We all can Zer.

I just heard from my mother and my parents want me in San Diego at the end of September for their 50th Wedding Anniversary! That gives me 5 months to lose some weight and surprise them and not embarass myself with all the people I will see. I can make some big changes in 5 months with m/e and regular exercising. This is just the motivation I need!

Sorry for the MIA. Busy with all kinds of things and then when I am stressed I eat and the bad ( bread) crept back in.

Motivation is -20.
Dh will go shopping later and that should give me enough choices for next week.

I will check in next week and try to stay motivated. The weather turned nasty again. I NEED SUN!!!!

Hugs everyone!

heyy everyone. congrats!! sounds like everyone's very determined and doing well!

after 9 grueling days of TOM... it's finally ended and i'm FINALLY DOWN to the 140's!!! woohoo!! just 149, but still! i'm excited. i just hope i don't bounce back up.

i've read your suggestions. and i've decided i'm going to keep a food journal (but not count calories for each thing) and also keep track of my moods and exercise each day.
i also tried the SF jello egg cream... and i think this is going to be my secret weapon. yesterday, my little sister was making rice krispie treats for the fam and i was super jealous, but then i made a SF strawberry shake and all that jealousy melted away and it was probably even better than a rice krispie treat!!

also - thanks to gracie!!!! i've put on a pedometer and am trying to get in 9000 - 10000 steps a day. it helps me soo much with stress. and i would have to imagine it's one of the things that's helped my scale to go down!

i'm hiding my scale for awhile.... or gonna try!! i hope to weigh weekly instead of daily.

Got my first ORGANIC EGGS TODAY!

Eggs are provided as part of my room and board, so it's a Big Deal for me to pay money to buy eggs, but I'm curious to see if I can get better nutrition from organic eggs, so I bought my first dozen today. Got sardines and tuna too. I'm set for the week as far as protein goes. Got some celery for fiber. Made an eggy-mayo mixture for later on, after eating a mystery-meat patty for lunch. Probably not chicken, possibly turkey or beef. Who can tell? Not I! It was all right, as mystery-meat patties go. Sometimes I find that stuff inedible. This was not that bad. So I ate it, trusting that it is protein and not too carby.

I'm satisfied. Need to drink some more water, will do eggs, maybe sardines, later on. Thinking of protein+fat and how this will nourish my cells. Fuel!!!

Oh, nice thing happened today. Someone said my fingers look long and thin! Isn't that wonderful? I can't tell, but she says she can tell I am losing weight! Awfully nice to have someone notice, as I struggle to get up off a chair and feel as fat as anything. Clumsy and fat. Awful feeling. Such a struggle!

But now I cannot stop looking at my hands. How funny we are. People!!!

Hello all...beautiful weather today. Spent the morning at the in-laws and the afternoon in the garden planting. Got a lot into the ground today! Starting the push for daily workouts and strict plan tomorrow. Also riding the motorcycle this week to save on fuel.

Hi everyone!

Sorry I've been MIA lately. . .We've all had the week off for spring break. The weather has been just gorgeous here!! I'm glad we didn't go away to someplace *warm*, b/c I would've been mad to come home and find out we could've stayed home for gorgeous weather!!

Anyway, as I've said on here countless times, I have SUCH a hard time with weekends, as they provide me with far too much kitchen access. Well, vacation is 24-7 kitchen access. So, not surprisingly, I have no good news to report.

However, tomorrow I start back to work and I'm (dare I say it?) excited to go back and be back in a routine again. Unfortunately, I have a ton of work waiting for me in the next two weeks. Third quarter grades are due tomorrow, so I'll have to spend time inputting those. Bleah. Also, I'm a special ed teacher, and springtime is a hated time in special ed. . .SOOO much paperwork to do/so many meetings with parents and the head of my dept. in order to get things ready for students for the next school year. Anyhoo, my ultimate deadline for all paperwork/parent phonecalls/meetings is in two weeks. Stress, anyone? I've got plenty to spare. . .

Of course, stress and successful on-plan behavior are two things which, historically, do not go together very well for me. Wish me luck.

I'm going to start tomorrow with coffee and an egg cream mid-morning. . .then eat lunch about 2:30. Not sure what I'll take with me to have. Prolly some burger scramble, or some egg salad, if it hasn't disappeared yet by morning (darn DH!!). I'm sticking Linda Sue's Laredo BBQ (I'm making it with pork) in the crockpot in the morning, as we'll be in a rush after school/work. . .DS#1 has baseball practice at 5:30 and DS#2 has t-ball practice at 6:30. I've got to be ready for dinner! So there's my plan. . .at least I've got one.

Congrats to all of you who have been sticking to plan.

Can you give me a boost back up into the boat? I wanna come too!!!!

I was out of town most of the weekend. Sunday morning I was DOWN 0.2 of a pound, but this morning I was UP 2 whole pounds. Needless to say, I was off plan for dinner last night. I had prime rib. I passed up the baked potato, BUT I had 2 (yes 2) slices of garlic toast AND a couple glasses of wine. At least it was a merlot which is NOT a sweet wine.

Today it's back on plan.

Gotta run. Am taking my car in for a pre-trip checkup. I know my fuel injectors need cleaning, and it's time for an oil change. I just hope nothing else turns up.

See ya later....

Hello! Wow! It's great to see everyone back and motivated. For the most part I did well this weekend, had a slip-up yesterday but I'm back in the game today! Once again, I will not weigh until Friday. I don't need to see any weekend damages! Today I'm planning M/E with some LC veggies added.

Tina: Yippee! You're getting back down very quickly. I'm glad I motivated you, now I just need to keep up the motivation myself.

Gilly: Okay, spill the recipe for the strawberry egg cream, it sounds great. I agree that if you just walk a little extra everyday you can totally change your metabolism and weight. KUTGW!

Lynn: Great to see you back. Good luck with turbo jam, sounds like fun.

Judy: Today is another day, you have to live and have fun. No regrets.

Andrea: I'm always glad (sort of!) on Monday morning because I know I'll get back into my routine. Weekends are so tough.

Zer: You can do it! Keep yourself accountable for everything you are eating and exercising. We are all here to help you!

Wenig: You can easily have those 20 pounds off by summer. Stick with us!

!!! Did you cut your hair Gracie?! It is sooo pretty!!
My weigh-ins are Friday too! So I'll see ya then!
Yeh, the walking really has changed my energy... even just in a short few days! I'll do about 30 minutes of walking and when I'm done I have all sorts of energy and want to do weight lifting, dancing, or stuff around the house. I love it! I've been keeping track of my moods and am happier after a good walk moreso than after a good meal! Intereeeesting, eh?

Strawberry Egg Cream
... my very informal recipe
Blend: 1/2 packet of SF Jell-o w/1 c hot water
Add: Splash of Cream & 2 eggs... blend again.
Add: 1 c crushed ice & blend.

I mix up the steps a lot... and experiment with different amounts of cream and Jello mix. You may wanna freestyle it too, haha. The only time I ran into a problem was when I put the ice in right after I put the Jello and hot water. I got chunks of Jello. But nothing that a little more blending time couldn't solve.

Good afternoon everyone, so great to see everyone posting! All the great info. I was up a pound today, but it was because I ate a little more than normal this past weekend. I stayed on plan except for a small salad I ate on Saturday, my treat for getting into the 120's finally. Not to worry, I have been on plan today and I will workout tonight and eat just eggs and meat.

Wenig ~ I grew up drinking homemade eggnog so I guess I just don't worry too much about it. Not that I have tried an egg cream yet...I bought the ingredients though. I might just make eggnog with the eggs, protein powder, a sprinkle of nutmeg, splenda, cream, and a spash of vanilla, whenever I get around to it. They sound great for the up and coming hot days.

Tina ~ resist those frosted flakes, they won't make you feel better Just as a cereal they aren't a great choice. You can do it.

Gilly ~ Thanks for the recipe, I think I have some SF Jell-o sitting around I haven't mixed yet ahh the possibilites. Congrats on the loss

Mommie22boys ~ so nice to see you post, sorry you have had trouble but we will help you get back on board and get moving.

Paris ~ two pieces? I tried a piece last month and it made me sick , I don't crave it so much anymore

Zer ~ You can do it, just stick with it you will be there sooner than you think.

to all the rest of you that I missed! KUTGW to you losers.

A quick hello to everyone out there everyone seems so motivated

Well I am finally able to chew again with only some small difficulties but other than those I am doing well. I am back on tract today. My sister is coming in a month and I would like to drop some more weight as we are going down to the states and getting a bunch of summer clothes . So to help me out I am doing a food diary and plugging in everything into my fit day account from food, water to my exercise. Hopefully this will help keep me accountable for my eating and my actions whether they are good or bad summer is coming so quickly and nice cute clothes are something that I want this year so I know I need to kick my self in the A** and so something about it before summer is gone and i am thinking of new years resolutions lol.

What are the egg creams that everyone is talking about??? does someone have a recipe for them

Thanks for the support. I'm eating eggs today. Fighting the urge to weigh as I'm almost sure my weight will bounce up over 410 and I don't want to see that. I know weight fluctuates. I can wait for Saturday. Well, maybe I'll do a midweek sneak peek on Wed morn. Maybe I can hold out 'til then to check.

From your lips/fingertips to god's ears. Sure would be nice to see THREEdom before the end of April. And I have enough eggs and fish to get me through April. I can do this. I can. I can.

Day 2 starting and down 1.8 since yesterday! Waking up early these days to get ready for next week and working out in the mornings. This week will be heavy fatigue until ketosis kicks in so for now I am just training myself to wake early!

Hey everyone ~ I stuck to plan yesterday...I had my coffee, my spicy pork rinds (helps me drink my water ) a diet Mt Dew or two and I ate some beef lil smokies for dinner. I exercised like crazy and this morning I was back to 129.8, I'm so excited I have been on plan today and will exercise
