Lynn, I bought some things called mini-trifle bowls. They match my trifle bowl that I bought from Pampered Chef when I had my party exactly. I think they're made by Libby. I paid $2.99 each and they are PERFECT for portion control I think that's the only way that I could handle a sundae, sugar free or not, cause if I had a bowl I would want to fill it up. I've been using the Breyer's Carb Control/sugar free vanilla ice cream and the Smuckers sugar free hot fudge sauce. Don't know if the hot fudge sauce is "legal" but I figured that it's got to be better than the real stuff and I know with WW it can be used.

Jan, so glad that Shannon got the job. I bet she's excited! How was Gracie's party? I bet she was happy that you guys were there. How old did you say she was?

Evon, I'm SOOOO happy for you and proud of you getting out. You know, you can't meet those sexy guys if you stay home all the time. haha. I know I haven't been an Atkins Angel for very long, but the short time that I've been one, I've come to love each and every one of you. I pray that you find someone, sweetie, you deserve someone to spend your life with. And even if it isn't something permanent, it's good to have someone to get out and have fun with. And, how pretty we all would look as your bridesmaids. LOL. So so happy for you, and what a fun time at the hockey game. I would constantly be dodging the puck even if it wasn't coming into the stands. haha.

Claire, I hope you found the pants you were wanting. When I lose a little more, I'm getting a pair of caprie's. John hates them, he thinks they look stupid (he's a Docker's pants person) but I told him if I lose what I want, I'm getting some. He said if I lose it he would go shopping with me to find some, even if he doesn't like them. LOL.

Okay girlfriends, I need you to help me pray for Kim, Brad and Alyssa. John found a house for $82,000 that is in a nice area, close to shopping and only about 15 minutes from us. He told Kim if they could get it he would sell stock for $3000-4000 to help them swing it. It's 3 bedroom, eat in kitchen, family room (she said they could easily make it a dining room), living room. It doesn't have a garage because that's where the family room is, it looks like they took the garage and made it into a family room, but John told her if they decided to stay there they could always built a detached garage. It's fenced in except for a very small portion towards the right hand side, but John said it wouldn't be that expensive or difficult to fence that part. Kim called and said that Alyssa was running around the back yard (it's vacant) and even went up and kissed the kitchen door, maybe she knows something that we don't? So, would you all please help me pray for them to get this home, it would be so good for them to be putting their money towards something that would be their's and it's close to us and Brad's mother (she's only about 2 miles from us, further into the town of Bellbrook than we are). I called my Mom and she's going to say prayers for them, she almost started crying when I told her that John approved of this house, she puts a lot of trust into John's opinions.)

Going to check my other threads now. I hope that everyone has a good beginning of the week. Alyssa and I are going to drive to Beavercreek tomorrow night when I have her (about a 25 minute drive) and get Boston Market. I'm wanting the sirloin dip on multigrain bread so bad and Alyssa loves the 2 leg children's meal!!!

I am a late bloomer tonight. But I have been gone all day. Went to sunday school and church; then out to eat with Janie and her sister and her husband. Then went to the ball game, then by the house. It looks so good. From there, went to Barbaras and we had dinner and went to church again. They had a singing tonight. She bought a cd for Juanita, so we went home and I copied it. It had a song on there that I wanted. Then we got on the computer and downloaded my tax form and the things I need to pay it with. And finally I am home and give out so I am going to bed. Got up at 5 this morning. tAlk tomorrow.

Another grey Monday.. Will it improve much the rest of the week???.. Lynn, hope the sun is shining in Texas.. I mde a tissue box cover yesterday with my plastic canvas.. Last Sat. the manager tells me that there were plastic canvas cutouts in the donations.. She would find them for me.. So when I got there Sat. I asked if she had found them.. She tells me that the others like that stuff also.. So I guess they got them during the week.. I got nothing.. That's OK.. I'll buy my own.. I will not depend on them for anything.. If I get it fine.. If not, I will buy my own.. I just wish I was yard saling again.. That's where you find these things cheap.. Needless to say I did not get any cropped pants.. I will not hold my breath on that either.. Oh well.. So much for having a heavy heart.. I thought I had grown out of those feelings but I guess not.... See that is why I cannoyt get control of things.. I just fall to pieces when I am left out.. That is the story of my life though..
Well I will be going out to work in my garden this week.. My trellis that we put up last year twisted in the wind during the winter.. I have plans of miving it into the prayer garden and using it as a sculpture. I will hang colored beads from it.. See how it comes out.. I will take a picture if it looks OK..
Lynn have a great trip.. Jan, I wonder if Kristen was at the meeting at Fidelity? I am sure Brock was very proud of his brother.. We don't get to see her often.. She is so busy on weekends.. No time for the Memere..
Evon, I wish I was yard saling with you to go find goodies.. When I was younger I thought this plastic canvas was a waste of time.. But now it is a great way to pass the time away..

Rebecca, I already said a prayer for Kim and Brad. I hope with all my heart they get that house. When we were looking at this house that we are living in now. I fell in love with the backyard. I have a really big yard and with 3 children I could just imagine all the great times we would have out there playing. So I prayed and prayed and I promised St. Jude that if we got the house, the first thing we would do would be to put a nice statue of him out in the front yard. We got the house 30 years ago and he is still standing there blessing us each time we come and go.
I love St. Jude and he has answered so many of my prayers. So I will say a prayer to him too that the kids get the house.

Claire, sorry no crop pants or the other craft stuff you wanted. Are they those plastic things with all the tiny squares in them? I will keep an eye out for some for you.
Have you ever done latch hook rugs? That's a nice easy way to pass the time too.
I wish I have some relaxing time to sit and do nothing but that is not the way my life is right now. Maybe some day!

He has always had that reaction with the opposite sex. I don't know what it is about him but everyone loves the guy......especially his mama.
Sorry about your heavy heart!!!! Why do you think you feel that way? I don't think I ever dwell on my disappointments and if someone hurts my feeling I am able to shake it off. I just say to myself what an A$$hole and forget about it. To me they are not worth another thought.

Good morning Angels. I am finally up. But I slept soooooo good. In the bed all night. You know I slept good.

Claire, did not get to yardsale this week. It rained too much Saturday, and then yesterday was full with all the activities. Maybe next week, but no, I am going to SC with Bev next weekend, if she is well. I am just praising the Lord today. He is soo good to me. First, just waking me up and helping me make it thru the day yesterday. And then giving me the song last night. And then today, I found the moleskin I was looking for and it even had the metatarsal pad in it, that I have been thinking about buying. I did not know I had one. Now got to figure out which insole to put it on so I can use in on different shoes. Maybe I will use the new one, but not the massaging ones. I guess I should go finish getting my stuff out of the car, from my trip on Saturday. It was raining when I got back so only got out the stuff that would spoil. Then no time yesterday. Forget and forgive them people. Jesus said, "they know not what they do." when they nailed Him to the cross. And they are not as smart now, as they were then. So dont put your trust in people. Just trust in the Lord. He will give you what you need. So put a smile on your face, and a song in your heart and over come the situation. Time if growing shorter for all of us and it is terrible to waste it worried about the bad actions of others. Besides, we all love you. What more could you want?

Jan, I started my taxes in January when i got the the forms. But had to wait on interest things and such. Went back and did more after they came in. I did them on the web. I was going to print them and send them in, but as time got short, I decided I better go ahead and file on line to get it over with. So now I just have to send the money in. They were accepted by irs. Waiting to hear from the state, but I will get them ready to mail anyhow. It has to be paid either way. So they can send it back to me. I had to pay almost $600. all together including the filing fee. Remember, you only have 9 days.

Becky, will pray they get the house if that is Gods will for them. Sounds perfect. It is the same price Barbara and jere spent on the one they are flipping. It is a big brick house with a wrap around porch with an awning and swing on the porch. It is a very nice house. I went to see if yesterday because they got gotten the tile floors done and painted. So now it is on to the trim work and installing the cabinets when they come Wednesday. It is going to be lovely. I do believe people are better off buying their own home instead of renting. But tell them to not get involved in an variable interest loan. Lots of people are losing their house over those. They are better off locking it in and if interest rates go down, they can remortgage. It is a possibility they will be able to pay more in the future and pay it off quicker, but if something happens and they cant, it will be better for them to know what they have to pay. We lucked out because we bought our house just before David got sick. Then we had to buy a new truck. The insurance company ended up paying for that. I am not really looking for a man right now. I think it would be nice when I get in a difficult place, but when things are going well, I just am happy by myself. I dont know that it is good for me, but I look at what others go thru and I am so blessed. Have a great day.

Nope I am still around will be leaving Friday night at 5:20 after school-I have to put the dogs in the kennel Thursday and Friday is my last workout for a while, than off to the airport. I did get a travel pass for the Curves in Buda, Dawn said it was close to her house adn I will take her with me a couple of times to see if she likes it. If she does and she can find the time for a few workouts a week I will buy her a membership. I will take tons of pictures of the baby and share them when I get back with you all. The most recent ones I got from Dawn just prove how big she is getting!!!

Jan-I can not believe that Gracie is already 5-how long have we been posting together here?? It seems like she was just born!!!!

Rebecca-that house sounds just wonderful -you can bet that I will send prayers and positive energy their way. What a terrific place for the baby to grow up

Evon-what a bummer that you had to pay into the IRS!!!! I will be getting $1400 back from the federal government and about $400 from the state. Of course I paid in a fortune!!!! Glad to hear that you finally got a good nights sleep

Claire- many hugs my friend-I also used to feel sad when folks left me out of the "circle" especially since I always try to include everyone but soon learned as Jan said that most of those folks that I lost so much sleep over are not worth my tears. Becky, congratulations. You are doing great. The important thing is to keep it off. Is the house near you. I love to have something to look forward to, so will be anticipating the outcoming. I know they had a rough time not so long ago. Do you think that rough patch is over? Grandkids can take a lot out of you. But I love it. I do things for them I did not do for my kids.

Lynn, that will be great for you to take Dawn and go work out. I am calling Curves in the morning. They left a message for me to call but I think i might have lost the number. Death and I are going to see if we can go on Friday. Know you are looking forward to your trip. I know you will enjoy that little almost 6 month old. They are so fun at that age. Yeah, I ended up paying about 1,000 alltogether to irs. I could have it deducted, but then I might forget how much I pay. Like everybody else. They dont realize the government is using your money for free. But I thought about it and might have more taken out and put in my retirement. I need to go switch some things around. Both of them did get accepted, so that is a load off my mind.

This will be a busy week getting ready for Friday-I only have school two days this week-one day is a conference and another is testing which leaves me in school today and Friday which is a field trip to see Horton Hears a Who-should be fun for the kids!!! Off to begin my fun

Jan, I do think that way also.. But when she brought it up last week.. I was so happy that she thought of me.. Then this week I was gorgotten and all the sheets where gone.. What else is new.. We went to Woon. and to Walmart and bought 6 sheets for $1.87.. That will keep me out of trouble for a while and not thinking of my dissappointments..
Rebecca, prayers are going your way.. Hoping that this house is THE ONE.. I remember when we bought our hoestead.. I was pregnant with our 2nd and just wanted to get out of the tenement we were renting.. After we bought the house and it was empty.. What a mess.. But it was our mess.. I bought books. and taught Emile how to do sweatfitting.. We did all our own plumbing.. Repaired what was falling apart. and made it into a loving HOME.. That is how I started doing container gardening. We had made the side yard into a large driveway.. for the kids cars.. But after they married and left I had this large blacktopped area.. So I purchased a piece of artificial turf and placing large plants randomly with wooden cutouts place here and there.. That is how I started to do wooden cutouts.. (Have not done any since we bought here.. 9 years now.. ) Good luck on this new life ahead for your DD family..

Evon, taxes, taxes, taxes.. Boy we would be so rich if we did not have those obligations every year.. But this is America.. We have to keep it going.. We have not paid anymore then what they take out.. This year we will be getting the stimulist package.. Wowie.. I'm not spending it all.. I do want to get this foldaway couch we found at Bernie's for the spare room.. They are getting to old for a play room.. They will still have the run of that room for drawing and crafting..

I am not into this stuff. I was thinking that I need a new steering wheel cover this morning, but dont know if I could get it on. How pathetic is that. Lynn, dont you wish you were in Texas today. The hottest place in the us. It is cool here. Supposed to get up to the 60's. But still no sun. I did go walking. Had a nice walk and I can walk longer when it is on the cooler side. Atleast the wind is not blowing. I got my bath and hair washed this morning. One more thing I wont have to do in the morning. I have to get up early and be at work at 8 am so I can get off at 5:00 and then we are going to Greensboro to see Jesus and sup with him. So I wont be in tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow. It is my anniversary of being on low carb for a year this time. Still not perfect but look where I am baby. I walked about 2 miles this morning and went shopping, and cooked enough for today and tomorrow. And I just got off my bike from biking another mile and lifted my weights. Did not weigh this morning because I had things to do and did not want any influence on it. I will in the morning if there is any way. Got my breakfast cooked for in the morning and pan for eggs on stove. Getting ready to eat my sausage and eggs for today. I only grabbed about 2 oz of cheese for breakfast on my way out this morning.

I just came upstairs at 11:15. I had two aides here till 10 and then the nurse came in to check my mom out and she just left here a few minutes ago.
Busy morning today. My mom looked great this morning. Very alert and speaking a few words here and there. It was funny and we were all happy with her this morning. In spite of her illness she is a happy woman and her quality of life is still good.

Lynn, I thought for sure you were leaving today. Well just a few days left. That will go by quickly. I'm glad you enjoy curves so much. I think I would like that too but I can't beat the price I'm paying at PF.

Becky, congratulations on your weight loss. Good for you!
Just think of how quickly you could get back to your goal if you lost just 2 pounds a week?

Claire, I just made an appointment for our taxes. I'm trying to find all our receipts for our medications. Such a pain in the butt. I hate doing taxes with a passion.
We'll be going in tomorrow at 2:00. Didn't have any problem getting an appointment.
Glad we made you feel better about yourself. You are one great person, we all agree on that!!!

Evon, I am hoping that we don't have to pay. With the shower coming up I don't have any money left over. And with the very cold winter we had, I used a lot more oil so my budget is coming up short this year so I'll have a final payment at the end of April to pay. So far I'm about $400 behind. That's because the price of oil went up so when they guesstimated how much I had to pay each month for my oil they undercharged me.

Well sorry to be so short today. I am in a big hurry to get back to finding our receipts.

The kids took a walk through of the house. Thank GOD John's step-dad is a relator/auctioneer so he will keep their best interests at heart. He told them if that was the house that he wanted he would do everything within his power to help them achive it. But, I also know that if he thought that if something was wrong he would go to bat for them too, I trust him entirely. Kim said it will take a lot of cosmetic work but so have all the other houses in their price range and this one (I think Claire asked this question) is about 15 minutes from us. About 5 minutes from their apartment that they live in now.

Going to go eat some frozen pizza, I'm at Kim's and I haven't eaten since lunch. Hey, when it's your daughter providing dinner you can't be too choosy, I'll just eat light and have a salad when I get home.

The last Biggest Loser is tonight before the finale. What will I do with my Tuesday nights after next week????

T'is a grey day again in CF.. We did work in the yard yesterday.. Got a lot in the back done. I think we will be anble to save our trellis.. Emile only has to anchor it in the ground.. I think it was on ledge before..
Thanks Jan for the call last night. I will make it my business to get to that craft store this morning.. I will get what I can.. Summer is coming an this will be great for the kids also.. I am going to buy some quickcrete to make some stepping stones for the garden.. I bought a kit.. And I do think I can do the same myself. The stepping stones they sell now, desintegrate in the ground.. I think I can make some that will lst forever.. Rebecca, that is so great that they have someone looking out for their benefit.. When you go house hunting you think of the idea that is it is better then what you have now.. But the hidden troubles can become a headache.. That is just like paying a contractor to do some repair work.. You have to stay on top of it.. They will screw you first chance they get.. Be alert.. Good luck to them..

Evon, we have done a lot of work together. We have done plumbing, electrical..carpentry our own painting and yard work.. We built a patio at the old house and if I had the money I would put in a patio at this house.. Now of course we are much older and achy.. So we do not get into any big projects much anymore.. I bought a pedometer to measure my steps . I could not get it to work at first.. Then yesterday When we went shopping and then worked in the yard I recorded 2065 steps..(see I told you I was sedentary..) I know it is not much but it gives me a number to build on.. I can attempt to first hit 5000 steps, then work myself up to 10,000.. That is a big reason why I am not losing anything.. I have to get this body to MOVE.. I know that.. Hi girls,

Well we went to H&R Block and we owe Uncle Sam $10.00. The darn tax preparation cost us $280.00 though. So we came out of there $290 poorer than when we went in.

Lynn, I think I'm the only one who doesn't watch The Biggest Loser. I like the show but it's on the same time as something else that we watch. I see little bits and pieces of it during the commercials sometimes and they are all doing so great.

Claire, did you get to the Craft Corner this morning? I hope you got some good deals to keep the kids busy all summer.
I was buying the stone stepping stones and they kept cracking so last year I got some cast iron ones. They still look good and I kept them out all winter.
Pretty soon we are going to have to start cleaning up the yard. We have so many big broken branches that are too heavy to even carry away. We'll have to get Brock to come over with his saw and chop it up first. Then we can haul it off to the swamp.
I bought 2 pedometers last year and neither of them worked for more than a couple of days. They were cheap ones though.

Evon sorry to hear that another acquaintance of your died. There seems to be so many of them. I guess the more people you know the higher the number of loses.
I little girl in Woonsocket was almost kidnapped today not far from here. Luckily she escaped her kidnapper and is safe.

When will the kids get a definite answer as to whether or not they get the house. I am praying that they get it. There's nothing like owning your own home. They seem like such nice kids they deserve that.

I am here, but it has been a hard day. Got up early at 6:45 and got ready to go and off I went. Took the trash over to Heathers and then picked up Barbara and went to home depot. I was looking some weather stripping and Barbara said she would give me some, so did not buy any but did get hepa filter for my heater and some of that foam stuff to close up holes. like the one that comes up behind the toilet. See if I can keep some cold air out or in, whichever. But it is finally warming up. Work was terrible today. Sometimes, I love my job, but today was not one of them. People were so mean and combative today.

Jan, I think tomorrow is the problem. It would have been Davids birthday. I miss him so much. I wish I could go back. I am still at loose ends. Have you ever tried tax act or turbo tax online. If yall only have social security I would try it. You can have it done thru them for free, and then you will know if you need to go to an accountant. As for my acquantance dying, I never met the woman. But we were supposed to go meet this guy Mark, who played Jesus in a video that Bevs church put out when she was in Ok City. And I wanted to meet him. But his aunt died and he could not come to the furniture market. So we dont get to go. Dont know if we are still going to SC this weekend or not. I need to get away, but dont want to go. Ever get like that? Dont even talk about yards. My yard is full of fire ant hills. I was watching the program with Nanny Jo and just submitted my post so I would not lose it. I went to Home Depot this morning and wanted a filter, so I go to the contractor desk and ask if he knows where the filters are, he says yes, I say can you tell me, he says I will do better. I will take you. So we go all the way back to the back of the store to get it. And they dont have something I can use, so he takes me to the other side of the store and finds a register filter, and we go back to the front of the store. He takes me to the cash register, and I did not have 30cents change to finish paying for it, so he gives the cashier 30cents. Then he tells me to be sure and go online and do the survey and be sure and tell them how helpful he was. I ask what his name was so I could mention him, and he gave me his card. Said if I ever had any problems, to call him. He was so nice to this old lady.

Claire, I think that is great. David was never interested in doing a lot of projects. He used to stand around and watch others. He was a little active when Jr was here working, but that was a long time. They got along good. But he is no longer in our family. He was Amy's 1st husband. I would love to be handy. Barbara does a lot of stuff like that.
