Definitely. I started out at 4-5 days a week, but even though I am overweight, I'm in pretty good shape, so it was like nothing to me. I'd work out 7 days a week if I could probably, but I know I shouldn't.

Welcome Stacie and Bav!
TT- I am a cheese addict too! I have to restrain myself in order to lose.
Cletra- I get sick of eggs easily too. After doing Atkins for so long, now I only like eggs if they're covered in cheese or used in an omelet with lots of other ingredients, lol. With boiled eggs I'm the opposite though, I don't like the white part but will eat the yolk, lol.
Pete- Glad you like your new job
Laura & Haystar- What exactly is Turbo Jam? Do you enjoy it more than other forms of exercise? I would love to enjoy exercising and have it become a habit.

I've been doing okay this week. I've stayed in my points range for the most part, but I'm not sure if I've lost anything.
On Monday when we went to the water park we ate the lunches we packed, instead of buying something from the theme park. In the evening a friend took us out to dinner at Bahama Breeze. She ordered an appetizer that looked awesome and offered us some, but I resisted since it would have been high in points and carbs. I ordered chicken with a double serving of veggies instead of the rice it came with.
Today we went down to SeaWorld for a bit and then drove down to Tampa to visit our cousin who goes to college there. She took us out for lunch. I ordered something pretty low calorie, and with a moderate carb level. I did have some coffee with soymilk, and realized after ordering that they put vanilla (sweetened) soymilk in it, so my carbs were higher than I wanted.
Tomorrow I'm going to try to keep my carbs low and hope for a loss on Friday!

Turbo Jam is basically cardio kickboxing. Think Taebo but a lot more dancier? I guess that's the best way I'd describe it. She incorporates hooks, punches, jabs, crosses, kicks, hi-lo punches and other stuff she created. I personally think it's a lot of fun. And I think if you're looking to try something that is fun and you won't get sick of and think of exercise, Turbo Jam is that. I haven't ever heard any negative reviews about it.

If you go to YouTube and then do a search for Turbo Jam, watch the Turbo Jam Maximum Results video and you can get sort of an idea of what it's like. There's also other videos she has on there that can give you a preview of what her other workouts are like.

Honestly there are sooo many TJ workouts (like 10+) that it's impossible to get bored with them, but I mainly use Fat Blaster, 20 minute workout and Cardio Party Mix #2. I really want to start using Turbo Sculpt again and Lower Body Jam, but those are the 3 main ones I do. She also has a great ab routine (10 mins standing and 10 mins floor)

Hi guys

Have to post kinda early today...I have a meeting with my adviser in a little bit, then class, then I will be driving home for the weekend, so I won't be in til later.

Menu today:
B: oatmeal w/banana
L: sf pudding, grapes, banana, maybe a bit of granola (this has to last me from 2:30 til about 8)
D: will be getting home late, maybe a sweet potato, or mini pizza

Exercise today: already got in 45 minutes on the elliptical. Amazing how loooong it felt-- I've been doing Turbo Jam lately and the time in those just flies by.

Hope everyone is doing well today

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to pop in and say hi, I've had a pretty busy week at work. Scale was at 211 this morning, maybe it's TOM's fault. Oh well. I went to the gym for 45 minutes on Tuesday and also today. My menus this week have consisted of tons of veggies (zucchini, asparagus, radishes, salad) and eggs. I picked up some whey protein powder from the vitamin shoppe. Netrition has it too, it's the Syntrax Nectar brand, flavor is vanilla bean torte. I was SHOCKED at how good it is!!! It doesn't have the "protein drink" taste whatsoever. For the last few days I've been putting that in my morning coffee drink (espresso, ice, sf torani and some heavy cream). I also made my first 'one minute muffin' the other day, I was impressed! I will have to keep these to one/day or less until I can determine how my body likes them.

Gosh i really want to be in onederland.

I hope you all have a great day tomorrow and a nice weekend!

It's really annoying to be so close to onederland. I got there at one point, then apparently my body likes to hang onto muscle, so I went back up to above 200. I was like a pound and a half away then TOM had to come. Now I'm off it and I'm like 2.8 pounds away, so hopefully I can be under 200 in like a week. That'd be great. I've seriously been weighing between 200 and 210 since about September. Granted, I've went from a size 16 to a size 12, but still. It'd be great to see the scale says 190 something for more than a day, haha.

My menu for today:

B - none (I am so bad at this)
L - shredded lettuce with ranch dressing, bowl of Chili from Nutrisystem, vanilla yogurt
S - 2 slices of whole wheat LC bread with butter
D - steak, broccoli with butter, salad with tomatoes and Italian dressing

I also exercised and I did Turbo Jam Fat Blaster and the 20 minute workout. I'll probably do the standing portion of Ab Jam later after I eat dinner, relax and stuff.

WOE: lowcarb WW- Weigh in Thurs.
Start Date: May 27, 2003
Bav- the protein powder sounds really good, and I saw they have a chocolate flavor too. I may have to try some one of these days!
Laura- I bet you have way more muscle than me! lol I'm at 157 and can just now squeeze into a size 10. I don't think I could fit into a size 12 until I was in the 170's, and I'm taller than you! Keep up the good work!
TT- That would have made my day too, lol

I weighed in tonight at the final biggest loser challenge at 157! I'm very excited about that because as a teen my lowest weight was 159, and the majority of my teen years I was 180 or up.
Also, at the start of the biggest loser competition that we're in, everyone put in $10 to join. The winner gets to keep the money everyone put in, and any left over weekly prizes. Well, in the last 9 weeks, Katie and I both lost a little over 20lbs! We calculated the winner by the percent of body weight lost, and Kate and I both lost 11. something percent. And we won the prize money! Well, technically only one of us won, but it was extremely close (off only by .4%), and we planned on sharing the prize anyway. It ended up being $165.

So, it's been a good couple of days.
I had really wanted to work out this weekend, but I feel like I'm coming down with a cold, so I was a little bummed about that. As soon as it goes away I plan on getting into a workout routine!

Yeah I do have a good amount of muscle, cause I played softball for like 5 years and I was a catcher, so that definitely helped it. I've concluded that once I get down to goal (if I don't look too skinny then), I'll probably be able to fit into like a size 6 or 8. My legs do have some fat on them that I could stand to get rid of, but for the most part, it's mainly muscle, especially the back of my legs. People think I am like 20-30 pounds lighter than I am, which is pretty good. Cause my weight is my little secret. One of my friends, she weighs like 145 or something and she wears a size 8-10, and she knows I'm working my way into a size 10. I think between 190 and 195, I'll be in a 10. Or maybe before that, depends how toned I get from exercising.

I'm 1 pound away from being back under 200. Yesterday I was 202.8 and today I'm 201. So that's almost 2 pounds lost in one day. Pretty sure that was thanks to Turbo Jam. I did Fat Blaster yesterday and that really gets the fat burning process moving, since it's intervals. I also started taking these omega-3 fatty acids and they put more fat in my diet.

Laura- That's great that you're only 1 lb away!

My carbs were a bit high today. I haven't put anything into fitday for today, but I've been keeping track of my points.
I was at work from 8:30 to 4:30, and have been working on school assignments since I got home, but I'll try and find some time to plug my menu for today into fitday. If I don't get a chance to do today's menu I'll at least plan tomorrow's.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Aw, thank ya! I try my hardest. I'm glad I can be an inspiration for someone. Although I'm not so sure I'd want to be a role model for the LC way of life, haha. I don't stick to LC 100%. Like last night I had a bowl of Lucky Charms, but that's okay.. cause I still lost. I can say with confidence that exercising has helped my appearance SO much. It's really going to be the determination of whether your skin sags or if it'll snap back into place. It has also helped me look a lot more toned than someone at my weight should.

Hi everyone, I just got home from the gym, 45 minutes total on the bike and treadmill. I weighed in at 209 this morning, then 210. My scale will usually give me 2 different numbers . I'm going to prepare lunches for the week, mainly just salads, i'll save my meat/protein for breakfast (eggs) and dinner (chicken or beef). I hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Laura - I'm rooting for you to be in onederland!!! After you're there, I'm NEXT!!!!

hey guys, sorry i've been gone so long. I got Strep or Mono (won't know for sure til Tuesday) but I am on an antibiotic now that is helping out a little bit.

Past 3 days I haven't ate much, but today was able to eat a small bit more. Made it to the grocery store today and picked up some food for the week.

Also school/work is crazy right now, I did awesome on my genetic engineering presentation and decent on the exam, so glad I got that done before the illness hit me. This week at work they are shifting me from 8 hour workdays to 10 hour shifts to hopefully speed up my training. Training is realllly boring so far but all the other chemists say once its over things seem much better.

Oatmeal!!!! Today for the 1st time in nearly a year I had a small bowl of Banana Bread Oatmeal, yum yum

Rachel and Kate: congrats on the win!!!
