Here are my stats for the month.

Feb 1 - 442 lbs
Mar 1 - 416 lbs

April 1 -391.5 lbs

Todunlop- Thanks for starting us off for April. You are right, the six meal thing is tough if you don't have a regular schedule. Especially at work, I try to find a quiet area and sneak in those middle meals.

I'm feeling chatty:

I started my day at around 6 with some aerobic exercise (called shoveling and ice scraping) for half an hour.

no time for extra bfast (plus i didnt have any ready grrr) but I did have my daily CIB: http://www.sugarlessshop.com/2000/images/CN1.jpg

packed some leftover sausage and carrots/celery for lunch...plenty of water and a diet caffiene free soda to drink during the day

@ work now.

My numbers:

START(Nov) 276.0
12/3/07 272.6
1/4/2008 265.8
2/1/2008 259.6
3/1/2008 255.2
4/1/2008 254.2

I'm basically 6 months in on being at BCC. In my life Ive been as high as around 290...when I was younger in college my low was around 230.
I'm 6'3 and have lots of room to carry extra weight. Feels good to shed it off.
My daily supplements are a mens multi, 2 green tea pills and 1 B12 pill a day.
Last year around Aug or so I started experimenting with some metabolism boosters. Finally found this combo for my life that isnt harsh or jolting to my system...but I can definately tell it helps me.
Before lowcarb I had tried lowfat and was living that way for quite awhile. For example...eating boxes of those yummy spicy cheese nips (the low fat ones) cuz I thought I was making good choices.
Several years ago, after getting sick once I lost my desire for any steak or hamburger...and with a cholesterol check up that showed me in the 230's back then. Thats prob a good thing. Its been several years since Ive been rechecked. I need to make it a goal of mine this summer to have it done.
Around Sept of 2006 was when I first started to seriously change how I'd been eating. Adding more vegie's, getting rid of breads, cooking more for myself...I really dont think I dropped much weight though, just stopped adding. Ive never been much of an exerciser, winters suck...but in the summers I do ride my bike. A typical ride for me is about 15 miles in under an hour on the country roads up here. I would do that 1x or 2x a week when I could get away.
Like I mentioned...and you fellas have been tracking along with me now these past 6 months Ive dropped some weight. I removed even more carbs from my diet, cooked even more foods to where I MAY only eat out 1x a month. The change has not been so much of a diet as more a way of life that I can maintain for myself going fwd. I dont restrict myself to too much...I simply have no desire to have certain things anymore. I prefer and have discovered enjoy the healthier way of cooking and lifestyle a whole hell of alot more.

There is plenty of family history of diabetes, heart disease and cancer. I'm 35 yrs old. I have 2 young children that can be active along with me now. No more little babies to keep me home on the couch. I'm mentally ready to start having the life I need to stick around for these little buddies of mine for a long time.

I know the rules about no emoticons..but I didnt see a prob with posting pics. Here is one of the kids and I from 1 month ago when we were out skating:

Win the mental game dudes, the results will follow.

Up .5 pound from yeterday aan almost two for the month of April. Not good. Other than a couple of days on vacation and at Easter, I did good for the month. My goal for 5/1/08 is onederland. Definitely doable.

Everyone looks good so far.

sometimes i tell my wife i cant have some stuff because of monday weigh ins, she looks at me like im nuts

finished the first run in week 4 of c25k, i was dreading it all nite last nite and it wasnt really that bad, it was hard but not impossible

Ed thanks for the thread this month, and i hope to see some of the missing people come back and make an appearance

Randy, i also could not think of any challenges at all, came up empty

For april, i plan to complete the c25k program and start the Power 90 program with my wife, gonna also try to get a little leaner and start working on getting rid of the belly once and for all!

Great job guys.... I am off the next few days to take care of my son. I am hoping to really focus a lot of time on watching what goes in my body, and get the excercise concept in full gear!

Hey Guys I just deleted my post that took me a good 20 minutes. Dumb ass.

All time High = 256
Start 1/2/07 = 248
1/1/08 = 210
2/1/08 = 200
3/1/08 = 195
4/1/08 = 201

Not good but Im not going to dwell either. My gut is smaller than my chest 42.75"- gut 40.5". I'm probably in the best shape I've been in since I was 16 I'm 46 now. I've been sticking to plan and the exercise is in full swing. I need to lose 10 lbs by the 17th.Thats when I go see my cardiologist and I don't want to listen to him tell me I need to lose weight I KNOW I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!

Anyway I challenge those willing to accept it to lose 10 lbs in April. !st one to lose 10 gets to start the May thread the one to lose the least get to be Latrine Queen for a month. So who's in? Lets get off our ASSES and get this thing moving.

Wall pics are always welcome in camp.

April check in.....

So I just realized that the dates I had been using in this little tracker have been wrong. My start date is actually much later in Jan than I thought it was (I looked at the first post in my journal on here and the dates didn't match, whoops...) So here is the weigh in for April, with a revised start date.

1-20-2008: 315
3-10-2008: 272
3-17-2008: 268
3-24-2008: 262
3-31-2008: 261
VFZ: 253

This week loss: -1
Total Loss: 54lbs
Average lbs lost per day: 1.33 (72 days/54lbs)

With just under 2 and a half months on and that loss im pretty excited. Im hoping that with a bit more exercise this week, and a more regimented diet, that I'll be able to drop 10 more this month. I'd like to sit under 250 for when my birthday rolls around in the beginning of May.

Shiner - congrats on being down 50!

To the rest of all ya'll loosers - congrats as well. Now get back in the gym!

Breakfast time for me, then to the gym.

Afternoom Guys,

Going to make this Ricotta pie today ut instead of bacon I'm going with hot Italian sausage. I'll let you know how it comes out.

Check out this guy he's got so good bodyweight exercises for anyone interested. Ken might be what your infore

Doug I don't know if I will either but I going to give it all I have.

Got to go work up a good sweat now. This is the middle of week 6 in the belly off challenge. All things are getting easier with the exception of those dreaded pull ups and chin ups. They still pose my biggest hurdle. So I will keep at trying to get them better.
Have a great day. Ed out

I'm in on the 10 lb challenge. I was shooting for 8.5 this month, so what's another 1.5 lbs?

Ken , you might joke about speedos, but on vacation, I saw way too many men in speedo type suits. To make it worse, most of them could have used a little time in Camp Charlie.

Ed, I'll be interested to hear about your ricotta pie. Sounds good.

Hey Guys...Harley Checking in from New Orleans.

Sorry I haven't checked in lately...I caught a nasty virus on my laptop and I haven't been able to beat it. I am using Safe Mode as I type this. I guess using it at all these different hotels and sites have finally caught up with me. I was online with my IT department in Chicago for most of the day, but they were unable to beat it either. I will probably end up formatting my hard drive and starting over, but at least I am able to get most of my things off from it before I trash everything.

I didn't get a chance to post my weights from either Monday's weigh in, nor the beggining of the month, so here it goes:
Monday Weigh in.
Highest weight ever: 302
1-1-08 279.5
3-31-08 252.5
Weight Loss this week: 2.5
Weight Loss in 2008: 27.0
Goal: 210
Mini Goal: 250 by 3/31/08
4/1/08: 252

As you can all see, I didn't quite reach my mini-goal. I did see below it on a non-official weigh in day, but it didn't count.
I see that you guys are talking about a 10 lb challenge and you can count me in...I will try to get down to 242 by the end of April, so my next mini-goal is 242 by 4/30/08.

I will check in as I can (computer permitting).

Harley Out!

Evening Campers,

Well the pie was a hit. Came out looking like a quiche but it was a lot richer. The sausage helped make it into a meal. Just have to watch the portion control on this bad boy. I could have whoofed down 1/2 if I really wanted to. So its a keeper put it into the book for future indulgence.

I worked up a good sweat in todays workout think I'll just do some walking on the treadmill tomorrow. Feeling kinda whooped. So I'll take it easy and give my tired bones a little rest. Oh and my doc visit isn't till the 24th so that take a little pressure off I guess.

Speedo? LOL Now you got me thinkin. That can be the challenge for next month. Loser has to pose on the main board wearing a speedo. What do you think?

Speedo, I don't think so.LMAO

Down a lb this morning, now I just have to continue.
Sticking to the basics seems to always work best for me.
