that Alyssa and I are close like that someday.

Gotta run and get dinner out of the oven. Baked chicken and salad.

Good evening angels. I have had a busy busy day and a great surprise. We only got 30 minutes for lunch today. Praise the Lord, I had come home and after I fixed breakfast, I boiled 6 of them eggs. And I came home and cut up 3 and threw some mayo and mustard in them and made egg salad to carry back to work. And then tonight, I got a call from an Angel. Becky, thank you for calling. It made my day. So good to talk to someone who was not mad at me. And Praise the Lord, my feet have felt better today than in months. And I had my sneakers on. And wore a skirt today. It gets so hot that I dressed for it and then got there and they had the doors wide open. So we swatted flies tonight.

Becky I am so proud of you. Two of my friends did good today. Deatha, the girl that answered the phone, went to the doctor and she had lost 7 lbs. She showed me some exercises. She and I were by outselves when you called. Size 14, I just look forward to that day. When I lost last time, I bought a dress to wear to my class reunion. It was a size 16. I looked good in that dress. But did not go to the reunion. I kept the dress for years though. Finally got rid of it. It ended up being big on me when I got down to 139. I remember wearing my daughters mini skirt to work one day and it was an 11. that is the smallest I remember though. I am big boned so cant get but so small.

Jan, I did not even get a coupon, so think it was a hoax. Glad you got some new shoes. I hope we won the powerball. Bea called me this morning and Jeff was really on his high horse this morning. He made her call the doctor and get a note faxed to him. Then he found out she was not coming tomorrow and said she would need another note from the doctor. But he was okay when I went in, until I went in with a problem at 2:30. That is his break time. But I did not get a break and it was his fault I was in there anyhow. So let him suffer. I was in charge again and will be tomorrow night too. Then I am off on Friday and Saturaday and Sunday. Maybe I will get my taxes done. Going to the hockey game on Friday. Got to fix some food to carry with me. Have to get me a purse to put it in. You ever been to a hockey game. Is it cold in there? Got to check the weather.

I think I will go to bed. Talk tomorrow.

Good Morning my friends
I am ready for another day full of meetings and junk-can't wait to get on that plane next week-I am going to have to take paper work with me to do on the plane but once I get to Texas I plan to forget all that junk and totally enjoy my time with Dawn, Amber and Tony!!!! I can't wait for this testing to be over with-it is the most dreaded part of my job One of the main reasons I no longer love teaching-as a matter of fact it probably is the only reason!!

Jan-so sorry that Brock is struggling with his new job-is there a chance that he will be promoted to somethting different or will he be stuck there for a long time? In these economic times it is so hard for the young folks to leave a place wherre they are unhappy and search for something better. Got my fingers crossed for Shannon-whatever happens it will be for the best someone more knowledable than us has a plan for each of us

Rebecca-your story about Alyssa touched my heart-there is no more wonderful thing than giving our grandchildren love and comfort and allowing them to know their grandparents. My mother and father helped me which Dawn while I went to school and she adored them and does to this day=I think it is beautiful and am greatful for them and wish I could have that same relationship with Amber and hope to some day

Evon-wishing you the best of luck with your new weight loss plan-in my rush the past few days I must have missed what type of plan you are going to try? Sorry it has just been so super busy here what type of thing are you giving a whirl? You have been so successful this past year and I know that you will continue to drop pounds and get below that 200 pound for sure soon!

Claire-so sorry the girls are bailing out on you-sure do hope that it is that they are going away on vacation and unable to make it right now for that reason. i LOVE my Reebocks-those are the ones that I use when I workout and they are totally comfortable. Start that movign slowly and before you know it you will feel better and more able to get out and enjoy walking with Emile. I was 282 when I first started walking and could do no more than a few minutes but eventually all somewhat firms and is better. At least it firms as much as this aging body ever will

Hugs to the four of you

Good morning Angels,

Hope you are all well. ?? We had a grand time yesterday at the Olive Garden. They were so good to us.. We had a room to ourselves.. Most of us had the soup, salad and bread stick special. We were 12 of us then another showed up.. We stayed talking until 4.. Next luncheon will be June 4th at a place in Pawt. They have a buffet. Volcano Grille.. This will be the day before our 51st anniversary of our graduation. While waiting to be seated I get a tap on my shoulder.. My DDIL was there with her sister. This is Jeannette. The one who has just finished her treatments. I had just finished telling my friend who drove me about her. One of my other friends was so happy to see her also. She and her husband were godparents for my Jim, Jeannette's husband. They had only met once.. But my friend has been sending her get well cards since the beginning of her ordeal. It was a by chance meeting for sure. My DDIL will be going for tattoos to prepare her for her Radiology treatments. She is so brave .
Jan, I had the Zuppa Toscana.. I liked it also. I did well. Did have 3 breadsticks though. I am a dunker.. Got carried away.. So good though. But stayed the same this morning. Will be on the move today for sure.. Did my arm lifts with weights this morning so far.
Evon, sounds like you have the low carbs by the tail again.. Good luck, I'm sure you will have great success..
Rebecca, I remember those days when Mandy would look up to me with those big eyes and say "I luvs you meme".. I would just fall apart. They grow so fast though. Right now my SIL is on short time so we are not seeing them after school as much right now.. Miss them for sure..
Hey there Pam.. I could not get to the Falcon cam.. They said I had an error.. Whatever.. Have a great day all.. Love to all.. Claire

Lynn, is it next week you are gone, or the end of the next week? Whenever, I hope you are able to get thru this week. I know how you feel. I hate these busy days. For 1 thing, I only get 30 minute lunch and no time to download. So I have to learn to cook ahead and I would carry it with me, but yesterday was Wed and so far, that is the only day we have had the 30 min lunches. And it was less busy than Tuesday afternoon. It hit kind of like a tornado. Everything was kind of dead, and then it hit the wall and stayed there til time to go home. But a lot of my guys told me they still have snow on the grown. I think it was Mn that got hit hard yesterday with another storm. I am back to low carb. We have a challenge at work, and again, that is the only plan I lose on. Got to get ready and go somewhere to walk.

Claire, glad you enjoyed your lunch. Maybe you can get a few days down where you dont get bread sticks stuck in your face so you can get back to low carbing. Did the taps help any? hAVE NOt tried them yet. Glad your Dil is doing so well. It is so hard on a family when someone is sick. And it shows up in so many different ways.

Jan, you going to weigh in today? How is Mom doing? I just had bacon and eggs for breakfast. Got to take my bp med and get dressed and go to the store. In a rush again. Tomorrow I will have most of the day to myself and then go to the hockey game. Hope you have a good day.

Becky, have a great one, and enjoy that precious little girl. I used to keep my kids and it was great. When it was warm, we would get up and get dressed and go into the back yard, and Dylan did his thing and Madison and I would act out stories and stuff. She told me one day that my being with them was the best part of her days. Then she went to school so I dont get a lot of time with her anymore. Maybe I will see if she can come stay with me some this weekend. If I get my taxes done.

Good morning everyone,

I had a message on my answering machine yesterday from my cardiologist. I have an appointment today at 3:15 that I completely forgot about. It's just a BP check and of course he'll listen to my heart forever. That really freaks me out. He listens to to for the longest time with this really serious look on his face and it make me wonder.........what the heck is he hearing in there?
Then he spends the same time listening to my lungs. I guess the left branch bundle block can affect your lungs so he is very intense when he listens to my lungs too.
I'm not anticipating any problems though so I shouldn't be nervous......but of course I am! I just hate going to the doctor.

Evon, how does it feel to be back on low carb? Are you craving your bread and carbs? If low carb works better for you stick with what works. You can always take a little break like you did these past couple of weeks eat your carbs and get back to low carbing.
I only go to WW once a month to weigh in now. So I won't be going till the end of the month.
I've been very careful with my points this past week and I am keeping my weight just ab round my goal weight.
My mom is still coughing. I hope that goes away soon or I'll have to see if I can get her on an antibiotic.
You must have been very happy to speak with Becky last night. I'll have to call you one of these nights to say "Hi".
I got my coupon for the Reebok sale. Maybe I can send you the link to the actual coupon page. I will try that. Look for an email from me.

Becky, Woohoo!!! Into a size 14. That must have made you day for sure. Keep up the good work. You are doing great. And hopefully soon you'll be able to go to WW to get weighed in without paying.
It is really great to hear the babies say they love you for the first time or cry when you have to leave. It is very emotional.
My Gracie, will always say," Grandma, I love you so much." So I of course tell her that I love her so much too and she'll say, "But I really, really love you" like her love for me is even stronger than I can imagine. That's when the hugs and kisses start and I get a lump in my throat.

Claire, I'm so happy that your DDIL is doing great with her cancer treatment. My mom had a couple of little tiny dot tattoos on her hip and butt when she had to go for her radiation treatments. They are still there of course. It's a good reminder to me of how lucky she was to beat that cancer. I hope your daughter in law continues to do well. The radiation treatments aren't bad at all. If she made it through Chemo this should be easy by comparison.
I'm glad you had a nice day with your friends too. I love that place so much. That's why I stay away form there.
I can't believe a whole year has gone by since your 50th reunion.
Have a nice day today. It looks pretty nice out. I hope it warms up a little today.

Lynn, I know how excited you must be about spending time with Amber, Dawn and Tony. I'm sure they are just as excited about your visit.
How is Dawn's eye........any progress there? I hope it goes back to normal.
Brock will get used to his new job. He had such a great job before and was making so much more money that I guess he is feeling depressed at the moment. But he is a smart boy and I'm sure he will be promoted quickly. Fidelity is a great place to work but you have to start at the bottom and work your way up.
Scott has been with them now for about 8 or 9 years and he is making a ton of money. So Brock will just have to work hard and get those promotions.
He certainly can't leave this job with Janine pregnant and almost ready for her maternity leave.
I'm getting excited about the baby shower. I have to get the rest of the favors made and get more prizes bought. I wish people would not wait so long to respond to an RSVP. I still haven't heard from half of the people. I do think they are coming but I would like a positive count soon for the restaurant.

Pam, I hope you are having a great day and get a chance to come in and say hi when you get home tonight. I have been keeping a close eye on the Falcon Cam. I haven's seen much of Kinney though. How is Timmy feeling? I hope he's okay.

Have a great day everyone.

Hey, I got to meet a new Angel yesterday. Haha. It was soooo good to hear what you sound like Evon, and YOU say I have an ACCENT. LOL. She said, "I can tell you're from Ohio." I asked why and Evon said, "because you have an accent." I really liked talking to you and I'll call you again after 9 (that's when I get free long distance and it doesn't come off my minutes). So good to have a voice to put with the face. NOW I have about 5 more Angels to hook up with and talk to.

Man, I don't want to go to work tomorrow. One of the little girls that her parents think she should have a bubble around her got bit again today. This is the 2nd time, hey some of them gets bit NUMEROUS times, it's a DAYCARE with 9 kids. We can have up to 10 in our room. Maybe we'll have 8 next week if she pulls her out. She says she's going to report it to a higher authority, I think she's going to call state. That's fine, they'll come out within 72 hours, check the incident reports and say everything was done correctly. I washed the bite (on the arm) with antibacterial soap and iced it, gave TLC, don't know what else we could have done. Poor Kristi, the mother ripped her a new one and then hung up on her, and I thought that Kristi was being very nice, kept her cool about herself. The mother wants the biting child removed from the center. They'll tell her to remove her child before they'll tell the 4 that are biting to find other daycares. I think she would be better with a private person, but we wouldn't be that lucky. I'm work mornings on Fridays so I'm the one that will have to deal with the mom. What was that you called someone like that, Evon, witching grannies with a b? That's a witching Mom with a b. I really like most of the parents, even the little girl that was bit, I like the dad, but he's pretty much hen pecked. They're not married yet, planning the wedding though, but I think he could do better, and he could find someone who treats him much better. I really like the dad, just not the mom. Grrrr. I will be soooo happy when 12:30 comes and my Kim BETTER be on time tomorrow too. LOL.

My daughter (Kim) was soooo surprised to see her mother in stylish jeans today. She said, "WHAT Mom, you have flares on?" I said, "bootcut" and she said, "I love it, you look so pretty in them." I had to go to Nursery 1 and show 2 girls over there, the one is who gives me peptalks on Friday mornings before her preschool starts, the other one is trying to lose weight too. She has a little boy that's 3 and is trying to get the baby weight off. I don't think she has too much to lose but she says she does, so she must hide it pretty well. I mean, she could lose some but I think she's pretty hard on herself. She doesn't have the 55-60 that I have to lose.

Will check in tomorrow when I get home, if I'm still alive.

Becky, I dont know who has the hardest job. You deal with parents who act like kids and I deal with customers who act like kids. I had one tonight. He was really seething. He calls up and says he needs to talk to that man he talked to about 10 minutes ago. I said we only had 1 man 10 minutes ago and he has gone home now. And he blew up. He said the guy told him he would straighten out his problem but had to call the warehouse and would call him back in about 5 minutes. But did not call. He said he lied to me. Said he talked a good talk saying he was going to do this and that, knowing the whole time he was going home. So I tried my best to settle his ruffled feathers. Then he started telling me about telling the guy he wanted to talk to somebody else I work with, the same one who answered the phone when you called last night. the guy told him that she was already off but he could call her back in the morning. I remember hearing her talking about this guy last night and told him she was indeed still there, so he wanted to talk to her. I put him on hold and went and checked and she was on a call. So I came back and told him he would have to wait a few minutes because she was with another client at the moment. So we just started to chit chat, and he calmed down more, and he was not a bad fellow. I said well, looks like you have just had a bad week, but it will get better. And he told me he was the kind of guy that could go out and buy a new car and drive out of the parking lot and all 4 tires would go flat. I said, I know it cant be that bad. You are just pulling my leg now and then he started flirting. Well finally Deatha got finished and I transferred him to her. And took me the next two hours to document everything and leave it on jeffs desk. He really wanted Jasons head on a platter. And Jason might have cut his throat, because he had not left one note. But then when I told Bea, she said he had told her about the call. So who knows. I am off the next 3 days, so will try not to worry about it. Sometimes, I think I am the only one who does what they are supposed to do. I had already told Michele that they causing problems, and she sent out a memo.

Jan, did you get a good report from the cardiologist. Probably wants you to go thru those tests again. Hope you are still going to the gymn and doing your exercise. I am trying because I dont want to end up being an old lady. Did you see that special with Barbara Walters last night about living to be 150 years old? Just inspired. but I dont think we will because Honestly, I am looking for the Lord to come back any day. The way this world is going down hill every day, it cant be long. I had a preacher call me last night. He was kind of talking down to me and I asked him if he was a teacher. He said he was a preacher and teacher. Then we got involved in this conversation, and ended up having a good talk. He said he enjoyed talking to me. He thought I had an accent too. I dont think I do but I can put on the dog, when I find out they like it. But here lately, I have been too busy to enjoy my job. I went back in there and weighed tonight and had lost 4 pounds. And yes, I feel so much better. I wore my new black jeans and had my shirt tucked in because it was cold, and Sue said I was looking good. I said you dont think this makes my stomach look bigger and she said naw. I think I look better when I feel better. Heather thought it was so funny when I told I got ready to go get weighed the other day and filled my pockets with pennies and keys so I would weigh more. Will have to remember to fill my pockets next monday so they wont be able to tell I am losing so good. But I also realize it might come to a very quick stop. I was 229 this morning. We will see if I can break the 225 mark. That would just thrill me. Have a good night. see you tomorrow.

well good morning Angels

It is about 1:30 and I just can not go to sleep-HATE this and know I will pay for it in the morning. I also know I am not going to have time to chat because it will be a late one for me so I figured I had better get in here tonight. I think it is because I have so many things on my mind that my brain just will not shut down. Testing is still due-meetings with parents and the trip to visit Dawn are at the top of my list. I do wish it was June and all this stuff was in the past. From reading your posts it sounds like we all have our crosses to bear at work and I don't envy anyone of us.

Claire-it sounds like you had a wonderful luncheon-how great that so many folks showed up and you got to see your DIL also-what a shame at such a young age she is going through that -will keep her in my prayers for sure

Jan-sure do hope that the report is good for you my friend-I am sure it will be-you have worked hard to drop the weight and exercise to strengthen your heart so I am sure you will get glowing reports back from him. Dawn's vision still has not improved but it has not gotten any worse so that is a blessing

Rebecca-I sure do not envy you those parents-I can not imagine having that many children in one area and not having anything happen to them-10:1 is a very difficult ratio=with all that you have to provide to those little ones. Hopefully that parent will not take out her wrath on you tomorrow!

Evon-dealing with irate adults is not an area of strength for me-I would NEVER be able to be as nice as you are to people and would be fired in a heartbeat for being rude and hanging up. You definitely have a way with people and know the right thing to say to calm them down.

Well gals I am going to try to get some sleep now-night my friends

Good morning Angels,

Another grey day in CF. We went strolling through Lowes yesterday. We are on the hunt for a filter for our central air .. They have all the sizes except our 15 X 20... Emile bought a new sawzall.. I bought some Primroses and a few pansies.. I did buy my heather plant to replace the one that died through the winter.. I don't want to plant it too soon. We are still having freezing nights..
Evon, you did well.. Down 4.. Wow.. My 1st goal is 5 but nothing is moving.. Egg and meat , I am just maintening. My arms are sore from the weight lifting.. That is with only 3 pound weights.. But yesterday I worked out with my 8 pound bar.. Maybe that is why the pain.. ?? I know I was bad with the bread sticks.. But I was weak... My friends told me how good they were. That is my problem everything is good..
Rebecca, I'm sure biting is just all in a days work with childcare.. We have all gone through this at one time or another.. That parent should know this.. She sounds like a beaut...
Lynn, are you out next week or the week after..? My kids are out the week after.. I am sure you are getting anxious..
Jan, hope all is well with you at the Dr.'s ..You have been taking care of yourself for sure.. Praying for all.. Pam, you too.. Love, Claire

Good morning Angels,

I went to the doctor yesterday and got a glowing report. He said my heart sounds perfect, very strong, very regular and he didn't hear any murmurs. He said that even though my ejection fraction isn't as high as it should be that doesn't mean that my heart isn't strong. He said he has patients with higher ejection fractions and their heart is very weak. My BP was very good yesterday so he said he'll see me in 6 months. My lungs sounded perfect too. I guess when you have a LBBB it can affect your lungs and cause congestive heart failure, but he doesn't see that at all with me. So thank God, I seem to be okay.
He thought I looked thinner than the last time he saw me and then he checked my weight and I was up 2 pounds. I told him I look thinner in some clothes than others and he laughed.

Lynn, I bet you'll sleep like a log tonight. I hope you visit with the baby does you a world of good. Just relax and enjoy your time with your family. I'm glad Dawn's eye isn't any worse but I'm still hoping that it will get better. Maybe it will take a little while longer.
Have a good day today.

Claire, this weather is awful today. It is pouring and I have so much running around to do, I'm bound to get soaked to the skin.
It's really cold too.
I bet Mandy still looks up at you with those big brown eyes. I'm sure your grandchildren love you very much. You always make sure they eat well and have a lot of fun at your house.
Claire, don't worry about or feel guilty about eating a few bread sticks. You deserve a treat once in a while and I'm sure your friends were eating them ravenously which wasn't helping your cause.
You did really well while you were out with Lynn and I so you get a pat on the back for that day. Nobody can be perfect all the time!
Tomorrow is Gracie's 5th birthday party and guess what........I'm eating cake and whatever else is on the menu!!! I'll be good on Sunday!

Rebecca, sorry about your problems at the day care. It must be difficult to watch so many little guys at once. Those little biters don't give any warning either. One minute they are playing and the next minute you hear someone scream. It's must be hard having 4 of them biting other children in one classroom.
Glad you look so good in your new jeans. Take this movitation and run with it. Use it as a stepping stone to losing the rest of the weight that you want to lose. Just keep telling yourself how good it felt to have people tell you how great you look.

Evon, good for you losing 4 pounds already. You really do best it seems on Atkins' so I would stick with it. I'm sure you'll be below 225 soon.
There must be a full moon or something because Shannon said the callers are getting more and more hostile every day.
She has all she can do not to just get up and walk out the door sometimes.
The doctor didn't schedule any new tests for me for my heart. He doesn't think they are necessary.
Oh by the way............Evon, you do have a very Southern accent! I love to listen to you speak!!!

Well I have a million things to do and not a million hours to get them done so I better get out of this computer chair and start my day.

See you all later, dudes! Bye!!!!!

Claire, I was not jumping on you about the bread sticks. I am happy you ate them. But it is not an everyday thing. But I think we need to add a few extra carbs to our diet every once in a while. I believe that being too low and not getting all our calories and carbs will slow our weight loss. You should know that. All the cheats that I pull. I can not believe I ate all I ate the last 2 weeks and have lost all of it but 1 pound. I was at 226 again this morning. But I paid for it. I had the cramps all night. But I am going to add a few extra carbs every weekend and be extra good during the week. I am going to add a few if I lose that week, that is.

Jan, I am so happy that you got a glowing report. I was a little worried when you did not get in last night after your appointment, but guess you were celebrating. I am off tonight and I have been lazy so far. Got 2 loads of clothes washed, one put away and one in the dryer calling me. I just went and turned them on for a few minutes til I finish. Hope you have a good day today. We got the rain yesterday and probably more tonight and then rain and storms tomorrow. Hope we get in and out of the game with no problems. I have never been to the rbc center before. Got to talk to Barbara. This is my 1st hockey game too. I am sure I will enjoy people watching if not hockey. Dont know what to expect. I do kno
