Welcome Jim. Including myself, I think alot of us here have lost and then regained, so I know where you are coming from on that. This is a great site. There is plenty of support and motivation. Good luck.

Hey there Campers,

Welcome to Camp Jim, stick around we won't abuse to bad.

Ken you post a speedo pic your liable to get us blacklisted from the board LOL.

I had myself what I guess they call and eggcream this afternoon (my morning). Consists of a scoop of chocolate protein powder, Tbls of flaxmeal, 1/4 heavy cream, 2 raw eggs and some water. Whipped it up in the blender and drink up. I was kinda leary but it was really good. Smooth and creamy. I guess if your worried about the raw egg you could use egg beaters or the like their pasterized.

Just going to walk today give my body a little rest.

Hang in there and back away from the crap. Ed out

Jeesh Ken... I refer to myself as a Sally one time.... lol

Reminds me of the episode of MASH where Radar makes the comment how a name can "stick with a fella"

Welcome Jim!!! Now get down and do 20 push ups for thinking of going AWOL before basic training.... This thread really is a BIG help, and is nice to have a guys kinda place.... 2 quick pieces of advice, these guys have some sort of fear of smileys, do not use them under ANY circumstance... and for the love of GOD do NOT, refer to yourself as Sally, Sussie, Mary, Margaret, or any other girly name!!!!

Glad you could join us Jim. You'll like this group. We've all been in your shoes with the roller coaster of weight loss. Post often it helps!

Ken, you better go easy on S**** (I won't say it), maybe you didn't see Freddie's pics, but he used to carry a machine gun in the desert! Oh, and who you calling an ugly mutt?? You think an ugly mutt could spit out cute little guys like the ones on the left? ( I would put a smiley to show sarcasm, but don't really want to do all the pushups Ed would assign)

So I just got back from my 2.5 mile run at the gym, and was thinking how much I missed oatmeal and apples & oranges.

One day they will be back on my menu.

Hello Campers,

Sorry for being AWOL the last few days. I am back on the wagon and ready to resume LC. The good news is I haven't gained any more weight, the bad news I haven't lost any weight either. Anyway, No excuses. I'm on LC for good.

It absolutely can happen for you! That is the most amazing thing. You can lose weight and gain so much freedom.

Have patience, keep fighting and you will get there.

Great job so far.

Friday

checkin in,

worked a nite shift last nite and right when i woke up the wife wanted me to workout with her, which is a rarity, so we did the first day of Power 90, it was a cardio/abs routine, the cardio went by all right but then the abs one was crazy hard, my abs were feeling the burn

got through it and now we both have committed to finishing the 90 days of it, bad thing is (or good) i said i would finish the C25K and run 5k by the end of it

since everyone does not want me to post myself in a speedo, heres the next best thing! Me before i started Atkins, as a motivator i wrote I'm fat with a Sharpie marker on myself, took awhile to come off.

Alex, Ed, you guys always request this picture, im sorry i dont have a Hi-res version for you to print out at home

Afterboon Guys,

Going for the 350+100 challenge workout today. Heres what that consists of:
BODYWEIGHT 350
- 45 Prisoner Squats
- 40 Pushups
- 20 Jumps
- 20 Stability Leg Curls
- 20 Stability Jackknifes
- 40 Step-Ups
- 10 Pullups
- 40 Forward Lunges
- 40 Close-Grip Pushups
- 20 Inverted Rows
- 40 Squats
- 15 Chinups

BODYWEIGHT 100
- 20 Prisoner Squats
- 20 Pushups
- 20 Jumps
- 5 Chinups
- 20 Forward Lunges
- 15 Close-Grip Pushups

Suppose to finish in less than 45 minutes. Hell I'll be happy to finish.

Well I think its time for a new scale the one we have is not reliable anymore. Said I weighed 198 yesterday today 206. Eight lbs in a day I think not. Even DW was all cranked up this morning she was up 5lbs. I figured it would be a good day, with 2 visits to the library and all.
Anyone have any suggestions on a good one to get?

Hang tough this weekend. Ed out

Colo Alex, I appreciate the kind words.

todunlop, That sounds like a thorough woorkout. I could not imagine doing all that.

shiNer45, Tell us a little about the power 90. Is there a specific workout for each day?

Every one else keep up the good work.

yeah ooba, there is one DVD that has all the exercises you do each day, they are split up like this:

M:Sweat + Abs
T:Sculpt
W:Sweat + Abs
T:Sculpt
F:Sweat + Abs
S:Sculpt
S:Rest

all you need for equipment is some weights or a resistance band for the sculpt day, and just some floor space for the sweat and abs day.

the sweat (cardio) portion is about 40 mins and then 6 mins or so for abs, the sculpt is about 35 mins or so

now ive only done day one, but so far i like it and the guy on there is pretty decent, he lets you go at your own pace, and encourages you to take breaks when needed, water, etc

also if you are a machine like Ed, there is a second DVD that has a harder core version of the sweat, sculpt and abs, and after that there is the power 90 master series which again is more intense

Ken, That sounds like good work out. So, at the end of 90 days I guess you'll be doing one armed push-ups on your finger tips.

Ed, How did that work out go? What is a prisoner squat?

Thanks for all your kind words.

Glad to be in a smiley free environment. When I am King I might insist on a universal ban.

Are any of you using coconut oil? I tried it a bit, seemed to work better at the beginning. Also learned never to take it in the evening, as seems to act like caffeine.

And what do we think about too much red meat? Seems eat it more than I should.

Eveing Campers,

oobatooba workout went really well. I finished it in 28:07 not bad considering they give youup to 45 min.. Prisinor squats are where you lock your hands behind you head and do a squat.

Jim I use coconut oil in my flax muffins. Other than that I don't use it much.

Ken I promise not to make any comments about man boobs LOL oh did I put that in writing ooppps.

Later Ed out

Good Morning Fellers Rise and Shine!! Visitor's Day at Camp Charlie!!!

and I must say, if you ever want to deter the emoticon wielding visitors from camp

.... all you have to do is paste up those speedo pix!

Shiner, love your "temporary" tattoo there!

Well I desided to call Pre-Maintenance the other day - and actually up the goal weight to what it was originally - when I was in the 120s in 2007, I was getting comments on looking too bony and I realize that they were right - even if I wasn't too happy about the comments at the time.

The husband is essentially doing the same thing - keeping on an extra 10 because he doesn't want to look too old in the face area (he's 48 and very active - soccer, running, gym/weights and that seems to keep his weight in place, b**tard). Anyhoooooo, thought I'd mention it as some of you guys are close to your goal weight and well, if it is hard to maintain them, maybe it is time to re-think at some point ..

Keep up the Great Work!!! Have an Easy and Successful Week!!!

p.s. I was in touch with Mack a few months ago and he mentioned the same thing he prolly told all of you that he is very busy with work in RL and was going to take a hiatus from Camp Charlie ... I sure do miss the man!!!!
