MEAT AND EGG, 3-5 Days or Until You Reach Goal***You Decide***MARCH 1-31 ***

This is for anyone who is considering doing meat/egg challenge You may do this for 3-5 days to get quickly into ketosis or stay on Meat and eggs until goal.

RULES FOR Meat/Egg ---READ THOROUGHLY!
Do this for 3-5 days or until you reach goal!
Eat all the meat and eggs you want, your appetite will naturally decrease in two to three days.
Protein only
Skip unnecessary fats like cream
NO Cheese
Go easy on the mayo
Skip alcohol (yes, all forms!)
Skip junk protein like pepperoni and pork rinds
Try to skip bacon and sausage--you will lose faster-- or at least keep it to 1-2 times a week
Drink diet beverages and plain coffee & tea as desired
Use artificial sweeteners as desired
No calorie counting
No cheating
Have a multi vitamin each day

No Cheating--Remember everytime you cheat you lose a weeks worth of work. It is not worth it!!!

If you have been low carbing for a long time and are having a hard time losing or if you only have a small amount to lose remember CALORIES DO COUNT so you will have better sucess choosing leaner meats and eating smaller portions. You do not have to do only lean meats but it is an important option,

This plan is not written in stone. The important thing is to find a plan that will work for you, let you lose weight, and that you can live with.

If you want the best results then eat ONLY Meat and Eggs, with just enough sugar free condiments to make it work for you, but many people have had great results with a few modifications. It is just like everything else here, modify the plan to suit your own needs. For example, cheese is not allowed but many people include it. Veggies are not allowed but many people include them. Sugar-Free Jello is not on the plan but if you feel like it will help you stay on plan, then by all mean have some.

We are not here to judge but to support and offer some tips to help you along!

Post any tips that you think might help others.

FOR THOSE ABOUT TO **ROCK** - WE SALUTE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Top of the morning to everyone who makes it in today!!

Shadow....Thanks for starting our Monthly thread. You make this so much easier than it would be if you didn't.

Cutepixy is SO right. This is the month that really matters. It's time to get going with new determination. Summer will be here before we know it.

We're due for some beautiful weather here today so I'm going to go out and see if I can find a sidewalk that isn't full of mud/water from the melt yesterday. If I can't, I'll go to Walmart and walk there. I have decided to walk at least once a day this month.

Spring is in the air....at least I'm going to pretend it is. It will be today for sure. 60* for today, but then it cools back to the 30s & 40s. But it IS getting closer....AND the sun is shining today.

Have a great day!! Stay on your plan. If you fall, get back up. We'll help!!

See ya...

Time for a chuckle:

MISSING HUSBAND

Rick was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was really
angry. She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway
that goes from 0 to 200 in less than 10 seconds, AND IT BETTER BE THERE!!"

The next morning Rick got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up,
she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift-wrapped
in the middle of the driveway.

Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway,
and brought the box back in the house.

She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.

Rick has been missing since Friday....Please pray for him.

I'm hopping on here too. I was also thinking about doing a couple days meat/eggs starting 3/3. Is everyone planning on 3-5 days for each week and then lc rest of week during the month of March? I feel I need to do this to get me out of a stall. I enjoy so many of items that have been posted lately and probably consuming more calories than I need. Not gaining or losing. Staying same for past couple weeks.

I bought the Total gym and have yet to figure it all out. I need to take the time and just do it! I am hoping I can firm and tone this flabby body of mine, God knows I have my work cut out for me!!!!!

I wish you all a great and wonderful week. Thank you Shadowzip for the new thread! Have a Super Sunday ladies!

Congrats to the losers!!

Hugs to those struggling (like me)....

Hang in there....this WOE does work. We just need to work our plan. I have been doing some bouncing lately. Just up and down the same 5 lbs.

I REALLY need to get serious or it's gonna be too late. Once they bury you...it's too late!!

lynnp: I think someone said you did M/E for 100 days? Did you lose better on M/E than with LC? Did they weight come back when you added veggies? Did you do a lower fat & lower calorie when you did M/E?

My first week of M/E I did very strict and dropped 6 lbs.
The next week I ate M/E only except last wednesday I had one of Cleo's Cauliflower Bread sticks and gained 3 lbs. Yesterday (Saturday) I had a chef salad and M/E until then, and gained another 2 pounds... I am not sure why....
I don't want to not be able to eat veggies...
I have not been doing low fat meats but our beef is pretty lean (we raise our own) and that is what I eat most.

Someone mention that menopause could be the culprit but if it is then this is the first signs I have had...I am almost 48 now...

If you or anyone has an input please feel free to speak up.

I exercise 5 days a week and drink over 100 oz water a day....

Hi Karen...I did do m/e for over 100 days and lost WAYYYYYYYYY better than I ever did on LC and felt much better too. The weight didn't come back from veggies...it came back from eating total crap and going insane with eating crap for a year after an emotional trauma that sent me into a tail spin. Until that point, I was maintaining great and having no problem with a meal off plan here or there. the problem came when it was only a meal on plan here and there and then never at all! I found that I averaged 1/2 pound off daily, but lost more inches than anything. I just kept shrinking...it was awesome. I did yoga each day and that helped keep me tight and I stayed around 1000-1200 calories a day. I never counted fat, just calories and kept carbs aroung 10/day. I hope this helps.

Thanks lynnp,

That does help, I just wonder why I am gaining back what I lost... can it be possible that I might have the weight going up and down but maybe still losing inches??? I never took measurements. My pants are still loose....

Hello March! That was my quickest February on record Must have been all the snow.

I can't wait for Spring!! I am really tired of the snow. I have banished my winter coat to the back of the closet, I am in denial It is so nice to see all the pastel colors when I am out shopping, it makes me think of flowers, I just can't wait.

I am back on track today with strict M/E for the week with maybe a small salad once this week. I am also getting back to my exercising six out of seven days, because I want to look better in my summer clothes. My DH is planning our summer vacation and it is getting me motivated to ditch some pounds so I look better in a bathing suit.

KUTGW to all you losers, you are so great
to all the 3-5 pound bouncers like me. DON'T GIVE UP WE CAN DO THIS!!!

Happy March

I'm still here and still bouncing up and down the same few pounds too. I am at least exercising 4-5 days per week. My jeans are loose! That's always a good motivation. I'm going to try and be very strict this week and see what happens. So far today I've had 3 boiled eggs for breakfast. I also need to really focus on the water. I've seemed to only be getting in 4 glasses a day. So, I hope to hop on board again to the losers train!

Let's all have a great week!

Good morning, everyone....

I was DOWN just 0.2 of a pound this morning. Better than UP, but not nearly enough gone.
These tiny increments just aren't doing it....especially when I add in the bouncing UP and DOWN.

I need to be more strict. Have been eating too much and have been having some
Neufchatel cheese w/SF jam as a treat WAY too often. That is stopping as of now.

I need to get serious and stay that way. Congrats to anyone who has lost...
Hugs to those needing one....... I need one.
I guess I need a kick in the butt too....

Have a good day...and work your plan...whatever it may be.

Good Monday morning everyone!

I'm not posting my weight today since I fell off the wagon the entire weekend instead of just yesterday for my birthday, but everything was wonderful! My hubby bought me a nice bike and we used it for over 2 hours on Saturday, He
