Hey! I'd like to join this board if you don't mind.

Hello Everybody, My name is Stacie. I'm 21 years old and live in Illinois. I went to a small community college for 2 years and graduated and am currently taking a year a off from school. I plan on going back in the fall and join the elementary education program. I want to be a teacher also! I'm a pretty simple girl but have a strong passion for baseball and love my team, St. Louis Cardinals!! This is my first attempt at low carb. I started December 3rd, 2007 and would love to be 100 lbs lighter by one year on this woe. I definately need to get my butt in gear and do some more exercising!

I would love to join you guys/gals. It's nice to have a group of people that are around my age.

I'm 24, my first LC 'attempt' was a few years ago, lost 50 pounds and gained some of it back. Now I'm steadily getting back down towards my goal, still have 35 pounds to go. My first big goal will be in 'onederland'. I can't wait!

I went to the gym for 45 minutes today, 25 minutes on the elliptical and 20 on the treadmill. The treadmill kicked my butt!! I usually do an incline of 12.5 with a speed of 2.5. Today I went for a 13.5 incline at 3. Wow. That extra 1 incline and .5 of speed makes a HUGE difference.

Food for today
B - scrambled eggs with gyros (leftovers)
S - cheese stick
L - bav-o frappo (espresso, heavy cream, davinci/toranis and ice, blend!) and bean sprouts with Franks red hot
D - zucchini pizza with radishes, cheese and red onions
96+ oz water

I hope to get to know you all.

Eggs are rough. After doing South Beach when I was younger in high school, and Atkins last year-- I just don't think I'll ever be able to eat another scrambled egg again.

Hey guys (or should i say girls?)

First day on the new job went well, the place has a pretty good salad bar and only charges $0.25/ounce for salads so thats a lot of salad for cheap. Also got $150 to buy a set of work shoes lol. I just bought some cool shoes yesterday so ya I feel pretty metro right now with all these shoes lately.

Todays Menu
B: LC Yogurt
L: Salad w/ some cottage cheese on the side
S: LC Ice Cream
D: a small Steak

Dedicated: I loved doing M/E.. i just hated how much preparing of meals it took, and re-heated eggs I just can't handle.

I really don't know how people can eat eggs for breakfast every morning. I can eat eggs every great once in a while. One time a week is pushing it. I just don't like eggs that much, and especially for breakfast cause the thought of food in general doesn't appeal to me. So it is beyond me how people can continue to eat eggs everyday after like years. The thought makes me want to vomit.

I know I shouldn't work out today to TJ, but I really want to. My abs are a little sore and my back and shoulders are a little sore from doing all those criss cross punches yesterday. There is a lot of them in Cardio Party 2. It hurt my stomach to laugh today. Some days I get lazy and forget to do the Turbo Tuck while doing the routine, and I did it yesterday and my abs are definitely feeling it today.

It's weird to say this, considering the thought of doing cardio and exercising and sweating made me hate it, but I think I am becoming addicted to exercise. It's like my day isn't complete unless I get at least a half hour of exercise in. So I basically plan to exercise everyday except for on Thursdays, cause that's a late day for me. I don't get home til 7pm. It's amazing to love exercising. Never thought the day would come, but it has. I feel extremely lazy when I don't exercise.

Totally agree-- I made exercise a permanent part of my life October of 2006 and have not turned my back once. It is just a part of my day-- unless I am sick, etc. You just have to *start*-- allow yourself 30 days to make it a habit, and then you will see that it will be nearly impossible to stop! It is addicting.

Lisa- I completely understand about the cheese When I did Atkins, I ate SO much cheese. I eat it at most once a day now (for the most part)-- but then again, I am not doing Atkins and have many other snack options. When I do Atkins, I feel like my snacks are so limited-- and that drives me to my lover- cheese

Hi Lora! thanks for saying hi.

Long day and going to be a long night..
Started 'training' at work that is going to take about 4 weeks and I might have to come in on Saturdays for it also, today was pretty boring, nothing but reading. Only thing that keeps me awake is knowing how much they are paying me to be there lol. I have tomorrow off so I can goto class which I'm not looking forward too. Biochem midterm at 8am followed by my genetic engineering presentation in the afternoon. Someone come shoot me

Todays menu
B: LC Yogurt
L: Salad w/ chicken breast, no dressing
S: Slice of Cheese
D: LC Quesadilla w/ beef
S: small bowl of LC Ice cream

Haystar: It's suppose to be in the 50s this weekend!!

Pete, what do you use for your quesadillas? I've read that people use the flat out LC wraps, but apparently my step dad went to the store once and couldn't find them. All they had was the regular big tortillas. Or do you just use the regular LC tortillas?

My menu for today..

B - none
L - rotini with meat sauce dinner thing from Nutrisystem, 1 apple
S - 2 pieces of LC whole wheat bread with butter
D - salad with ranch or Italian dressing, low carb pasta with alfredo sauce

I haven't made the alfredo sauce before, so tonight will be an experiment. I hope it doesn't suck.

Laura- did your Dad look in the regular tortilla section? I believe the Flat-Out wraps are around the deli section-- I've never seen them with tortillas. HTH

Pete- I'm happy its finally starting to "warm up"! It was 40 degrees and sunny today- such a change! I don't think its supposed to get quite up to 50 here this week-- but I saw a few days that were around 45-47. Makes me pretty happy! Now I just hope it doesnt suddenly drop back down though!
