hello everyone congrats to all you losers out there ... and those who the weight isn't coming off KUTGW you are all working hard and doing great

today my weight didn't move down at all, I think that TOM is coming soon I had another good day yesterday didn't cheat although I must say that I was given a very good reason to. Last night I went to go assess a new patient that i didn't know at the time was having psych issues, and everything was going well then he snapped tried to lock me in the room (easy to do given the room he was in) as i was trying to get out he pushed me then cornered me against a wall and attempted to hit and choke me before i was able to call for help and scramble away. now if that wasn't scary enough when the ER security escorted this rather large man out and off hospital property he pulled out a blade ..... man i shudder to think what would have happened if he was able to pin me in that room

But through it all I didn't give in to cheat so who knows maybe my security blanket off food is leaving lol I didnt do any emotional eating after that then I must be doing good

Good morning losers and lurkers :

I stuck to my plan and am down to 132.8, another 2.2 pounds. I think I am back to where I was before I left on vacations. Maybe I should post my weight whenever I post so I can remember where I have been .

cutepixy - Glad to hear everything ended up OK that is too scary

mac24312 - M/E should help to get those pesky pounds off, just stick with it no matter how hard it is. The first few days are the worst then it gets easier and the results are worth it.

Paris - Mexican food is my absolute fav, how do you ever get by the chips and salsa? I usually get a grilled steak fajita salad, but just can't help but eat the bowl

Speckle - Keep your chin up, you can do it! It will work you just might have to tweak it a little bit.

Gracie - Couldn't agree more on checking how much you are eating and drinking more water. I don't remember the dizzy lasting too long

Lost4days - When I first started M/E I was a little light headed but it went away fairly quickly, follow both Gracie's & Eigna's advise they are wise in the ways of M/E.

Eigna - Congrats on your loss. You will figure it out, or your body will. Whatever happened with the coconut milk? everytime I see it at the store I think of you

Chins up everyone, we can do it!!

Oh My Goodness CUTEPIXY!!!! That is so scary! Thank God for your quick thinking and getting out of there. Did they take him to jail? I hope so.

Now I'm aggravated, I weighed this morning and I'm still the same. I've walked 5 days in a row for 45 minutes, approx. 2.5 miles each day. My clothes are definitely looser but the scale is not cooperating. I'm hoping to see results soon. TOM could be the reason, I believe he's due for a visit.

Cat430: You're doing great! What is your ultimate goal? You're almost in the 120's You're gonna be a DIVA!!

Mac!

Speckle: Just stick it out, it'll eventually fall off. I think it gets harder each time we have to start over!

Good morning, everyone....

We got quite a bit of rain during the day yesterday. Sun is shining now and it's supposed to be beautiful today. 60+....so I am going to clean my balcony and set up my swing. I wish whoever lived here before me hadn't put artificial turf on the floor. It's a job to clean that after a winter. Went to the hardware store this morning and got a Kiyi brush with a handle. That should help. Hmmmmm.....do any of you even know what a Kiyi brush is? Or am I the only "old" one here?

My weight was the same this morning as yesterday. YES!! Holding is good thing, especially since I went out to eat last night AND had some meatloaf, dill pickle, & cheese at 3:30 since we weren't eating dinner until 7:30. SO...I am really happy. I had the Taco salad without the shell and one glass of Miller Lite.

Guess I'd better get my inside work done so I can get my butt out on the balcony by early afternoon.

Good Morning Everyone:

I'm Up -AGAIN- 1.2 pounds...I've been doing the fast-5 and yesterday I ate a 2 little pieces of French bread (about 1"x3") So that accounts for the weight....just thought that with all the exercise and the fasting and sacrifice I would be doing better...I can't stand to keep going up and down...So meat and eggs for me today....Saturday I ate a bunch, with a little lettuce and lost 2.3 pounds the next morning...so I'm sticking to what I did this weekend.

Cutepixie:
I'm so sorry for you but extremely glad you got out of it! No matter what you do in regards to food, but take care of yourself! You're very much appreciated in here...

Gracie: I feel for you...same thing has been happening to me since I started exercising...At least I feel good, but I KNOW how frustrating it is...The scale will start moving in it's due time, we'll just have to wait...

Cat: I haven't had any coconut cream since last Friday, I'll save it for treats...it's only 3 carbs in half a cup, but 200 cals! It's great anyway...I have like 10 cans stored in my pantry! lol

Speckle: We've all been there...and the only way we've gotten out of a stall is sticking with it...I assure you you'll get better results than if you quit....

Mac: You've done great judging by your stats! I hope you can give us your 2 cents any time you feel like it..

Paris: I was looking into the sweetzfree and some similar, and will definitely consider them before I buy any splenda...as for now I'm stuck with cheap-yucky-calorie-free-liquid-sweetener from the store... When I saw that expression from Andrea I liked it a lot too! lol "Virgin Fat" will be a new one in my vocabulary...

Tina: When you get some time off, I'm dying to know what your hubby thought of your transformation!

Everyone I'm missing, HI! a big hug, we can do this!

Will be back later...

Hi and TY for the Welcome

I am trying this for the first time today so give me some pointers on this menu k?

B-had 2 eggs and 1 hamburger patties
L-Crab and a boiled egg mix together with mayonnaise
S-Pork roast with a small salad with no dressing.
Snack-If I get hungry I will eat 2 more boiled eggs.

I want to know if I make BBQ pork with SF Barbecue Sauce can I eat that? Or do I have to eat just the boiled Pork roast?

Thanks and HUGS

Christina....Eating the SF Barbecue sauce depends on how many carbs it has and how many you allow yourself each day. There is no "rule" against it, just watch your carb counts. I've never seen a B-B-Q sauce that was worth the carbs as even the SF ones are fairly high. I think you'd be better off with a little of the Heinz 1-carb ketchup mixed with some liquid smoke. And your pork will taste MUCH better if you bake/roast it rather than boiling it. When you boil meat, so much of the taste goes into the water (hence you have stock).

Now...in case anyone needs a chuckle....and NO, it's NOT a self-portrait!!

Judy: that pic is to die for! lol and no matter the age...that would happen to me with all the weight I lost, instead of just shrinking a little, they fell! So the only way I can look nice is with a bra...

Mac: Your menu looks very nice, but I agree with Judy, you should probably skip the BBQ sauce and replace it with something else, but just IMHO...

I wanted to share this with all of you, I've been doing some research since I started eliminating the splenda and losing again..I want to replace it with something else, but I came upon tons of pages like this one:

Sucralose

Hope the information there is useful to someone...I'm certainly considering it now...

talk to you all later, Take care...

Morning!

I was up, then down the last 2 days, but I haven't weighed in yet this morning. I am still sticking with Fast-5 so I can see how my body does with it as an average. I don't want to judge whether or not it really works for me after only a few days. I do feel good, though. I feel like I spend so MUCH LESS time thinking about food. That, alone, is a benefit!

Cutepixy: So glad everything worked out alright in the end. What a scary thing to have happen at work (or anywhere, obviously). Perhaps your place of work (hospital?) needs to look into setting a standard of assessing new patients only with 2 people present or some other safeguard to prevent this kind of situation in the future.

Eigna: I tried to click on your sucralose link, but it wouldn't work. Do you think you could try again, or at least copy and paste the good part of what you wanted to share with us? Are you still trying Fast-5? I know you had said you were disappointed with a bounce up. . .did you decide it wasn't for you?

I have been doing it all week...I think today may be a challenge b/c, as usual, too much fridge access (ie. weekends) is always difficult. However, we have lots of errands to run, and it's not like I don't have housekeeping and laundry to catch up on. . .lol. THAT should be enough to keep me out of the food.

Yesterday I had some burger/spinach scramble and 10 raspberries (holy cow were they good!!) at 2:30 and then we went to my in-laws for dinner. My FIL had his knee replaced last week, so my DH wanted to bring out dinner for them. My FIL wanted CHINESE, of all things. I can't do chinese on this woe and still lose. So, I packed up a bowl of yocheese and some brie and had that. Something did, however, come over me and I had about 5 quarter-sized pieces of sesame chicken. All by 6:00. So I'm curious to see what the scale has to say about it this morning.

Judy:
LOVE the cartoon!

Well, gotta go make the boys their Saturday morning eggs and GO WEIGH IN! Then it's off to errand-land.

WCBL. . .have a great on-plan day, everyone!

Good morning everyone, Lurkers and Losers!

I ate M/E yesterday and got in an hour of exercise and am down 8 ounces to put me at 132,

Gracie ~ not sure what my ultimate goal is, some days it is what the scale says but then I think, you are nuts, you would be small, but with no shape. I would like to be in a bathing suit or a tank top and shorts and have people think "she really takes care of herself and works out" that would make me happy. . As far as weight I should be around 115 for my height, I would love to just be close to that. I love the way I feel when I exercise and I love to see the arm definition.

Christina ~ The BBQ sauce sounds yum, and I think I have the liquid smoke.

Paris ~ Thanks for the laugh, I have seen someone my own age that was a life guard and got similar shadow lines, it was too funny

LoraJR72 ~ I bought Dr. Stillmans book and I still refer to it often. I like what he had to say and have basically stuck with his plan. The only thing I have done differently is the pork rinds when I just gotta munch something.

Eigna ~ I only have trouble with the splenda when I have it in candy In my coffee it doesn't have any effect on me. I wonder if it is because it is heated, who knows??? Why cant they come up with a side-effect, like your breasts size will increase or your fat will just melt off your body.

Cutepixy ~ Congrats on your loss, you are doing great!

Have a great day everyone! Hope the whoosh fairy comes to visit you soon!
DONT GIVE UP, YOU CAN DO IT

Just a quick check-in to post my weigh-in. I am down 1.6 this morning. Yippee! Still waiting to tap into virgin fat, but any move downward is good.

Good morning....

I'm DOWN another 0.6 of a pound. I know that's not much, but when it's in the right direction, even 0.2 of a pound makes me happy.

Gotta run.....

The rising price of eggs is because the price of chicken feed has gone up so much because so much corn is being used to process ethanol instead of being used for animal feed. This is only going to get worse. Ethanol is a stupid "replacement" energy since it takes more energy to produce it than we get out of it. But, it makes some politicians look like they are doing something. Go figure.

Eggs are still the cheapest source of protein out there....and hopefully they will stay that way. There are so many ways to fix eggs that I can't imagine living without them.
