Hope Lynn's plane is flying out today.. They have been grounded for inspections for the past few days.. Rather be safe then sorry.. It sounds rather fishy to me.. All of a sudden all these inspections..
Well Emile found a huge field stone down the bank that just fits nice on the stump.. He leveled it the best he could.. Now I have to clean the bottom of the statue to silicone it to the rock.. It wiill be surrounded with hostas.. Should be fine.. I think I will go out and pick up some of the bushes to fill in along the back fence.. Make it a bit more carefree..I will buy a few trays of Dianthus this year. They will come back and look so good in gardens or containers.. A type of a carnation. I did plant my 4 o'clock seeds this week.. Now I jsut have to wait..
Evon, I need a new jacket for shopping.. Light but warm.. Like a lined sweatshirt jacket.. That is what I have now. But it is messy.. Pilly.. but clean. But I like you I don't want to get one that may not fit next year.. The price has to be so right.
Rebecca, hope things are better at your house.. I know your DD must be down in the dumps.. But it is no time to go out and get just anything.. Something better will come up.. We shopped for something when we sold our place that we had lived in for more then 20 years.. Everything needed so much work . It was like starting over.. So we found this one right under our nose.. It is still in CF but in the woods, sort of.. Quiet and so close to nature. We love it so much.. Now we only need a groundskeeper to spruce it up in the spring.. We are getting to old for all this work. But this too shall pass..
Jan, I hope you have a great weekend.. We will have the kids next week. They will be sleeping over during the week.. I have to find things for them to do.. Of course I will put them to work in the garden. They do a great job cleaning. ..under supervision of course. Like Emile they may pull up some of the perrenials..-I just got a call.. Emile is off after he drops them off this morning.. No need to meet their bus this afternoon. Dad will be there. Well I guess I will get the dishes done .. Wow, where is everyone today?
Ron and Scott went fishing this morning in all that rain and thunder storms.
They got wet but he said it was the first year they didn't freeze out there on the pond.
They had ponchos so they were only wet from the knees down.
They caught 6 trout and they are in my refrigerator. I'll cook them for him tomorrow. I was too tired to cook them tonight.
We had Janine's baby shower in CT this afternoon. We all had a nice time. The food was delicious and of course I ate way too much.
Janine got so many beautiful little baby girl clothes. She is going to be the best dressed baby in town for sure!
She got a lot of other nice things too.
Did you find any great deals at work today?
It turned out to be a pretty nice day. It was 10 degrees cooler in CT then it was in Woonsocket.

Well I am tired so I am going to bed. I hope we hear from Becky and Evon tomorrow.

Hi guys, I'm here. Was taking care of Alyssa this afternoon so the kids could go look for more houses. They are probably going to do a walk through on one tomorrow with John, don't know for sure. I also did my Mom's hair today, she was "whining" because Alyssa wasn't here and then about a half hour after she arrived Kim asked if they could bring her over because they'd been shopping at the mall and Alyssa needed a nap badly and they had to go to the grocery. So, I told Mom that Alyssa was coming over and her face lit all up. It's so cute to see them together.

I did pretty good on my diet today, I'm hungry right now so I'm going to see what I can find.

Now all we have to do is find Evon, right? Come on out and play with us Evon.

Hello Everyone,

Claire, it's impossible to know what the weather will be a half hour from now.
When we left Woonsocket, the outside temperature on Janine's car was 70 degrees and the sun was shining so nice. By the time we got to CT the outside temp had dropped to 60 degrees it was sprinkling and very gray. By 3:00 it was raining cats and dogs and it was thundering with big bolts of lightening. By the time the shower was over at around 4:30 the sun was out again. It was a very crazy day for sure.
I hope the sun does come out today. It felt so good to be nice and warm outside.

Rebecca, good luck to the kids in finding an affordable house. I know how impatient they must be but like John said it's a very important purchase and it shouldn't be something they rush into.
My mom used to love to see the great grand-kids too. She got so much enjoyment from them and luckily she had quite a few years to enjoy most of her 13 great grand kids. When they come over now she doesn't seem to recognize them.
I have to watch what I'm eating this week after all I ate yesterday.

Hey yall. I am back home again. Been to Georgia with Beverly. We went down and went shopping and stayed smart at the Holiday Inn Express in Savanah. Had a good time, but it is good to be home. I am so full. We drove and drank and ate all the way going and coming. So tomorrows weigh in should be interesting. Did not make it in on Friday morning because I was at the track with Bea and Deatha and Baby B and we were walking. I had already gone around before I saw Bea coming in and then she said Deatha was over on the track so we went and met her and walked around the track so I got a good walk in. Yesterday I did most of my walking around the walmart in Hilton Head Beach. And today, guess it is the day of rest. We left about 9 this morning. But it was fun. Atleast it was different. No computer and no phone since Friday night. And I needed it. Last week was awful. Bev was talking about Jeff. Said he told her he just did not understand why we were not all perfect. I told her the next time he said that to tell him to lead by example. Cause he is far from perfect. That 400 miles made a big difference in the weather. It was between 85 and 90 down there, where it is in the 50's upper range right now. Got to plug my heater back in. Going to church so will talk later.

Just stopping by to say hi and so you all don't think something happened to me. I'm going to read my new book tonight "Mastering Leptin." I was busy watching Alyssa all weekend so the kids could house shop (they saw a few that they liked, so keep your fingers crossed) and I haven't had any reading time at all. I tried last night but I took an Advil p.m. and was out. I slept til 1:45 this afternoon believe it or not. John just watched tv beside me but he said he knew I didn't sleep well last week so he just left me sleep. Now I feel like the weekend flew since I slept most of it away.

Evon, glad that you got out to shop. Is Jeff Beverly's husband? Why is he wanting everyone to be perfect, what is behind that? I certainly know I'M not perfect, sure wish I was, but obviously only ONE is perfect, I believe. I can strive to be the best that I can be but I don't even pretend to be perfect.

Talk to you all tomorrow, I'll try to check in if Alyssa takes a nap, but those are ify any more. I think she's to the place where she's only wanting one nap a day and she thinks she's going to miss something if she sleeps.

This is from a perfect overweight elderly woman who can not get a diet straight.. I would like to be better but what can I say... I am way up there again.. Been working in the yard all weekend.. Emile said he is getting too old for this.. So I asked him if he wanted to sell the house..He said "where would we go.. "? I said "in elderly housing.." "No way", he said. Just a thought.. ... Well we will have a busy week. We have the kids all week. At least 2 of them.. Maybe 3..?? I did go to work Sat. Was glad to get home though.. My body was sore all over.. ..all weekend.. Well I'm happy to see everyone got in here finally.

Evon, I'm so happy you had a nice weekend in GA. It must have been awesome to be in such nice warm weather too. Glad you're back. We missed you of course!!!
I saw a T-shirt that said," I'm not perfect, but I'm so close it scares me!" Maybe you should have one of those printed for you and your co-workers.
I'm sitting here having breakfast and Ron just left to have his blood work done. He won't be back for a half hour or so.

Rebecca, I'll keep my fingers crossed for the kids. I hope they aren't disappointed this time.
I just started reading a book too. I used to enjoy reading so much but with old age comes poor eyesight so I can't read more than 5 or 10 pages before my eyes start bugging me when I try to read a paperback book. So I bought a couple of hard cover books and the print is much larger so I am enjoying this new book that I bought.
That was quite a gook time to wake up! Glad you got caught up on your sleep. How nice of John not to disturb you.

Claire, my little sweet friend. Sorry you are up again! I know how discouraged you must be.
I know how frustrating yard work can be too when you just don't have the strength to do all that back-breaking work. I am dreading even getting started in our yard. I want to get it done because it looks so beautiful in the spring and summer months but I just don't have time right now to get out there with all the shower preparations that I've been having to take care of.
Last night Shannon and I made all the favors and they are adorable. They came out so cute. And we wrapped all the prizes so we are not getting to the point where it is all coming together.
I still need to try and find some ribbon. We ran out of the ribbon that I bought for the favors and I hope I can remember where I got it. I also need more pastel jelly beans and I can't seem to find any. Easter is over and all but the brightly colored ones are gone.
We will be ordering the cake on Wednesday and hopefully I can tie off all these loose ends before the shower on Saturday morning. I have to speak with my mom's best aide to see if she can come in earlier on Saturday to give my mom her lunch. If she doesn't have plans of her own I'm sure she will do it. I wish I had a dozen more aides like her, she is just wonderful.

Well I am going to hop (well maybe not hop) in the shower so I can get dressed to go downstairs and get my mom ready with Jenny.

Yard, I think I have one somewhere, out there under that jungle. When I will get to it, God only knows. I did go out and put fertilizer down where I am going to put some tomatoe plants and where my 4 oclocks are waiting to spring up next month. That is only 2 weeks. I have tomatoes plants coming up. It got cold last night so I took them in and let them sleep on the porch. Hope it dont scar them for life. Gotta run. I went to walk this morning at the park. Neither Bea or Deatha were there when I got there, so I did my own thing. When I was coming back to the car, I saw Bea out on the trak, but waved and got in my car. Needed to go to the bank to get some money, then the grocery to get some eggs, cheese, and meat. Then home to wash all the dishes and cooked some sausage so I can eat it after I weigh in. Got to take my socks off. I really ate a lot of salt and sugar over the weekend, so hope I did not gain all my last weeks loss back. But I hold water terrible. Fixed one fried egg for breakfast this morning. See yall when ever. Wish I had more time. Love to all.

Hi Evon, I wish it would start getting a little warmer. I may start walking with my cousin at the track. It beats the treadmill by a mile. Glad you sticking to a walking routine. That's so good for you.
I'm thinking of either a potted plant or fresh cut flowers for the centerpieces for the shower. That will be the last thing I do. I can't bring any kind of flowers or plants in the house. My cats eat them.

Hi girls, taking care of Alyssa again, the kids are on their way out to John's step-dad's to drawl up a contract on a house in Xenia. It looks nice from the pics, and they swear it's the house of their dreams. LOL. John is on his way out now to drive by it but its dark now so he won't be able to see very much. It's in the plat where we started out with our first home. Xenia, OH home of the 1974 tornado. haha. I hope they can get it.

I'm using Kim's laptop and the keys are very loose, it's my old laptop but its gone downhill cuz of Alyssa messing with it. we were going to get her a new laptop when she graduates from Medical Massage Therapy School and I think she needs it, but I would suggest to her to keep it up from Alyssa. She was suppose to go to school tonight but I guess this is more important, she better get her hiney back on Wednesday night cuz she missed last Wednesday and tonight and she'll get behind if she doesn't get back. She has a test next Monday so she should have gone tonight, she'll be sorry when she gets her test back, but there's only so much we can do when they grow up.

Evon, how are you today? How is the weather there? Claire and Lynn, what's up with you? Jan, the party favors take up a lot of time, don't they. When is the shower? You'll have fun seeing all the little girl clothes she gets for the baby. Have they picked out a name for the baby?

I am at home tonight. We had a compromising situation at work today and the sheriff thought it would be better for us to close at 6:00 so now I have to make up 3 hours before the end of the week. Think I will go in an hour early for 3 days. But I really dont love the idea. Going off and pigging out did not help my weigh in today. But I know it is mostly water and will be definitely be gone by next week. I am sitting here eating chili right now. I came home from work and put a perm in my hair. It is curley now. Maybe I wont have to fix it every day now.

Becky, hope the kids find what they want and dont jump too fast. It takes a lot to keep a house up after you buy it and with a kid, it takes a lot of money. Hope they dont over extend themselves, but I think it is far better to own your home than to rent your home. If you dont like it after a while, you can sell it and get your money out of it. But it can be a money pit also. So good luck wished for them. Enjoy your baby.

Jan, hope it does warm up so you can get out and walk. I love to walk. I just dont seem to have the time all the time. I have to go to town to get a birthday present in the morning. It was her birthday today so told her what I was getting and asked what color sheets she wanted. But she is good to me. She gives me lots of clothes and boosts my ego. Is Shannon into her new job and enjoying it this week. More pay usally comes with more responsibility.

Lynn, good to see your smiling face. Glad you are enjoying the visit and your grandchild. Aint they so sweet. I know your heart is overflowing with love for her.

Claire, dont feel like a lone ranger. I lost 6 last week and found 5 over the weekend. But it is okay. It will come off. If I could just learn to behave myself. I might get to goal just before I am too old to enjoy it.

The sun is shining, oh happy day...Emile has gone to pick up the kids.. I am waiting to get them their breakfast??? They did not come yesterday. Mandy was sick so her Mom stayed home with her.. Barrett went to his friends house.. So we went to the Christmas tree shop.. Bought 2 hanging plants (sold for $5.. for $.47...They were on their last leg.) But I brought threm home and saved them.. Now I can cut them down and root some new plants for my containers.. Nothing cheap about me...I also went to Ocean state to buy some Mungo Pines for $5 each.. They were all sold out.. Maybe they will get more ? We also did our food shopping.. I received a Kimkins newsletter this morning.. But I cannot go to the site because I have been kicked off.. I was bad...

Claire, my tomatoe seeds are coming up. But it is so cold, I have to take them in at night. But I did not take the ones on the front porch in, because they are in plastic bags, but it is supposed to freeze tonight, so should I bring them in? Our last day of frost is usally april 19 but it is not usally cold this time of the year. We have already seen 80 and now freezing? What is going on. Hope you and all the other angels have a great day. I got up before 6 this morning and fixed some tacos and washed some dishes and fixed my hair, and have just gotten back from the store where I bought a set of sheets for Pam, an usaf hoodie for me and some picante sauce and a muffin tin. I am going to steal your idea and make up some mini meat loafs.

Hello everyone,

This is going to be short. I am so darn mad. I had a long post with messages to all of you and I got up to answer the phone and when I came back about 15 minutes later it was gone.
I tried to go back but I couldn't find it. So now I don't really have time to write it all over again so I'm just going to say hi to all of you.
I was out shopping all day and I am happy to say I am finally finished buying shower stuff.
I am DONE!!! All we have to do is order the cake tomorrow and then wait for Saturday to come.

Evon, I did walk today. I parked at one end of the mall and went from one store to the other without moving my car once. I went from the first store to the very last store and back to my car. I had a nice day shopping and found everything I was looking for.
It was a gorgeous day today.

Claire, it was so nice to see you so happy today. It's amazing what a little sunshine can do for your mood. Have fun with the kids this week. Shannon and I are supposed to go and see the kids today. They are waiting for us.

Rebecca, I hope the kids plans for this new house go better for them for the last deal. They seem very eager to become homeowners so I will pray that it happens for them.

Rebecca, I can't believe that house for $81,000. That would go for 3 times as much in RI. I think our real estate market is ridiculous right now. You can't touch a house for less than $250,00 and that's a fix-er-upper.
The house if very nice and I wish them lots of luck in getting it and being happy in it for many years to come.

The house is about 875 or so sq feet with a 1 1/2 car garage (our starter home in the same plat had the 1/2 towards the front of the garage but it was great for storage). I think it's an adorable starter home and they won't be lining someone else's pockets and their money will go towards building equity so they can upgrade in the future (which is what we did). I hope that everything goes well, I've put it in God's hands.

I wanted to share it with some of you, if Claire and Lynn sends me their email addresses I'll send the pics to them too. I only had Jan and Evon's emails.

I'm in here early this morning because Shannon took some vacation time for the rest of the week so we will be here there and everywhere together for a few days till the shower.
The weather is beautiful already with the sun shining and the temperature already warming up.
I am so happy to see the end of the cold and especially the snow for another year.


Rebecca I really enjoyed seeing pictures of the house. It's amazing what $81,000 can by in a different part of the country.

Jan, John and I would love to see comperable pictures of homes in your area. I think it would do Kim and Brad good to see them too. The house is probably about 895 or so square feet. The brochur that she gave John doesn't have the square feet, but that's about what our house was in Xenia. Alyssa will go to St. Brigid school when she starts, that's the school that Kim was in Kindergarten at, then she switched to St. Charles Borromeo school 1st-8th grade, then she went to Bellbrook H.S. 9th through graduation. She said she liked a private school cuz she thinks that private schools whether they're Catholic or Christian teaches morals that the public schools sometimes don't teach. She also gives her early upbringing for not getting involved in drugs and alcohol. Brad doesn't care where she goes as long as she doesn't get involved in what he did, John said he would pay for her tuition if they can't afford it. things are sooo much better between them, they hit a few patches this week where they were squabbling, but I told them on Monday night, searching and buying a house is very stressful, and at least they were squabbling instead of ignoring each other. They both got a kick out of that. The house was going to list with a realtor for 89,900 and there's no way they could have afforded that. It's for sale by owner, so they listed it for 81,900. And to think that our first house was 39,900 in that same area and sold it for $52,900. 20 years ago this November is when we moved to this house. Heck, we got this house for 78,900 and we made a KILLING on it because the lady was itching to get to California with her husband. THEN 2 years later she showed up on our doorstep and asked if they could buy it back for what they sold it to us for. NOOOO. The house appraised when we got it in 1988 for 105,000 so that's how much of a mistake she made. God was looking out for us.

Claire, I sent you pics of hopefully "their house". I'm so scared that something is going to fall though, I feel the same way as when we bought both of ours, you can't let out a breath til the closing is over with. I just hope that it goes through so Alyssa has a home and a yard that she can play in, and Hunter has a yard he can burn off some energy (and his fat butt. Man, has that Black Lab gotten a broad butt. I told him Tuesday night his butt was as broad as mine. haha)

Does anyone know when Lynn is due back? I can't wait to see pics of her and her granddaughter, can you? I can't imagine how you guys feel cuz you've known her longer, but I love you all and Thank God for drawing me to the Atkins Angels thread. I can't tell you how many times I saw that and though of browsing and didn't, then one day I decided to just see what it was all about and was taken back from the LOVE that you all have for each other. now I know why.

Evon, how are you doing today? Isn't tonight a church night for you? I hope it's a good one. I very much enjoyed talking to you, I'll have to call you again soon and we can chat. I was suppose to have Amaranth tonight but I just called into work and called off, I have pink eye from the little critters at work in BOTH eyes, I have eyedrops here from the last time they gave it to me. There's so many people in their 70's that I don't want to expose them to it, so I won't go to that tonight.
