WOE: Just trying to cut down on my carb intake
Start Date: Seems like I have never stopped dieting
OK First Id like to say congrats to all those that have lost ..... and to those that lost our way and have found the path again we can do this everyone KUTGW

Well I totally blew it over the weekend and Now today its the 3rd of march and in my slightly weird way of thinking there is now officially 4 weeks till April and sooooooooo I am now going to try and do it 4 weeks straight of M/E and see how I am at the end of the month. I will weigh in after TOM (only cause my cheat over the weekend and TOM is nearing its time so the middle of the month looks perfect)

To help me out in my journey here are some of my March goals:
1. I will weigh 185-190 by April 1st
2. I will do my exercising anytime that I am at work for at least 30 min
3. I will eat no more than 20 carbs a day ..... this is more so for times that i will want something a bit more or a salad.
4. I will drink all my water (min 2L a day) and take my multivitamins every day

Anyone else out there have goals for March?????

Well, did not do as well as intended today. Weather was really beautiful here today. 70 degrees after such cold weather. Hubby, sister and I went to caves for a short hike and stopped at Wendy's. So had a side salad with the meat from a Jr. cheeseburger deluxe.
Breakfast was ok, and dinner was on plan.
Do you think Almond Breeze(unsweetened) would be ok? My h has been using only whites of eggs past couple days and I saved yolks. Mixed them with Almond Breeze and sweetener with vanilla and baked as custard. The Almond Breeze is only 40 calories a cup and 2 carbs with 1 gram of fiber. 1 net gram a cup.

Hi guys!! Sorry I've been MIA. . .we had new carpeting installed in our office/playroom, so the computer was disconnected until just this very moment.

Anyway, I'm back again for another month. I feel like this is the week where I finally make some headway on this weight. I've had enough of this cycling back and forth over the same 3 pounds. Yuck!

JA: I use the Almond Breeze when I make my protein shakes. i just can't stand using water to make them, and heavy cream does a number on my stomach when I use it for shakes. I use about a 1/2 cup per shake (along with 1/4 cup egg subsutitute, 2 Tbls half & half, my protein powder and maybe a 1/2 tsp cocoa powder and some DaVinci's, and some ice to make it like a Frosty )

Actually, I have been using the shakes more often lately. I know they're not on the M/E plan, but I think I'm going to keep them and get rid of some of the other "goodies" that I really don't need.

Well, that's all for now. Best of luck, all!!!

Andrea =)

Ok, so today was a disaster. Had Indian lunch which turned out to be...vegetarian.

Anyway, tomorrow, M/E starts!

I did well with exercise and M&E yesterday, but had a diet 7up/vodka with my mom.
I'm still at 153, but not fluctuating up.

Hey cutepixie!! I have very similar March goals! And a mini-goal of 145 for St.Pat's --but that's if I lose .5lbs a day, sooo I don't know if that's gonna happen! Otherwise, 145 by the end of March will still make me very happy.

Hey Everyone!

Cutepixy, just like you I woke up yesterday and realized it was already March and I am not working hard enough to achieve my goals. So, that being said yesterday I stuck total M/E and today so far I've had 3 hard boiled eggs for breakfast. I also got in my t-tapp workout last night. My goals for March are pretty much the same as everyone else. I want to keep my carbs to under 20/day, drink LOTS of water, exercise, and try to get a decent amount of sleep each night. I'd really like to lose 10 pounds this month. ONLY 4 WEEKS TIL APRIL - GGRRRRRR! Next thing ya know, it's time for shorts, bathing suits, tank tops - UUGGGHHHH!
So, here's to us achieving our goals - "CHEERS" !!!!!!

I was DOWN 1.2 lbs this morning.

I have another on-plan day planned. I'll have the usual shake for lunch....and I thawed out some dark turkey meat and I'll have that with a salad for dinner. That should be OK. The pork sirloin I had last night was so tasty. I braised it in CO with chopped garlic, then made a cream sauce with the skillet drippings, 1/3 cup heavy cream and 2 Tbsp. sour cream and some spices. It was YUMMY...

Sounds like everyone is recommitting to this WOL.

Congrats to any losers...

Hugs to the rest of us!!

And to any newbies!!

Have a great on-plan day today!! See ya later....

Saw this online. It speaks to me.

No one will ever do a better job of creating your future than you -- so don't model your decisions on someone else's.
Your vision of the future has to come from inside you. You can't tread in someone else's footprints, no matter how deep
those footprints might be. Stop looking at what other people are doing -- decide what you want, and then stand firm.
Pay no attention to what others are doing. You are your own person, with your own destiny.

Hello ladies (and any gents that may be out there) congrats to all you losers and KUTGW everyone we can do this

OK so first day down and it went by with out any problems. In order to help with the cravings I allowed myself some carbs in the way of strawberries and lettuce. once the first few days are done I will go to strict M/E. I went to the gym at work and had an awesome workout and felt great afterwords .... though I must say exercising at 3am leaves something to be desired lol today I checked my ketone's just to see what they were as i really wasn't expecting anything but wow to my surprise I had them on day 2 of low carbing.
I am hoping that I wont get stressed out over the next little while and sabotage myself since the nurses in the province that i work are in negotiations for wages and not looking to good right now... and we vote to strike next week. I hope to god that I wont let this stress get to me and find the biggest chocolate cake and drown my fears into it uggggggggg why couldn't I find something other than food to comfort myself lol

Good evening everyone! I was on plan yesterday and today. I did my new Firm tape yesterday and I was soooo very sore today I could hardly move, so much for exercising tonight I can barely make it into bed
Not sure what the scale will tell me tomorrow, I am sure that I am holding on to a few pounds because of the exercising. I just hate how that works , you do what is good for you, but the scale just isn't very nice . I would rather lose inches though.

Congrats to all you losers, KUTGW you are awesome

to all the strugglers, don't give up!

Morning everyone!! We have a lot of ice this morning, so pretty much all of the schools in my county are closed or delayed today. Mine is closed, so here I am.

Well, yesterday I was down .2. . .not surprised, as I wasn't as strict as I should have been. I have such trouble with cravings in the evenings. I'll just have to figure it out.

I was low-carb yesterday, though not very strict to M/E. Here's what I had:

B: coffee w/ h&h
S: 1/4 cup yocheese w/a dribble of h&h and 3 chopped strawberries
L: chicken salad on 2 oopsies, 1 HB egg
S: 1 HB egg
D: 4 mini-quiches (I make them cupcake size--4 of them = 1 egg), 1 spoonful of full-fat cottage cheese
S: 1/4 cup yocheese like the morning, except only 2 strawberries

This morning I am down 2.2 pounds! Very exciting!

As some of you may remember, I have been cycling through the same 3 pounds for a couple of months now. I'll be strict for a few days, fall off the wagon a little, and spend the rest of the week getting back to where I was. All my own fault. Well, I had sort of an "Aha" moment this weekend when I went back to look at my daily weights over the past 2 months. I found that I usually sabotage myself on Friday or Saturdays, and I start my Sunday or Monday at a high weight trying to get back on track.

Well, this weekend I made a conscious effort to NOT do that, and I started this week lighter than any other week this year so far. This is progress!! I feel like this is the week that I FINALLY break through these 3 pounds and make my way into new territory. I am lighter today than any other Wednesday this year, so maybe this is my week. I'm really going to use this momentum and hopefully be in the 140's by next week. And now. . .

So far today, I've just had coffee w/ h&h. . .I'm finishing it now. Lunch is either a slice of Linda Sue's spinach lasagne or a couple of leftover mini-quiches. Dinner is homemade Dreamfield's mac&cheese and burgers for the family. . .I'll just have a burger. I haven't planned my snacks, but I have a bunch of legal choices available.

Ok. . .enough of the overanalyzing and rambling. . . Good luck everyone. . .have a great one!

WCBL!

Andrea =)

Great Job Andrea KUTGW! It's funny when you have those "AHA" moments. Friday & Saturday are my sabotage days also. Usually Friday after work I'm too tired to make something for dinner so we'll just order in. I try to keep it M/E but when the hubby and kiddos order PIZZA or HOAGIES it makes
life miserable. Then for some reason Saturdays are also a real challenge. But, come Sunday I'm ready and eager to get back on plan. But, you have to live life and sometimes that involves CAKE

This week I'm on my third day of strict M/E. Yesterday was boiled eggs for breaky, 2 chicken thighs/hb egg for lunch, and steak for dinner. I did have a few mushrooms with my steak. Also, got in my t-tapp workout. Hoping to have some good results this week. Friday night I have a surprise party to go to for a good friend. I know it's going to be a buffet and also cocktails. Hopefully there will be some LC choices, but it's also Friday and I can't eat meat. If I have a drink I'll keep it to bacardi and diet coke which I believe only has 1 carb.

Everyone keep on keepin' on......Summer will be here soon!

Good Morning everyone!!
I am DOWN .8 lbs. this morning. Down is always better than up. I just hope it keeps going down this time.
I stayed pretty much on tract yesterday. I was M/E all day except for dinner. I had a burger on oopsie rolls. I made 6 Oopsies yesterday because DIL was making them for the 1st time so I made some along with her to help her along....I just can't let them go to waste...

I did 30 min. of step aerobics and 15 min. jog.
I drank my 100 oz. water.

Mommie22boys: Sounds like you are getting things figured out. Congrats on the loss. It is nice to know that extra work to track your food really does help...

lynnp: I keep watching to see how you are doing. After doing M/E for 100 days before, I am curious to see how it will affect you this time. I am patiently waiting for you to jump aboard again.

Cat430: I have a couple Firm Tapes. I have never tried them. I wonder if I want to now.

cutepixy: Keep tabs on the stress. Plan ahead and make sure you have plenty of legal snacks with you. If it is chocolate cake that is your weakness, take a couple chocolate Oopsies to work with you. Better to eat an oopsie roll than to do an oopsie and eat the cake....
GOOD LUCK and hang in there...

caribe: Hang in there, that 10 lbs should come off...

Parisfox: Congrats on another loss. You are doing great.
I like the saying you posted. It really does speak to you...

Gracie514: Did you say "shorts, bathing suits, tank tops - UUGGGHHHH!" I can't believe it is that time of year again....

gillygum: How did you do on the fat fast? I am curious to see if the M/E will be better for you...

shari: Welcome back!!

Antigone: Hang in there, we know you can do it....

J.A.: I try to carry oopsie rolls with me when I go to town. I know I will stop and have a burger because they are just too good....and easy... hang in there...

Leezlelee: I don't think there really is a menu. Just meat and eggs. There are a bunch of RULES in the first post to follow. Those might be helpful to you.

Well have a good day everyone. I need to get up and get moving....It is a beautiful day here on the farm so out I go......

I will check in later...

Good for you, Lynn....Sounds like you are back on track. KUTGW...hang in there...we CAN do this!!
Did you post your "NO POPCORN ZONE" sign?

I was UP 0.2 of a pound this morning...and I didn't eat that much yesterday...so I figure it's really just holding.
Now to keep from bouncing up again tomorrow.

Andrea....Good job. Keep it going. You are getting closer and closer to goal!!

Gracie...Good luck at the party. Fridays during Lent are a real challenge.
Eat something before you go. Vodka/diet soda is a good choice too. ZERO carbs.

Karin...Enjoy your beautiful weather. I envy you. We are cold again and will stay that way until the weekend, then a warm up.
March is rollercoaster weather here.

Caribe....Sounds like you are on the right track. KUTGW...

Speaking of chocolate cravings, has anyone tried the Chocolate Cherry Diet Dr. Pepper???? It sounds REALLY good. I can't find it anywhere.

I saw it for the first time the other day at Wegmans, but didn't buy it. (Do you have any Wegmans in the Pittsburgh area? I know there are a handful in Eastern PA, but don't know about the west. I should know, as I have relatives in the Natrona Heights/New Ken area. . .but I think they just have Giant Eagle there. If you are anywhere near a Wegmans, though, it's a GREAT store for lots of good LC finds.) Anyway, they only had it in the 12-pks and I was afraid that I might not like it and be stuck with all those extra cans.

Well, my lunch plans ended up changing. . .decided to get the kids out of the house for lunch. So we went to Burger King so they could eat and burn some energy at their indoor play-place. Instead of my planned lunch, I had 2 whopper Jrs on a pair of oopsies, with a diet coke. Yes, the fries looked inviting. No, I didn't have any. So my dinner plans are different now, too, as I don't want ANOTHER burger for dinner. Can't decide. . .either the Linda Sue spinach lasagne or a protein shake. I have a hair appt later this afternoon (gotta keep those roots under control!!) and will probably end up having a HB egg for a snack before dinner.

Well, aren't 'cha glad you know all that?

Caribe and Big Red: Nice job on the losses!!

Gracie: One other question for you. . .you said you drink Bacardi and Diet Coke. . .I drink Malibu and Diet Coke when we go out (and sometimes when we stay in ) How did you figure the carbs? I was wondering that recently, but then I saw somewhere that straight alcohol (100 proof) has no carbs? So, I was guessing that maybe my drink was "zero" carbs? What do you think?

Paris: KUTGW! I hate those little "unexplained" bounces up, too. They're so annoying! That's the price I pay for dogging that scale the way I do, though, I guess!

Well, TTFN! See you all later!

Hello Everyone:

TOM is here I dropped around 3 pounds this morning, but it's just water retention because of all the exercise I did yesterday, and I'm still recovering from my birthday cheat.... Whatever the reason, I'll take it!
I really just had a short break and wanted to check in to congratulate all those losing and encourage those who aren't, as well as the new faces...we'll get there...
Sorry for not mentioning anyone in particular, just in a hurry and a little blue...
I'll keep reading everyone's posts during the day...
Take Care...

Mommie22boys - I looked up 'rum' in Fitday and it has 64 cals. and 0 carbs per oz. HTH

Okay, so I guess the Bacardi and diet has zero carbs, even better

Angie: TOM always puts me in a blue mood too......must be those god-awful hormones!

Paris: I think Friday before the party I'll have some egg salad and then hopefully at the party they'll have some kind of fish......NOT FRIED!!!

Andrea: I'm in Southwest PA and I don't think I've ever seen Wegman's but I'll ask around. How about a diet cherry chocolate dr. pepper with vodka?
Sounds yummo! Not only can you fulfill your chocolate craving but improve your mood while doing it!!!!

hey everyone! so happy to find others doing meat and eggs specifically! since you all are experienced in eating this way can you reccomend some very lean ideas for chicken? like spices I should check out that won't add any carbs or cals. Thanks all!

Also are you guys just eating your eggs boiled? fried in no cal spray? thanks!!

I have tried diet dr. pepper cherry chocolate. You can really taste each flavor seperately, its pretty good and would probably be good for a cravings buster!
