oh my god!!! this weather just makes me SO much MORE excited about getting this weight off!! i babysat for some sick kids on monday and caught whatever they had. i definitely turned to the wrong foods (lots of carbs) and am up again w/weight. today is the first day this week that i've felt better and i'm back on plan.
this morning, i bought one of those glass starbucks drinks that you can get at the grocery store, gave the contents to my bro and rinsed it out well. inside it i put: 1 raw egg 1 TB of SF chocolate flavor 1 TB of cream 1 TB of Splenda 1 drop of peppermint extract and filled the rest with coffee. shook it up & put it in the fridge. oh. my. god. i think this will have to be something i do every morning!! it's like having dessert for breakfast!! I LOVE IT! i hope the peppermint extract is okay though??? i don't use a lot at all! but, it is made of alcohol... so i don't know if this is acceptable? or if it will cause me to stall? if anyone knows, please fill me in. i know i could go w/o it, but its sooo goood! |

Hi girls. I am trying to get back on track. I have been so sick. I have been having problems with my jaw. I had an impacted wisdom tooth removed and my jaw ans ear got infected. The infection is in my inner ear now. I swear it seams like the world is spinning one way ans I'm spinning the other.
If I move too quickly I get dizzy or nauseous. I'm getting better though. I went to the doctor today and I'm only up 6 pounds. I'm surprised since I've been limited on what I can eat. Pretty much nothing that has to be chewed. My blood pressure was high also. I'm just ready to get back to work. I just hate to go another summer FAT!! It was 74 degrees here today and all I could think about was my fat thighs in shorts and my huge arms in a tank top. Ugh. I'm really ready to try this. Back to my chickens and eggs, with a little romain. I'll try to catch up with everyones post later. I'm off to bed for now.

Morning ladies.
Thank you cat and Wenig. I do feel better. Congrats on your loss Cat. I weighed at my Mom's house yesterday before I went to the doctor and was 220.5 and at the doctors i was 221. This morning I was 219.8 on my scale so they are all pretty close. I'm gonna just go with my scale. I'm starting at 219.8. I have an eye appointment today. I'm sure my eyes are the culprit for my migraines. I guess I'll find out when i get there. So starting back fresh today. I'm already drinking my water. I just had my nails done and they are too long. I can not type without hitting the wrong keys. LOL I've spent 10 minutes fixing the mistakes. Well hope everyone has a great day! TTYL ![]() |

I just found this site. I am going to try the meat and eggs to jumpstart my LC diet. I have some salad greens in the frig that I will use up this weekend and ease into ME when it's gone. I think I will buy some of the flavored colas such as Dr. Pepper to help with the carb cravings. I love the diet Pepsi wild cherry and that seems to take the edge off the cravings in the evenings. Also I have just discovered (from reading other streams on this site) about coconut oil stopping cravings, too. I got the co**** oil from the health food store and mixed it with my coffee. It works, no craving from breaky to lunch.

Hi everyone,
I just stopped in for a quick minute. Busy Friday for me. I am on a higher carb day today for my carb cycling I am trying. I felt really guilt eating oatmeal for breakfast. ![]() I really hope this helps my metabolism and doesn't hinder it any farther than it already is... ![]() I was very good for me low carb days yesterday and the day before. It was mainly meat and eggs. I think I am more comfortable eating mostly meat so I know I am not cheating and eating too many carbs. I need to get out of that mentality.... Hope everyone has a good week-end. I will be checking in on you.... ![]()

Morning all.
newbies! Jennifer! Feel better very soon.Someone called in so I am filling in at work today and will have Monday off. Going to take this as an opportunity to get myself to start exercising. Have lots of work to do in the garden too, but will make an effort to do yoga or use my rebounder daily starting this weekend. Should really get things moving in a downward way. Really helped my melting last time.! |

Yesterday was another Friday in Lent...which is always hard for me. I was out and about all day and ate a Fish Sandwich at Burger King. Ate the bun too!! But, no fries or soda, so it could have been worse. I bounced back UP the 0.4 of a pound I lost...guess it could have been worse if I'd had fries and a drink...so I won't beat myself up. Fridays in Lent are hard for me.
Today will be on plan...and hopefully that 0.4 of a pound will be back off in no time. Busy day today....WCBL

OMG! I don't know what i did, but I was down to 213.8 this morning! 6 POUNDS! I can't believe it! I was so shocked I had my husband get on the scale to check it. I still didn't believe it so I went to my Mom's house, she has a doctors scale and I was the same! I am ecstatic! I had a shake for breakfast, a burger from Hardees, (just the meat, mayo and a piece of lettuce) for lunch and then another shake for dinner. I wasn't really hungry today i think it was all of the water I drank. Oh and NO DIET MOUNTAIN DEW!
I'm trying to go without it. if i have it I do not drink water. I am going on vacation in June, to travel across America!! I refuse to be this big and out of shape when I go. I hope to lose another 40 pounds before I go. Congrats to all the losers today. Judy and Lynn, I know we can do this. Today is a new day. I'm going to start back exercising to. I'm ready for a change. Last edited by MyCarolinagirls; 03-15-2008 at 09:39 AM.. |

Put cooked chicken in a food processor until finely chopped (minced)....Put it in a pan....add some canned chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add a little cream. YUMMO....you can just drink this if the chicken is chopped fine. You can do a lot of different meat soups then put them in a food processor or blender and make a drinkable soup out of it. No chewing needed, but you'll be getting plenty of protein. Switched off with protein shakes and you shouldn't get too bored.

Deb, Thank you! don't beat yourself up. I've been off plan too and eating like a pig. I swear I'm either on plan strict or binging everyday. I am trying to eat just when I'm hungry and cut out all of the soda I was drinking. So far it is helping me. I have drank so much water today my eyeballs are floating. lol You can do this, you have before. We will look great in shorts this summer!
![]() Pixie~ Oh I feel so sorry for you. I just went threw the same thing. I felt like a zombie on those pills and I swear i slept all day. I was taking motrin 800 and Tylox and I started to swell so bad in my feet and legs i couldn't walk. I feel so much better now that I'm off of all of those pills. I hope you get better soon. I drank all of my water today. I only had about 4 oz of diet soda. I also had 2 shakes and about 8oz of ribeye w/A1. I hope I didn't overdo it with the salt. Well I'm off to bed! Here's for the Whoosh fairy!!! ![]() |

May I join in? I've been stalled the past week or so....need a good shake recipe too!
hi ladies...I've just spent my Sunday morning reading all the posts...and really enjoyed all the post! I did induction 2 weeks ago and lost only about 3..(I don't have that much to lost altogether...about 15 or 16 for mini goal) so I know it'll be slow...I am starting M/E today and will try to go 4 or 5 days...I'm pretty sure that is all I can do ...but I have an upcoming vacation 4/7 and need to feel better in my bathing suits, etc... so thankful for these boards... Also, does any use "Muscle Milk" protein drink? I have some in my pantry and wondering if they're ok...or please direct me to a great shake recipe. thanks, so much BETH

Welcome AlphaBeth Judy is our resident recipe queen so here are a couple links to her previous posts
MEAT AND EGG, 3-5 Days or Until You Reach Goal***You Decide***MARCH 1-31 *** MEAT AND EGG, 3-5 Days or Until You Reach Goal***You Decide***MARCH 1-31 *** Check the carb count on your muscle milk. The Muscle milk I looked up has way too many carbs. You want a protein powder with 0-2 carbs per serving. Eas designer whey, or a whey protein isolate, or Jay Robb protein powder( although this one is very expensive) Good Luck. we are glad to have you. |

Congrats, Jennifer....Good job. Do keep your LC supplies on hand. It's dangerous to run out, that's for sure. ![]() Beth...The best way to check if any food (or drink) is OK is to check the carb content. What Shadow said is so true....The shakes we want run between 0 and 4 grams of carbs. I wouldn't go for one with more than 4 at the most. Some of them have LOTS of carbs and are meant for HIGH carb people. The original Creamy Milk Chocolate Slim Fast ones have 40 grams of carbs each!! So be sure to check out anything you aren't absolutely sure of. Here's a good place to check different things. Calorie Counter Database - Free Online Diet Program Just put the food in the "search" box (near the top) that you are interested in and you will get all the info you need. This is great for fast-food places too. You'll be amazed how many carbs are in so-called "healthy" fast foods. ![]() The 2 posts Shadow was referring to are in this thread. The one about deviled eggs is post #63 on page 3 and the one about shakes is post #84....also on page 3. I hope they help. Congrats to all the losers....and newbies...I was DOWN 1 lb this morning!! ![]() Got a busy, on-plan day planned. See ya all later!! ![]() Last edited by Parisfox; 03-16-2008 at 09:32 AM.. |
