Good Morning!
Good morning ladies! I hope the week has been good to each and everyone of you!
I hit the 130s FINALLY.....139 to be exact. I was more than thrilled as I was as high as 146 last week. I took the newest member of our household for a long walk yesterday...Louie enjoyed himself and man oh man did it feel good. If anything I think that is why I am back in the 130s today! I got my hair cut and colored.....told Robin to do what she wanted to and that she did......she took 4 inches off in places. Told me the cut would make me look thinner.....still getting used to it as it hasn't been this short in years! She told me I didn't need to hide in so much hair anymore.....It is different but will be great for the warmer weather...as they say the difference between a good haircut and a bad one is about 2 weeks! ![]() As Eigna said.....once you get close to goal, the pounds are all the more harder coming off. I have been struggling big time to get to goal.....but have learned that patience is the key! Keep up the great work ladies. Summer is right around the corner and so is a thinner you! Believe in yourself and the sky is the limit!

Good morning everyone...last day before vacation.
This morning I talked so nice to my scale and even cleaned his little rubber feet of any lint (maybe it would help to take off a few extra ounces ) and wouldn't you know it I was down 8 ounces. I am very excited, not exactly to where I wanted but I feel great. I have been exercising and it is showing which makes me much more happy than the scale. Has anyone ever frozen a whole unpeeled egg before? Wenig - Good to see you back , I have missed your posts as well.Tina- Sorry about your critter situation Browneyez- congrats on 139 I can relate to just getting into a group of tens can be so awesome. I would like to get there before the end the month, not sure if I will make it but I will do my best Eigna - congrats on your loss and thanks for your support, it can be so frustrating to feel so close yet so far from where I want to be But like Browneyez said, I will be patient ![]() Paris - Congrats on the loss ![]() Cutepixy - Awesome willpower, I think I would have caved ![]() Have a great day everyone. WE CAN DO THIS!!!

Hi Everyone, I'd like to join and lose serious weight with you.
![]() I'm a 39 year old female. I orginally did Atkins starting December 03'. I went from 209lbs to 120. This past year I've regained (and them some) due to Fertility meds (hormones). I started back this Monday at 217lbs and today I'm 214. I'd like to take the meat and egg challenge but started late; hoping there will be a new one for April? I cooked an English Roast Beef in the crockpot eariler this week and have some of that each day for lunch. It's very plain tasting but that's my punishment for regaining. For dinner I either have a grilled hamburger with pieces of blue cheese mixed in it meat or baked Cod. I've been eating the hard boiled eggs from Easter; mixing it with Hellmans mayo and a piece of celery. Is the mayo and celery ok to have; or is this strickly only meat and eggs with no condiments? I have a job interview tomorrow and feeling alittle uncomfortable about the way I look and the bigger sizes of clothes that I bought last night for the interview. I just hate not having the confidence that I use to have. I'd like to join to be apart of the great changes we will all do for ourselves. ![]() |

I'm back! I ended up having a sinus infection along with an eye infection - GGRRRRR! Doc prescribed a Z-Pack and a steroid eye drop. Still not feeling 100% but hopefully I'm on the mend. I weighed this morning and I'm down 5 pounds from Monday but I'm not too excited because Monday I was way up. The last 3 days I have been very strict M/E with a little added LC veggies. Being sick actually made it easier because I wasn't very hungry! I'm sure as soon as I feel better my appetite will return
![]() Angie: Hang in there, one way to look at it is you're only 4.1 pounds away from being in the 130's!!!! I would kill to be in the 130's, haven't seen those since 9th grade! Kim: You are my hero You always have such a great attitude and such willpower. KUTGW!Judy: Yippee on the loss! I'm trying to cut out any treats for the next few weeks to jump-start some losses again. That hot chocolate does sound yummy! Cat430: Have fun on your trip, I'm sure you're going to look gorgeous! Tina: I was so excited to see you back! If you have time please post some "before/after" pics of your surgery. I would love to do that but I don't think I would have the cash for it. We had an "outbreak" last year at my DS's school and luckily he didn't get it but I was totally freaked out! Wenig: You're doing great, you're close to 20 pounds gone! Cutepixy: Onedureland here you come! Gilly: You'll be in the 140's in no time, don't give up. Anyone else that I'm missing let's all re-commit and get this weight off FOREVER!!!!!

Good morning, everyone~~
We had a few sprinkles of rain this morning. Supposed to get some more later today and it might turn to snow sprinkles by morning. We're not supposed to get enough to accumulate though. I hope they are right. I am sick of cold/yucky weather. ![]() I was DOWN just 0.4 of a pound this morning...but it was DOWN!! ![]() My menu for today will be: Protein Shake for lunch; Hot Chocolate for a mid-afternoon treat; Ribeye steak and a small salad for dinner. Gotta run.... ![]() .

Tina: Okay, I finally figured out how to look at your pics. WOW! What a big difference. It looks
like it hurt alot - was it very painful? Also, if you don't mind, you can PM me, but in a ballpark how much would all that cost? Congrats, you look awesome! Last edited by Gracie514 : 03-27-2008 at 11:32 AM. |

I'm SOO dissapointed, as I was UP 2.4 pounds today...I ate 2 bunless cheeseburgers from McDonalds yesterday at 1 pm, I did not expect such a big gain! Waahh!
Sorry everyone for the whining, I just HATE it when this happens...when I was just low carbing..I could eat 3 bunless DOUBLE Cheeseburgers and not gain the next day. Now, I'm gaining EVEN if its just low carb...I have to do some research and start getting my body used to eating a little closer to normal...One other thing I'm going to do, is when I get back from Puerto Vallarta I'll do a month or so of low or almost no fat, but with healthy carbs (oatmeal, low carb bread, fruits, etc) and then come back to low carb....see if that jump starts anything...All this happened even with 1hr exercise and drinking a diuretic to drain any water I might have retained because of the sodium...Well...today is a new day, I only did 45 minutes on the treadmill, had a shake for breaky, and the next 2 meals will be eggs in some way or the other...Sorry everyone for rambling, I just get so down when this happens...I don't complain when I really deserve to gain, but this I can't deal with. Thanks everyone for your encouraging words, but I need to correct a misunderstanding, I WAS 134 back in December, but I started gaining and letting myself go a little bit, and I'm now always in the low 140s...today I am 146.7! ![]() Anyway...I won't give up....Will talk to you all later when I can be better company...Sorry again..

2.4 pounds is to much. What else did you eat yeasterday and the day before? Ok bare with me on this one. I am no expert just thinking. You said that you are cutting down, way down and as you know your body will get used to it. Then you feed it a bigger portion and your body goes .Sometime we get so wrapped up and it does not take much to down spiral in the mental fight wth weight loss. Keep it up. Go with the flow and you will get to your result. I like the idea of going to healthy carbs for a while. As long as you keep it low fat you should be able to loose. It worked for me before our little vacation. I started out with stomach troubles and switched to yogurt, berries, seeds and low carb bread. Unfortunatly I had not as much energy as on low carb but I still lost ( slow) Good Luck and we will be here no matter what. Gracie514 Thank you... I do not see it that way for some odd reason. Hope you are feeling better soon. Madger Glad to have you here!Cat430 Thank you! 8 ounces is 8 ounces. ![]() Froze an cooked egg once ( school experiment) once thawd it taste nasty and crumbles. Hello to everyone I missed.... ![]() |

Poor Angie!!!!
Angie.......I feel for you and big time. You poor thing! I am more than sure the sodium was the culprit. Drink plenty of water to flush out your system and tomorrow will be a better day!
You have been a big inspiration to me. Remember you are human. I go off the diet twice a month as it keeps me true to plan. I have let myself go and realized I was only hurting myself! You can do this as you have proven just that. Unfortunately we will ALWAYS struggle, it is a part of life.....Believe in Angie, throw the discouragement aside and concentrate on losing again......YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!! Tina-I checked out your pics and will have to agree with Gracie....it looks painful. We had a mom at school that had it done a few months ago and said if she had to do it over again...she would not! Big difference for you and I am more than sure you feel sooooooooooooooo much better! I work tonight and am less than thrilled....crappy weather and cold here. Hoping for an early night! Here's wishing you a lovely Thursday.....take care one and all! |

Thanks ladies for all the support, I knew I could count on you all...Sorry again for the "*****ing episode" LOL I'm over it now, as I said I exercised and will just keep on trying...
About what I ate yesterday, just to give you all an idea, it was: scrambled eggs in the morning with 2 ounces of Turkey sausage and 1 teaspoon Light Sour cream, a cinnamon tea with 1 tsp cream. for lunch it was the 2cheeseburgers and diet coke. dinner was 1 can tuna with 1 tsp mayo and diced onion. after that I had 6 meatballs because I just felt like eating something... Also had my 64 ounces of water and 2 cups of coffee... So yes....I can see I over ate...I'm thinking the ketchup on the cheese burgers did it... Oh Well....So far, so good today, still on plan, as I said...a shake for breakfast and eggs for lunch and dinner...Will let you all know how it goes tomorrow... Thanks again, you're all great! |

Good morning everyone I hope you all are having a good day
congrats to all you losers out there and those that are struggling KUTGW your all doing awesome ![]() Madger welcome to our little group you'll get tons of help and support from all the ladies here Eigna I totally feel for you a 2 pound gain when your not eating on plan is never nice .... OK i think id toss my scale in a fit lol but thats me I hope the whoosh fairy is with you tomorrow when you check in and maybe you and your scale will be best friends I know what you mean about eating good carbs. when the hot part of summer comes I will be doing the same thing eating healthy carbs mostly from fruits and veggies as its way to hot in my apartment to cook I did that last summer and i really didn't gain from doing that so who knows maybe this summer i wont suffer from it either. I also think its healthy and good for out bodies to switch slowly from low carb to a healthy carb.Tina i love your pics I always swore once i got down to 160 and was able to maintain it for a few years (OK 2 years) that I would go for a tummy tuck, I have heard its hell on earth and the worse pain ever so I know that the ride at times may not be worth it. did you have any complications from your surgery??? you look great ![]() Browneyes wow 130's you must be so proud of yourself your looking awesome and i bet the new hair cut looks awesome on you Gracie I hope your feeling better soon Well today I made it to 199.5 yeahhhhhhhhh back in the 100's again. my scale and I are talking ever so nicely to one another well last night I finally found the extra little something that i needed in order to keep me straight. My sister is coming for the may long weekend (its mid May) and I am determined to be smaller then her for some of you you might remember me saying last summer that i didn't want to be the fat sister anymore well I still don't sooooooooo I am now more determined then ever to cut the weight. To some this might sound petty but for me I just need that extra push .... OK and we are going on a clothes shopping spree that thought helps with losing weight to lol got to get some nice summer clothes that don't look like a MooMoo

Can't win. ![]() My menu for today will be: Lunch: Protein Shake Snack: Hot Chocolate Dinner: Meatloaf & Green Beans w/butter OR a small lettuce/radish/celery salad w/Ranch. Good morning everyone!
Thanks again for your words... Well, I'm still not sure what's wrong... Yesterday's menus was this EXACTLY: 3carb protein shake for breakfast Exercise 1 cup of coffee (1tsp cream, splenda) 3 HB eggs with 1 tsp margarine, at 2:30 pm for lunch a Snack at 6:30pm was a cup of coffee and dinner at 8pm was another 3 HB eggs with diced onions and 1 tbsp mayo. A big cup of Cinnamon tea with a little splenda at around 9:30pm and THAT WAS IT....went to bed almost at 12... And you all know how much I lost? 0.2 of a pound.. I'm 146.5! ![]() I'm not sure if I should skip the exercise today and see what happens...I might also skip a meal... Anyways....Eventually the scale will start going downwards again...It's just very frustrating...I'll let you all know what happens tomorrow.. Congrats Judy for your loss, I envy you!!! Send that fairy my way! Cutepixi: You're a real sweetheart, Congrats on being back to ONEderland! Tina: I agree with everyone else, you look SOO great! I have to start a piggy bank in order to be able to improve myself in a few years after I'm done having more children... Wenig: Thanks for the tips and KUTGW! you've been doing very good, and stubborn or not, WE WILL make it! Everyone I'm missing, sorry, you know you're all appreciated, A big hug! See you all later.... |

Hooray for Friday!I can happily report my scale was down another 2 pounds this morning! But, like I said before I am basically losing what I had gained back. It's been a real struggle since quitting smoking. I seem to replace nicotine with sweets Oh well, I'll will try my best to get this off forever!Kim: Please oh please show us a pic of your new "do". I'll bet it looks great. I envy you being off for the summer. Angie: I hope you're doing better today. I know I can wake up in a great mood and then if the scale is ugly my whole mood changes. I agree though you need to start slowly adding in more veggies, fruits, and good carbs. You need to stoke your metabolism. Judy: Congrats on the loss! Cutepixy: ONEDERLAND - WOO HOO! You go girlie! Tina: Keep working your plan and the pounds will melt off again. Do you also crave sweets now that you don't smoke? Hi's to Wenig, Aimee, Deb, Lynnp, Shadowzip, Cat430, Madger, and anyone I am missing.Let's on stay on plan for the weekend! |
