Welcome new people!

Things are going well for me, staying on track and staying below 30g carbs/day. Having some a taco tonight on a LC tortilla.

Best friend just got home from Iraq today and were gonna hit the gym tomorrow morning.

Welcome Cletra! I want to get my masters, because tewachers are paid more if they have one, but I am so ready to be out of school that I don't think I'll be getting my masters any time soon. I still have a year left until I get my bachelors, and I can't wait to get done and start teaching! lol

TT- It sounds like you've really done your research on Atkins, and probably know more than me about it, since it's been nearly 5 years since I last read the book! lol You seem to be off to a really strong start which is great!

Well, I did not do so well today. My carbs were very low, which is great... But this evening I threw in some snacks that I did not need. Thank goodness for the flex points that WW allows.
School has been extremely stressful. We're presenting a group lesson plan tomorrow that I was up late working on, and I have a chapter presentation on Friday and just turned in another assignment today. Trying to juggle that and work has been difficult and today I just felt like eating, which is what I used to do to handle stress. I've been very good about not eating out of stress since starting weight watchers, but today was a different story. I ate 3 beef jerkey sticks, a cheese stick, two extra peices of laughing cow cheese... Overall, not nearly as bad as my stress eating would have been pre-weight watchers, but any stress eating at all is not a good thing. I want to get away from that whole mentality.
I am posting about overeating here so that I have no more excuses to do any more overeating tonight! Instead, I will drink a glass of tea or water when I find myself in the kitchen looking for something to eat.
I hope everyone else is doing well and having a great night.

I know all about eating because of stress, believe me. My first 2 quarters for finals were really tough and I found myself eating fast food like every day during finals week, but luckily only gained like 2 or 3 pounds. I think I just didn't care, but in a way I did. But luckily last quarter for finals I didn't do any fast food eating for stress, and I came to grip with the fact that I just can't be doing that and it's not worth it.

Another good day completed. Went out for lunch with my friend, had a Caesar salad that was excellent. Tonight for dinner I had a chicken breast and for dessert had a 4g carb ice cream bar.

Just finished up some paper work in anticipation of my new job starting on Monday.

Looks like we are all on track here, lets keep it up!

Hi guys! I've been lazy about posting because school has been crazy. Just got done with a lesson plan presentation tonight and our group (me, dietsprite, and two others from our class) did great!
Hi Hayley, Laura, T.T., Sheena, and Cletra! It sounds like everyone is doing a great job!
Pete, I like the haircut and that's great that your friend got to come home.

Menu today:
B: Egg and cheese omelet (made with egg beaters) and coffee with 2 T. heavy cream
L: 1/2 piece of pumpkin break (grabbed it at the SGA while I was down preparing for our lesson plan)
D: a turkey sandwich on an oopsie roll, and 1/2 a peperoni sandwich on an oopsie roll, one laughing cow cheese
I'll probably make some veggies in a little bit.

I've been struggling a little this week with stress eating. I've been keeping it low carb (today is the highest I've gone in a while with that 1/2 piece of bread) but I went above my points yesterday and Sunday. This Friday is our weigh in for biggest loser at work and then the following Friday will be our last weigh in and I really want to win or at least be in the top 3, so no more stress eating. Next week is spring break and I'll be spending most of it doing stuff around the house and working on course work, but Monday we're going to Sea Worlds new water park Aquatica! So I'm looking forward to that.

At just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. --Romans 5:6-8

Good day today for the most part..

I had a date tonight so ate out for dinner, had some chicken wings and cream cheese jalapeno poppers that were breaded.. 40g carbs right there grrrrr but beyond that rest of todays meals were great.

Made a chicken broccoli stir fry for lunch, snack was a small piece of cheese and breakfast was a LC yogurt.

Dedicated; best of luck on the M/E challenge!

Today wasn't a good day carb wise for me. I had very little lettuce in the fridge and there wasn't much else to eat, so I had a Healthy Choice frozen dinner that had like 36 carbs. Granted it could had been more, but hey. I exercised for 35 minutes in hoping that would burn a little bit of that off, haha.

It's kind of aggravating cause my body seems to want to hang onto any muscle it can, so I went back up to 200. So this morning I was 201.4 and yesterday I was 201, although I did have something I shouldn't have. Grr, but oh well. Hopefully I can be under 200 by the end of the weekend. That'd be great. My goal is to get to like 190 by the end of the month, buuut that might not happen with TOM. We'll see. I would love to get into a size 10 jeans by then.

Bad day for me too.. woke up and noticed I was up 2lbs from the day before and just got frustrated, i know I shouldn't check everyday but I was just to curious. Got aggravated and just had too much 'legal' food today especially with the LC Tortillas and cheese.. 2100 calories, 64g net carbs. I've had M&Ms/Donuts/Poptarts sitting out in the kitchen all day but haven't touched them, happy in that fact.

Laura, best of luck to ya reaching <200 on Monday!

Today is definitely a better day.

B - none. I didn't wake up til 1pm, haha
S - serving of pepperonis before I began my workout
L - omelet with cheese dipped in ketchup, banana, strawberry Light & Fit yogurt
D - boneless chicken breast with bbq sauce, salad with cheese, tomatoes and ranch or italian dressing, serving of broccoli

Plus I did the 45 minute Turbo Jam Cardio Party Mix 2.

Unfortunately TOM came, but I'm still gonna continue eating good and working out, so maaaybe I'll see a whoosh once that's over and done with. Although I weighed myself this morning and I had dropped .2 pounds considering TOM came, so that's good news. But I probably won't see under 200 again til probably Saturday at least.

Laura- Good job on getting back on track!
Pete- At least you stuck to legal food! I know that's been a problem of mine in the past too though, eating legal foods, but way to much of them.
TT- Your menus look great.
Cletra- Good luck on M/E!

I've been keeping on track this week. Friday night I weighed in at 159lbs! I have never been below 159, and the last time I weighed 159 I was 15, and probably a couple of inches shorter, lol. We have one week left for our Biggest Loser competition at work. The final weigh in is this Friday, and the winner gets $120. I'm really hoping it will be Katie or me. I've lost 19lbs since the start of the competition 8 weeks ago.
Monday Kate and I are going to Aquatica, Sea World's new water park, with a friend. We already have lunch ready to go so that we don't have to rely on what they serve there.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't been around-- still trying to get my laptop fixed. I just got it back last night-- unfortunately, the problem is with the motherboard, not with the batteries/chargers...so I will have to send my laptop back in 8 weeks when I am done with this semester. It works on AC power, so thats a good thing. Thank GOD it is under warranty for 3 years-- I've had it almost 2 years and I can't even imagine buying a new laptop right now! Yikes!

ANYWAYS-- I have been on plan for the most part lately. "On plan" for me is a vague term though- I can eat anything in moderation, as long as I incorporate mostly low GI foods as substitutes for higher ones. I've had a few nights out with family/friends where I ate a little too much popcorn, etc...but I figure it could be worse

Back to school this week though- so back in the regular swing of things, which means back on plan for all meals.

I also got my Turbo Jam in the mail yesterday! Yesterday I did 3 of the workouts- all about 20 minutes each. Today I did the 45 minute Cardio Party workout. Man, I am pretty sore! Not unbearably by any means, but its definitely there. Especially in the midsection! I guess thats a GOOD thing! I also rode the bike for 20 minutes both yesterday and today...I pulled a muscle in my bum about a week ago so trying to take it easy-- no treadmill or elliptical. I think its OK now though, so will start back up on those this week.

Glad to see everyone and hope you are all doing great Now that I have my computer back, I will be able to check in more frequently!
