Hey Kat!

I hope you are feeling better! I sure am, although I am in a wicked mood.

I haven't even bothered getting on the scale - I'll wait for another week or two.

Here's my plan:

E: 20 min strength 1 mile WATP interval
B: coffee, evco, hc, pp
L: burgers and mock mashed potatoes
D: egg cream

That's about it. Time to hit the road, only 3 more months of travelling to the city! I cannot wait for that to be over with!

Take care! Have a great day.

Good Wednesday Morning!

Well, I think ketosis has officially kicked in - I had a headache all day long yesterday and I'm in the bathroom every hour and waking up in the middle of the night as well.

Hopefully the headaches will go away. Otherwise, feeling pretty good. Here's today's plan:

E: 30 min. WATP intervals
B: coffee, evco, hc, pp
S: ham slices
L: burgers and mock mashed potatoes (I made enough for 3 lunches this week!)
D: kielbasa or eggs or both

Have a great day!

Kat? Where ya been? I hope everything is going well.

I'll just keep on posting...

Yesterday I had a terrible headache again and woke up feeling like crap but now that the sun is out I'm feeling better. Its amazing how the weather affects me!

Here's what I've accomplished today:

E: 30 min strength
B: coffee, yadda, yadda
L: burgers and mmp
D: salmon, shrimp and broccoli

Tomorrow I will weigh, just to see, maybe, I don't know, it depends on how I feel when I wake up.

Have a great day!

Good morning, Meg. Sorry for the silence.

I was laid off on Tuesday (Merry Friggin Christmas), so have been in a deep fog ever since. It completely knocked me on my butt, so I am scrambling to try to recover. No severence, no nothing.

I have condeded to the fact I will lose my home and everything else, so have decided after many years of thinking about it, to join the Peace Corp. I will apply today and hopefully meet with someone shortly. I've always wanted to make a difference and let's face it, in corporate world....you can't do it.

I am losing weight, so that is good. Depression seems to work well for me.

I will post more later. Now, to apply for jobs!

Hugs

Kat - OMG

I can't believe it! I'm so sorry you are going through this again. I don't really know what to say - do what you need to do. Maybe there is something locally? I can't tell you to not be depressed, because that would be a bunch of b.s. I wish there was something I could do to help, if there is ANYTHING at all, please let me know. What field are you experienced in? I don't think I've ever known.

Just keep strong and do whatever it is you have to do!

I'll keep posting daily but completely understand if you don't want to.

Let me know if I can be of any help. Good Luck!

Kat - I hope you are doing okay!

Yesterday was tough for me - at work we had pizza, triple chocolate layer cake, busken muffins, homemade cookies and cheryl & co cookies. I didn't touch one thing! Although last night while I was watching my show my daughter and bf made choco chip cookies! I had one, but that's it, I couldn't resist any longer. I need to get some sweets prepared for myself, its going to be a long couple of weeks ahead!

Here's today's plan:

E: 35 min interval WATP
B: coffee, evco, hc, pp
S: turkey slices and provolone
L: burgers and mmp
D: rib eyes

Have a great day!

Hi, Meg. Thanks for the kind words and hugs. I just have to believe the Universe is pushing me in a certain direction, so I have to hang in there and see how this all works out. I am looking at contract work for now, then be ready for Peace Corp when they want me.

I would like to say I'm LC right now, but I can't afford meat, so I am eating once a day and only what I have on hand, which is mostly crap. I'm hanging in there and all I can think of is how much of a carb hangover I'm going to have when I reinduct.

I have a background in process engineering, analysis, Six Sigma and telecom. If you hear of anything let me know. I'm ready for anything at this point.

Take care, hang in there and keep posting! I'll post as much as possible.

Hugs,
Kat

Good morning, Meg.

Another day down...the rest of my life to go! Ugh!

I will grocery shop today and load up on proteins and keep carbs out. My brother and his wife just wired me some money to help out so I can at least afford hamburger and veggies. I have an awesome family.

Thanks again for the lead yesterday but they werenKt interested. I will not give up! Also, I did submit my application Peace Corps and in about 9 months will be heading out. Until then, work my buns off, literally.

My day:
B - eggs, bacon, coffee
L - salad w/ranch
D - burger w/cheese, salad w/1000
Water, water, water

Hey Kat! Just replied to your email.

Do you belong to Sams or Costco? I ask only because I get an awesome deal on hamburger, which explains why I eat it so much! Plus they have discounted stuff early in the morning too.

So 9 months, what happens then, where do you go? I don't know anything about Peace Corps.

The last couple of days have been very challenging only because at work they keep bringing in all kinds of food, its killing me, so at night I've been eating high fat treats here, which I shouldn't do but it works for now. Tomorrow is one of our holiday luncheons with another one next Friday, hopefully there will be plenty of meat and salads!

Today:

E: 36 min. interval cardio
B: coffee, hv, pp
L: kielbasa
D: burgers w/avocados

I know I won't have time to get on tomorrow so my plan is the same for exercise and breakfast, hopefully I'll do good at lunch and if I do then I'll reward myself with an Acapulco fajita for 2 (steak, pork, shrimp, and chicken fajita style w/o the tortilla).

I hope you have a great weekend, I'll try to check in but I rarely do! I'll keep my eyes open.

Hey Kat! How are things going for you?

I hate Mondays but I really hate rainy Mondays! I did alot of cleaning over the weekend and finished up most of Santa's shopping and that was about it. Oh, I tried to take my daughter to see the lights at the zoo but couldn't find anywhere to park! That was a waste of an hour. That's about it, here's my plan for today:

E: 40 min interval cardio
B: coffee, hc, pp
L: burgers and mmp
D: cod and broccoli

Have a great day.

;hiya: Good morning, Meg. Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I am in recluse mode right now so not very communicative.

So, being unemployed definitely takes the stress oit of Christmas. No presents for anyone but my two grandbabies and they only get a small rememberance. I feel horrible about it but have no chooice.

To answer your question, the Peace Corp is a volunteer organization where you go to an impoverished country for 27 months and live with the locals and help out. Dependong on your skills you might teach, build homes and scools, help set up businesses, work in the medical field. Basically, whatever they need you do. I will have to give up everything here, but they are just things, right? I have requested South America for my continent and will ask for Peru or Bolivia in my interview.

My day:
B - coffee w/ cream
L - salad w/ranch
D - pork chop, salad or veg

Hugs!

Good Morning!

Kat - peace corps sounds like an awesome opportunity and if you are able to do it then why not. Yes, we all have things but its still hard to give them up regardless but it would be amazing to be able to do that. I hope you are doing better, I understand if you don't feel like talking!

I'll keep it to the point, here's today's plan:

E: 36 min interval cardio
B: coffee, hc, pp
L: burgers and mmp
D: chicken breast

That's it, pretty simple. Have a good day!

Good morning, Meg.

I'm doing okay. I just hate looking for work, or even worse...being out of work. Sucks.

I'm doing horrible on plan. No matter how I plan, I seem to slip. Depression drives me to eat junk...

So, I will keep on trying.

More later.

Hey Kat!

I understand where you are coming from and all I can say is I hope things get better. Try your best to take care of yourself.

Yesterday wasn't good for me food wise, I battled with some english toffee so I had a sugar overload and felt like crap. Today was much better! My plan for the weekend is to stick to meat and eggs, actually that's the plan for most of next week since I already know I'll make some bad choices on Christmas. At this point I'm maintaining and I'm okay with that for now. I'll just continue to exercise and try to make good choices.

I'm going into work early Friday and won't be around much over the weekend so this is probably all you'll hear from me until Monday morning.

Take care and try to think positive!

Happy Monday, Meg! I am home from an amazing trip to Colorado and trying to refocus.

My daughter has inspired me. She bought the Billy Blanks DVD set and i already have Billy's Boot Camp, which has collected dust since I injured my knee 2 years ago. So, I am dusting off the DVDs and getting my butt in gear as of today! I'm not sure how the knee will handle it, but I know the extra weight I have put back on isn't doing it any good. So, onward! I am hopeful that our job market will open on January 1 so I can get back to work right away. If I can just contract through this year, I am hoping to be in the Peace Corp by the end of 2009!

The holiday was wonderful and being with family is just what I needed to get my head on straight.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and will have a safe and happy New Year!

Hey Kat!

Glad to hear you had a great time! Billy Blanks is some tough workout but I'll throw in my videos every so often. I also love the Leslie Sansone's Walk At Home program, which I do everyday. I'm kicking my butt in gear as well, unfortunately today I feel like crap but I think its just a cold.

My food choices could be much better and starting right now they will be. Dinner tonight is broccoli and shrimp. I've also prepared some meatloaf for lunches and some tuna salad and have stocked up on hamburger, fish, and cauliflower!

You sound like you are completely refreshed and ready to kick butt! We'll continue to do this together!

I'll be back on in the morning to keep myself in check for the day.

Good morning and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Let's hope 2009 is a bit better, eh?

Cold and windy here in Georgia today, so staying low and avoiding the cold!

I hope you have a wonderful New Year. Here's to sticking with LC through 2009 and beyond!

Good morning, Meg. Tuesday...what a morning.

I got my morning workout when I discovered I had a broken water main under my house and had to climb under with the roaches, slugs and other critters to locate the leak, call the water company, call my property manager and then found my basement partially flooded. So, I got my "Billy Blanks Workout" climbing in mud and goo and moving boxes. I'm beat! I can't wait for my water to come back on. Hopefully before dark they will have it fixed! I'm all muddy and grimy...

Food is becoming more scarce, so I am going to have to eat carbs. I don't have anything else left. Veggies and salads are gone. Meat is gone. I'll drink tons of water though and keep up my BB workouts and take the dog for a walk every day!

It looks like you are doing good and staying on track!

B - 1 egg on toast
L - salad w/ ranch
D - top ramen noodles
snack - mmmmm, water, water, water if it ever gets turned back on!

More tomorrow!

Happy Wednesday, Meg!

Oh, it felt good to have water last night! Didn't have it until around 8:00 pm, but finally got it back on! I was getting pretty dang thirsty!

Will do my best today to limit food intake since I have to eat carbs and will do my Billy Blanks Boot Camp. Hopefully that will make up for the bad choice!

Have a great Wednesday:

B - coffee 1/2 piece toast
L - blanched green beans (woo hoo, found them in the back of the freezer!), water
D - Top Ramen, water
Exercise - Billy Blanks Basic Boot Camp ...oh, this is gonna' hurt!

Hey Kat!

Glad to hear the water is back on! As for the food, you do what you need to do. You're body probably won't notice as long as you continue to let Billy kick your butt!

Its a gray and cloudy day here, I hate that! BUT at least its not icy again. Here's my day:

E: 35 min cardio intervals
B: eggs, sausage, coffee, hc
L: 2 burgers with provolone cheese
D: cooking up some taco meat and will mix in some avocado and sour cream

That's all, got to run and pick my daughter up from school. Talk to you later!
