You could do it running, on a treadmill or elliptical or even a bike. You basically warm up and then some people do it at their absolute maximum for maybe 30 secs to 1 min, and then they do it at a slower pace for a min, then they go all out again for 30 secs to 1 minute. I tried to it before I found my workout just dragged on forever cause I had to constantly be looking at how long I was doing each interval for.
I meant to respond to this that day and I forgot!

I thought that the workout would feel sooo long too, but I have actually found that the half hour that I do (including about 8 minutes of warmup/cooldown) pretty much flies by when I do HIIT. I do alternating minutes, so yes, I am changing the speed frequently, but for some reason it doesn't feel long at all. I think maybe because I am focusing on just getting through the 60 seconds (on the tough minutes) and am savoring the 60 seconds (on the easy minutes)-- so the time is constantly just going by.

What is hard for me is to do the remaining 10-15 minutes of steady state, moderate cardio after...I feel so SPENT after the HIIT. But the articles I've read said that to do a bit of moderate cardio after (almost as a cooldown) is really good...I go at about 65-70% of what I used to go on the elliptical/treadmill before when I just did 45 straight minutes of cardio.

Too early to tell if I am seeing any results yet, but I feel good and I am always spent after my workouts!

Sorry I haven't been checking in, and my eating has been a little sloppy lately too. But I am back on track today.

And I did 30 minutes of jogging.

Still undecided what's for dinner. It sure doesn't help when you don't have much to work with.

Hi guys, I'm glad to see everyone is doing well!

I did not do so well this weekend. Saturday I visited with my grandparents, dad, aunt and cousin. We went to see my great grandmother, who is not doing so well. We took her out to lunch, and then went to my grandparent's house for dinner. I made much better choices than I would have in the past, but still ate more than I needed. On Sunday we went to my step grandparent's house for Easter. I did okay with what I chose to eat, but when I got home I ate way more than I needed to. Monday I didn't make the best choices either. I've been doing better since then, and was only up .4lbs this week, (from 155.6 last week to 156), which is okay.

I agree that those are sooooo good. I can't keep them in the house because I eat way to many of them. It's still nice to know that they're an option though.

My mom goes crazy over chocolate, so she would end up eating like a whole box in like 2 days. Lucky for me I can eat one a day and be fine. I like the occasional chocolate every now and again, but I could most definitely live without it.

My menu yesterday was good.

B - none
L - Nutrisystem pork roast with veggies dinner thing
S - vanilla yogurt, banana
D - boneless chicken breast with salsa, sour cream and shredded cheese, broccoli with butter, salad with turkey, cheese and ranch dressing

For exercise I did the 30 min walk/jog (mostly jogging though) and 20 minute Turbo Jam workout.

T.T. I've never had fage or yocheese, but I've heard a lot of people say how much they love yocheese.

I'm doing well. Friday at work I played tag with the kids for about 40 minutes. I was able to run around with them at the park until it was time to leave, whereas in the past I would have been exhausted after 10 minutes.

Yesterday I had a bunch of carbs (English muffin, bowl of Cocoa Krispies and 4 pieces of rectangular square pizza) and I was for sure I'd see a weight gain. So I got on the scale this morning, definitely lost .4 pounds. I was stoked.

Congradulations on finishing Induction ....you should feel REALLY accomplished, alot of people can't even finish that.

as for me im Pretty good im usually around 156.6 but today i messed up and had wheat thins w/ my tuna salad (i talk about this on my thread "wheat thins made me bloated"..in the main lobby)...and im feeling so blah...but i will avoid salty, carby foods tomorrow and drink tons of water and i'll be back to normal in a day or so.

It was really weird though... i have a pretty good carb tolerence and bloating up from 10 wheat thins was just strange, but i will NOT eat them again just to be safe

are you going to continue the rungs of OWL..or Modify?...have you thought about it as of yet?

Hey everyone..

I'm still 'chuggin' along, at 203 this morning!!!! I've been feeling pretty blah this weekend (oral surgery). I've been on plan the whole time, except for the SUGAR WATER they pumped through me. I asked if they had Splenda water, no luck.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Well, my plan was to continue induction... I lost a total of 5.5 pounds in the 14 days of induction, which is OK. Most days during my induction looked like this:

B: 2 eggs, 1 oz cheese, 1 cup veg
L: meat (either chicken w/ skin, ground meat, pork chop, etc.), 1 oz cheese, 1 cup veg
D: meat (either chicken w/ skin, ground meat, pork chop, etc.), 1 oz cheese, 1 cup veg
S: 3 oz cream, 1 oz cheese

Today was day 15, and I had thought about eliminating dairy (cream and cheese) for a week to see if I lost more rapidly. I didn't eat the cheese, and felt hungrier than normal. My actual meals today are posted on my blog. I ate a bit more than usual. And I counted about 2000 calories. It was a weird day.

I'm thinking that I will keep going with induction, until I get closer to my goal. I will continue to eat the alloted 4 oz cheese, 3 oz cream, and 3 servings of artificial sweetener.

I'm a little concerned...
