CUTEPIXY: I'm glad you seem to be doing better, you'll look great this summer! Since you're coming to the States, let me know if you're ever in Colorado, that would be fun!

CAT: Keep it up, take for granted that you're my inspiration everyday!

TINA and LYNN: Congrats on the loss! you're right on your way to what Mommy22boys called "virgin fat"! lol

ZER: Just keep going, you'll get there faster than you think with all the support here..

GRACIE: You look just GORGEUS....I like your hair this way even better! But then again, since mine is curly, I always want straight! lol

WENIG: I've begun buying the liquid egg-whites and the egg beaters and they're both already pasteurized, as expensive as eggs are getting, I actually did better (money wise) with the liquid ones...

GILLY: Thanks for sharing, I have some strawberry crystal light left, I'll see if that works..I also made myself a "blackout" yesterday (vanilla milkshake and diet rite) and it was TO DIE FOR...KUTGW, you and me are almost the same weight now, except you're 4 inches taller and must look MUCH better! You're also a wonderful motivation.

As for myself I've been losing these past 3 days, and eating A LOT more than usual, just low carb...BUT this last Sunday I didn't go bIKE riding, and stayed at home and consumed almost an entire pack of Sugar Free Vanilla wafers I felt so bad I gained so much! But again, I lost 0.8 of a pound yesterday and 1.8 pounds today...So, as you can see, I'm using my scale daily again! but will give it to my hubby to store until Friday, so all of us doing it that day will have fun! (hopefully) I'll let you all know my weight by then..I'm much to ashamed of it now...

Take Care everyone!

haha i also don't have any boobs though... i think if i did, that'd prob add 10lbs. but thank you for the very kind words! but by the looks of your pic, i would trade your place ANYDAY!

it seriously IS sooo hard to give up that scale!! i really wanted to go on it last night cause i felt bloated and wanted to see if i had gained. then instead it flashed "batt" so i have to go replace the battery. that's prob god's way of being like stoppp!! waiiitt!!

but whatevs, i really can't help but to want to weigh often. i just want to see if what i'm doing is right, if i'm on track and everything!! i also want to experiment and take sweeteners away for 3 days and try another 3 day experiment w/no caffeine to see if either of these will help me lose faster. but i would need to weigh everyday for this!

Hello,

Draggin my sorry butt back to this forum to get on track. I seem to have the best luck staying on track when I come here and read about everyones success, tips and support.

Its been some time since I was here. To catch up- Lost my dad on January 31st from the cancer of which he was diagnosed in Septemer. I spent many days at the hopsital and I was having a bit of a hard time staying focused on eatting the right things. We decided to go on vacation in Febuary and we took the family on a cruise.. YIKES.. 5 course meals, scrumptious deserts, food around every corner...all bets were off!! I was there to enjoy, and boy did I ever! Needless to say, I gained about 12 pounds since November. I have managed to take off 5-6 and working on the rest ..Would like to lose 20 additional pounds. Thus far I am at 55 pounds lost. I do need to stop the slim jims, tic tacs, diet soda, and get back to the basic meat/ eggs.. I do have to confess I am an oopsie rolls addict!

So that's enough about me! How is everyone... Some old faces I recognize.. Parisfox, Gracie, Angie, Brownezes, Tina, Lynn, Cutepixy.. Everyone else.. nice to meet you all !

Ok this post is long enough.. hope the scale gods are good to you all in the morning!

I am down 1.2 pounds today, woohoo! I stayed on track yesterday I ate two eggs with a sprinkle of cheese, (OK a lot of cheese) and a steak. I was going to make a shake but getting out the blender and the thought of washing it wasn't in the cards for me last night... I also got in a good workout , nothing like breaking a good old fashioned sweat.

Pamela ~ So sorry to hear about your loss, hope things are getting better. You have done great in the past so you should have no trouble getting back into the good habits again. I looked at the ingredients on the Slim Jims and some other flavored jerky and they all either had sugar or corn syrup listed in the ingredients so I put them back. They are always sneaking that stuff in there.

Tina ~ Crustless pizza sounds like heaven!

Gilly ~ That is the only way that you will find what works for you is to experiement. Not giving up is the hard part.

Cutepixy ~ Great words of encouragement, keeping a positive attitude is so hard when things are bleak.

Angie ~ You have always motivated me by your kind words and awesome advise and unending encouragement. Don't get discouraged things will turn around for you.

DevonAZ ~ Congrats on the loss, WTG

To everyone I missed have a great day!

April's last week, just 7days to improve my April loss!

What can I do to lock in more of a weight loss in this final week of April? More water, more often. More meals, more often. Smaller meals, more often. We all know the formula, don't we? Am I the only one who delays preparing meals because I'm "too busy" lying about to get up and get to the kitchen to fix food? Probably not. No one of us is as unique as we imagine we are! Not even I am.

Today's mini-goal is to eat every 4hrs, starting with 40g of protein at 5am (done) and aiming for a lovely golden eggy scramble at 10am and a nice fishy-mayo salad at 2pm and protein-salad meal at 6pm, with sardines in reserve for a late snack if I can possibly manage to pry open a can of tiny fishies. All this and 128oz of water sipped in 8oz portions each hour all day long. That's my agenda for a successful Wednesday aiming to see DYNAMITE RESULTS on Saturday's weigh day. Got to get a rhythm going, with more meals, more often. Aghhh!

Here's to finding my LC rhythm and to making it 2d nature to fuel up every few hours and to hydrate every hour, thus accomplishing what I can to aid my cells in metabolizing my body's fat like mad. I'm eager to see a leaner me, a more agile me, a positively LC me. I want to brag on Dr.Atkins as I display a healthy body that proves that good man's theory. That's my goal!

Good Morning Everyone:

Thank you so much for not letting me down when I needed you the most....even though I don't know you in person, I feel you guys are great friends...CUTEPIXY, GILLY, CAT and GRACIE Thank you so much for the beautiful words, I'll NEVER give up trying to feel and LOOK better...not If I love myself enough! And with encouraging words like those, who could?

Well this is a little personal, but I've had a worry in the back of my mind these last few days, since I started feeling nauseous You guys remember I once explained that for me, a baby is OUT OF THE QUESTION at this time...especially now that I'll be able to start working and earning and since my son will go to school full time, I'll be able to retake my life again finally!
Well I have a slight suspicion I might be expecting and I was sooo sure that wouldn't happen, since I have a 10 yr IUD in...But the problem is I had it put in when I was a little over 60 pounds heavier...and I was told if I ever lost 40 pounds or more, it could move...I just didn't believe it...Anyway...I'll let you all know on Friday, have some blood samples taken...this sounds horrible but I'm crossing my fingers that it's just all in my mind..

Well, more than enough info about myself, sorry..

ZER: You're SO close to your mini goal, you can definitely get there in a week, your plan looks good, and since you're a little heavier, you know you'll tend to lose faster..

PAM: It's so good to see you back, I feel for you, I have a tight (and sometimes difficult) relationship with my dad but cannot even start to think of having to lose him one day...Just praying for you and your family, that God keeps giving you the strength to go on..

DEVON: 7 pounds are awesome! Keep it up! You'll also be an inspiration to all of us!

Everyone I'm not mentioning sorry, just too long a post...as always...will talk to you all later...

Take Care!

Hey everyone I'm hangin' in there, going to weigh on Friday. Yesterday's menu was 3 hb eggs, grilled chicken salad, and my night snack was some grilled chicken breast. So far today I've only had an orange. Someone told me to go ahead and add fruits as long as it's in the morning on an empty stomach and I wait at least half an hour to eat anything else. So, we'll see if it works or not.

Angie: I had a suspicion of pregnancy remember? My DH and I have been trying since Christmas with no luck. Maya Angelou wrote about pregnancy saying how she loved being pregnant because it's the closest you'll ever get to God because you are carrying one of his miracles. Best of luck to you!

Tina: Okay, how do they make crustless pizza? I'm very curious. Wouldn't it just be a bunch of melted cheese and toppings in a box? I'm so confused

Zer: Sounds like you've got a great plan going. I noticed too that you're almost down 100 pounds

Cat430: Congrats on the 1.2 pounds!

Cutepixy: I wouldn't worry about the weight while you were recovering...just be happy you didn't gain. Your sister coming should give you all the motivation you need to get fit!!

Gilly: I tried to go without caffeine and I did okay yesterday but today I had one cup of coffee. I think I need the "pick me up" ! Let us know how the experiment goes.

Paris: Have fun on your vacation! I usually don't worry about my WOE on vacation....life is supposed to be fun!!

Back Pamela! So sorry about your dad I'm glad you're back.

Hello everyone congrats to all the losers out there .... and to those that are struggling a bit congrats KUTGW

Angie I have seen many cases where women become pregnant with IUD's a lot, but I am not sure if theres is related to weight loss (its a question that I will start asking though just to see)

Gracie I have made bunless Pizza before using hamburger mean ..... i would flatten it out spice it up cook the hamburger in the oven once it was cooked id add the tomato sauce and toppings then toss it back into the oven to cook/melt everything and it was pretty tasty. I have made Linda's deep dish pizza but I think theres way to many fat calories in that thing for me

Well today i weighed in again even though I am not supposed to and I am down to 197 so 1.5 pounds gone since yesterday. For 2 days in a row i am doing the egg cream things and doing some cardio while at work so I don't know if its just the nice combo of the two and no crappy eating which is helping but no matter what its helping and my weight is going down

Good morning all!

I am down another .8 ounces Only about 2.6 to goal, maybe I will even get past it.

Angie ~ I pray that is what has happened and it is nothing else. Of all the things that could be going on, being pregnant would be the one I would choose.

Cutepixy ~ Congrats on the loss

Lynn ~ Did your Turbo Jam come yet?

Gracie ~ Hope you get a huge whoosh tomorrow!

to all you strugglers and to the losers, KUTGW!

Can I join in with you all here???? Pretty please with splenda on top?
I have been hovering at 205 since lets say Nov- Dec? And I am tired of it. Well actually I am sitting a 210 right now TOM is fixing to knock on my door anytime now. YUCK!!! I always go up right before. But I know the meat and eggs will get me to where I want to be. I would like to lose 30 more before DH gets home in July! So please keep your fingers crossed for me!

3-7CavWife. Of course you're welcome, we need all the support we can get!

Angie: I'm thinking and praying for you....hope everything is okay.

Cat: Hang in there, you're so close!

LynnP: Give it time, the pounds will start melting off soon enough!

Cutepixy: The pizza sounds interesting, I'm gonna have to try it.

Yesterday was a good on-plan day. Orange for breakfast, grilled chicken salad for lunch and dinner was t-bone steak with a garden salad. Tomorrow is weigh-in so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a loss!

Everyone have a great day.

Good Morning Everyone:
Thank you all for your good thoughts...Above all, I'm feeling good and staying active...so I'll accept whatever comes this way...
I wanted to go get some blood tests done tomorrow, but it'll be impossible, since I'm going to a concert with hubby, and only have a little time during the day to get everything ready...besides, whatever the results, I don't want to have it in my mind during our "date"
So it'll be until next Monday probably, but you guys don't worry about me, I feel and AM doing good...
Tomorrow is weight in day for some of us! Keeping my fingers crossed!
Hope the whoosh fairy is generous for all of us tonight.

3-7CAVWIFE: I was 205 the first time I did Atkins...dropped around 45-50 pounds...then slowly started gaining up to 178...that's when I found this place a little over a year ago...and has helped me drop 42 pounds...of which I gained during the Holidays because of lots of cheating that wasn't even worth it...I'm commited this time around, and living proof that cheats are not worth it, a pain in the %^&%^& but IT CAN BE DONE...So...

CAT: Congrats on the loss, I'll be right behind you!

Cutepixy, Gracie, Gilly Tina, Lynn, Judy, Devon and anyone I'm missing, a big hug, let's do this...Will see you all later!

Take Care...

Good morning....
I was almost finished with a long post yesterday when I hit the wrong button and lost it. And using the back arrow didn't retrieve it. I had to leave just a few minutes after that so I didn't even try to retype it.

I was DOWN 1 lb yesterday morning and am HOLDING this morning, so hopefully, it's a "real" loss that will stay lost.

Cav...And please thank your hubby for his service. We really do appreciate him....and all our service people.

Angie... Hugs... Am praying for you....

Here's a crustless pizza that looks really good (and super easy). Got this from an online friend.

Pizza for one person

I used a 2 c. Pyrex measuring cup, but only filled the cheese to the 1 cup line, that gave me room to mix everything else.

1/2 c. of mozzarella cheese
2 T. of grated Parmesan cheese
couple of grabs of sharp cheddar to take it to the one cup line
sprinkle of garlic powder, basil, and oregano
1 egg and beat this all together well with a spoon.

I spread this in a well greased corning-ware 9 inch pie plate.
Topped this with my 14 pepperoni. This is one serving per/pkg.

Baked at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes.

While cooling, I spooned out 4 T. of Ragu and nuked 40 seconds or so till hot.
I used the sauce as a dip and my oh my...........it was delicious!!!

Enjoy!!!

My estimation for the carbs is...
Cheese - 1 c. = 4 carbs
1 egg = 1 carb
1/4 c. Ragu = 4.5 carbs
Total = 9.5 Carbs

Good afternoon !!

I am happy to say all the slim jims and tic tacs are gone and I won't be buying anymore! Back to the old grind of whole foods. Have been working on empying the freezer so I can defrost. Tons of deer and moose meat left.. Ugh not sure how much more of that I can eat!!

Lynn hows the job going?? Are you still liking it?

Angie.. crossing my fingers for you that the outcome will be on that you desire. I dont know how you have the control. I would have been peeing on the stick by now to get an answer!

Gracie.. your face looks slimmer in your new photo.

Tina.. omg.. I bought a new laptop last september. I would have cried! Mine slipped out of my hand when I was sitting it down on the couch. Thank godness it wasn't that far of a fall and it was ok !

3-7CavWife- This is a wonder forum to help you stay on track and also to get support.

Paris.. yummm!! I read a thread on this site about a crustless pizza.. It looked good too and was made with cheese.. I bought the ingredients, but I have not made it yet! I am afraid I cant stop at one piece!

If anyone is interested heres the link...Thin & Crispy Pizza Crust! Easiest EVER! Pics included!

Tina: Those are BEAUTIFUL words...helped me calm down and accept whatever comes...Still haven't told anything to hubby, since I don't want to worry him, or get him all excited if it's nothing...But as you said, there's not much I can do if it is...and it'll be God's will, not an irresponsibility on my part..

Pam: I'm SOO glad you're back, you look very pretty on that pic! I guess I don't want to "know"anything for now...that doesn't take will power...maybe cowardice... I took a look at that link and got some ideas! Thanks a lot!

Judy: Really THANK YOU so much for sharing! That would be MY kind of pizza! Now you got me all excited! It looks very easy and the pictures are GREAT...I'll probably make it this Saturday...since my hubby and son always watch a movie and have pizza, and I just watch the pizza and not the movie! lol Thank you so very much for going thru the trouble just for us!

Angie!! We're always here for ya girly!

Keep up the good work guys! I love reading all your posts!

Even though I'm not suppose to weight til tomorrow, I did! I was UP, but for once I'm actually okay with it... I've been weightlifting every other day and can see things firming up! I took pics yesterday... although incredibly embarassing, but I'll post em once I have some good comparison pics in the future. I'm thinking 2-3 weeks from now if I gain the courage.
