My eating has been nuts in the past 3 days... literally eating more than 3000 cals per day! What is going on? I think I'm exhausted. Thanks so much for the response, T.T. I hope to lose it like you! Do you count your calories on Atkins?

Don't Worry you WILL lose it!!! ....No i Don't Pay Attention to Calories (mindfully),or carbs for that matter(but only because i have high carb tolerance)...I use Good Judgement, and my Low-Carb Trained Mind For Ex: if i see Low-Carb Tortillas That Have very little Fiber i wont get it,I will opt. for Low-Carb Tortillas w/ a good amount of fiber(but recently i've given these up!). HOWEVER i do write down what i eat ,not so much for caloric calculations but to locate "allergies" and "Irritants" like when i ate sf candy i felt REALLY sick and was bloated
But i do know alot of women on here DO count their calories, and all traces of carbs(i guess it just depends on the person). I try to get most of my carbs from Veggies(key word try ) and try to limit the amount of "products" i use...i suggest avoiding as many "products" as possible(only use the ones you feel like you HAVE to)..and i PROMISE you will lose..and QUICKLY if you do it that way.![]()

I guess I'll keep pushing on... yeah, so after doing some shopping, I stopped in a candy store and bought 2 sf easter bunnies on discount. And I am SICK! Sounds like your experience w/ Russell Stovers... remind me to avoid the headache next time!
![]() One last question... how long has it taken to lose your 6 pounds? I guess the closer you are to your goal, the harder it is to lose. I'm trying for 30 pounds... thanks again for the info, T.T. ![]() |

Hi guys.
I'm glad to see everyone is doing well! This week I was expecting a gain because I ate a little too much on a couple of days, though I still made better choices on those days than I would have in the past. I did work out this week, though not quite as much as last week. So I was shocked when I was down 5lbs!! Now I'm kind of at the point where I mostly want to tone up. I don't really have much left to lose. Maybe 5 more lbs, but I don't really mind if I don't lose that. I want to focus more now on working out more often and getting healthy in that sense.

Thats where i am too Dietsprite(i don't have hardly any weight to lose), Im Naturally a "wiggly" type of girl
...and i find it almost IMPOSSIBLE to get a toned look i always have a more "soft" look. I think i get that from my Granmother, and some of my Aunties they are soft looking, i hate that im getting to the point of just "excepting it" (when i've done contineous stength training it just made me keep getting smaller, but not REALLY toned) i don't look Grossly Flabby just very soft. Im really starting to lose hope ![]() |

Today was Beautiful :)
Hey Everyone!.....How's the weather where you guys are?...im in Chicago, and it was beautiful TODAY but i wouldn't be shocked if it was windy and rainy tomorrow!...Here you just don't know what to expect.
![]() I will be recieving my daughter's stroller from UPS this monday!...I ordered it from amazon, and it was LONG needed my daughter is over 20lbs has special needs and can't walk yet,AND we live on the 4th floor(With no elevator...i get tired just typing it.. Not to mention shes a tall baby lke her father)...i was still carrying her in the Carrier, but i have a bad back and just isn't working anymore, and she has a stroller already but its HUGE and hard to carry up and down the stairs by itself, Let alone with a big baby inside. and i only used the big stroller when her her dad(my husband) is home because its to big for me to cary by myself...This will be Great because now i can take her out for walks during the spring/summer without having the carrier killing my back OR hubby having to always be w/ me to carry the stroller up and down the stairs ![]() |

T.T.- It's been storming here and the weather has been in the 80's. It's supposed to be stormy for a few more days. It's quiet right now, but overcast. I hope you enjoy the stroller!

Hi everyone...sorry I've been absent, I'm just so busy with work and writing for my other job. I even gave my shift away for tomorrow just so I could have a little time to myself!
3 weeks and I am down 9 pounds...pretty good. I just keep thinking, 9 pounds down, 34 to go. That puts it into perspective for me somehow. I hope everyone is having a good week! I am going to have some tea and relax. |

Pete and freshstart08- Good to hear from you!
I haven't posted for a few days. I didn't do so well this week. My eating has been okay, but I've been drinking lots of coffee with waaay too much coffee creamer. It's been a stressful week and I had moments where I had a "I don't care" attitude about my eating habits. I also haven't worked out since I've been sick with a cold, but it seems to be going away, so I hope to get into a work out routine again soon! I hope everyone else is doing well. ![]() |

Im the same way this week Dietsprite,i had chinese food AND some tombstone garlic bread pizza(which may i add is GREAT!
)...i guess i fall of the wagon because since i've gotten off deprovera i notice that i maintain weight VERY easily...initially when i eat "carby food" i feel bloated and gain like 2lbs but then the Next day i weigh myself and im back to the same weight, and the bloating is gone!...so sadly its like im "Getting away with it"...but i know its not healthy so i feel bad. ....I Love low-carb but it seems like since deprovera has been wearing off more and more and i can get away with more and more "bad" stuff i take it for granted!...any advice or people who feel the same way? |

TT- One of the reasons it's taken me almost 5 years to lose the weight is because I found it easy to maintain while eating foods I shouldn't. I maintained between 199 and 189lbs for about a year and a half, and again at 175 to 165 for another year. I wanted to continue losing, but many times I got caught up in eating some Chinese food(things that I tried to convince myself were low carb, but that still contained sugar and some flour), fried and breaded foods like onion rings and fried chicken, and whole wheat bread and low carb fraken food products.
I found out that I could maintain okay, but I also felt like food was controlling me once again. I found it very hard to get my eating under control and begin losing again. The last time that I allowed myself to start eating those things again, I ended up going overboard and gaining back 15lbs. For me, I know I can't let myself get in that mindset or food will control me like it did when I was at my heaviest. Since starting Weight Watchers I've been trying to get into a healthier mindset involving food. That doesn't mean I'll never slip, because I have(like with all the coffee mate this week, lol!), but I'm going to try to get right back on track when I do, because even though I really don't have much left to lose I want to find healthy eating habits that I can use my whole life. ![]() |

TOM is over for me, so now my weight loss can get kick started again. I gained like 2 pounds from TOM. Grr. But my goal is to be 185 by the end of the month. So that's about 12 or so pounds to lose. I think it's doable.

Hi T.T.
I've been kinda lax with watching my eating. I've been trying the core plan on weight watchers, which is where you eat from a certain list of foods(pretty much low carb) and you eat when you're hungry. You don't count points. Unfortunately, I find it really hard to stay on plan when doing core. So I'm switching back to flex. I actually really like counting points, I think I really need the structure, and I enjoy knowing that I'm staying on plan. I'm back on flex as of right now. Tomorrow is my weekly weigh in. I'm expecting a gain, but that's okay because I should be down the following week. I have finals starting on Friday and extending until next Wednesday evening, so I probably won't be on the boards much until then, but I hope everyone else has an awesome week and stops in to update us! |

I've been doing good. I'm getting closer to being 190, so yes.. all is good. My one year of eating low carb is approaching, so I'll be able to say I've lost about 50 or 55 pounds by then.

Hi guys!
I've been doing well. I missed my weigh in this week, so I'm not sure if my weight has gone down or not. I'm waiting until Thursday to officially weigh in. I worked out earlier in the week for 30 minutes, and for 60 minutes last night. I've been doing Gilad's Total Body Sculpt, which I've been recording off fit tv. It's hard, but I actually really like it. Laura and Haystar, you guys really inspired me to work out, and I am actually starting to enjoy it! Yeah, it's still hard, but I always feel so much better after working out. I have one more class, tomorrow evening, and then my semester is over! One of my summer classes starts in two weeks, but at least I'll have a short reprieve, lol. I'll try to get on this thread and post more often. Hopefully some more people will drop in and let us know how they're doing. ![]() |
