30lbs by May 24th

I posted my challenge in the main lobby but realized I had to post it here too! So......
I'm taking the family to Disney in May and welcome all to join me in my quest!
I've done it before and know its VERY POSSIBLE!
I figure it's only 10lbs a month!
Who's in?????

I'm here too!! I'd love to see what people are eating on a daily basis. I get lots of ideas from others menus. I will likely weigh once a week.

Good luck everyone!!

You can post whatever you want---it's up to you---no rules just results!
I am planning on weighing in once a week for the first couple weeks and then every other week after that----it's worth the wait!
Post as often as you like----ideas,inspiration,questions,recipes,etc..,

But most of all make it FUN and SUCCESSFUL!
Good Luck

I'm part of another challenge. But I like this idea of this one, so I'd like to occasionally check in with you guys also, if its ok with you.

30lbs by the end of May would put me about 10 above my goal weight, which would be sooooooooooooooo awesome!

Today I ate the following:

B-tea, 3 eggs with tomato and broccoli, 1 piece low carb bread
S: large chai tea with sf syrup
L-Fage full fat yogurt with a few frozen raspberries and sf syrup
D-2 Okara burgers with cheese and mustard, big salad with low carb pita wrap
Snack later: probably yogurt again

What has everyone else been eating?

I'm gonna lose the bread with breakfast but I may keep the pita and see how I do.

I will weigh tomorrow.

I used a cup raw which cooked down to about 1/3-1/2 cup I didn't really think about cleochatra's recipe when I was making mine! She used a cup COOKED! The reason for being up two lbs I'm sure is because I ate the whole dang thing! aarrrrrggg Now I'm gonna need to try it with the correct amount of cauli! I'm outta cheese so I think I'll wait to this weekend.

yesterday's menu:
b - 2 eggs, 2 rr
s - 2 c vanilla caramel tea
l - taco salad, lettuce, tomato, ff cheese, taco meat, lf sour cream, salsa
s - hb egg, 1/3 c taco soup, 2 c above tea
d - cauli pizza
s - nsa klondike

I'll bbl!

Good Morning!

Tina...I think you're up 2 lbs because of the taco meat and Klondike. They always do that to me. I'm going to try to make Cleo's pizza this week. Sounds great! Here's a simple homemade pizza sauce:

1 can tomato paste
1 can warm water
2 T oregano
garlic powder
salt
hot pepper flakes
little splenda
2-3 T parm cheese
I don't measure stuff. Just to taste. We make pizza every Friday night, but it's the regular kind. Now I can have pizza too!

I am down 3 lbs since Monday! I am trying to jog 4-5x/week, plus hiking on weekends, plus Callanetics 3 days/wk, and iBallet 2 days/wk. I am trying to eat a clean, basic LC plan. If I try to much stuff I overeat and don't lose.

Yesterday:
B: Oopsie roll w/ fried egg and bacon
S: LF bologna
L: broccoli salad and LC chili
S: protein bar
D: 2 LC yogurts w/ cocoa powder

Oh, Tina, we go to Wheeling every year to Ogleby to see the Christmas lights!

It's snowing today so I don't know if i'll get to run. I will do Callan though. Ya'll have a good day!

I eat those things all the time, both are basically a staple of my diet! I ate more than a cup of cheese last night for dinner! I'm sure that's what it is. I only have about 3-4 oz of taco meat and it is made w/ground turkey and burger combined.

I do plan to make the cauli pizza again and make sure I use the correct amount of COOKED cauli!

I am WALKING at least 1-2- miles per day and then in about 2 weeks I plan on doing some light weight/high repetition weight training. Muscle weighs more than fat- so-- as the muscle builds, the inches leave but the weight tends to stay the same. Its a win-win situation but for the first couple weeks I want to see the weight come off on the scale!
Oh and since I live in Chicago, I'm also doing alot of shoveling since this snowy winter doesn't seem to have an end in sight!
Remember, keep it fun and treat yourself occasionally so you wont be tempted and go crazy!

Today I am having:

B - rotisserie chicken salad - homemade, just chicken, mayo and seasonings
L - no clue, I wanna keep it simple
D- salmon and green beans with butter
S - none planned
water,diet root beer.

no cream or cheese if I can help it. I dont want to eat those everyday like I have been.
I also want to work on spreading my meals throughout the day. Eating more like 6 meals a day instead of 2-3. I read that some people lose better that way. Plus when doing Atkins, I can go a really long time without eating, like 6-7 hours and I need to cut that out.

Hi everybody. Today's my first day of reinduction after yesterday's cookies. ha ha.

I'm feeling a little blue today and really wanting more cookies. I start work in a couple of hours and I don't feel like going. Usually when I feel this way it helps to stuff myself with soft cake. But I'm not going to do it! I just had some ground beef and am packing some baked chicken for lunch.

Well, I made it through the day. It was such a stressful day at work that I didn't have time to cheat! I definitely could have grabbed some pizza at lunch instead of eating my baked chicken, but I prevailed. It's going to be so nice to be 30lbs lighter. Whoopdeedoo.

Hope everyone else is doing well and staying motivated.

I had a great OP day yesterday! Managed to stay on the treadmill for 40 minutes, a CSI rerun that I hadn't seen yet was on. I drank about 160 oz of water. I need to get on the treadmill again tonight because tomorrow night my kiddo is singing the national anthem w/his school chorus at a minor league hockey game.

I'll check back later!

Hi Everyone!

I will be going out of town tomorrow for my brothers wedding. So I will prolly be watching cals more than carbs that day. I know some people don't agree, but I think it would be rude not to eat at my only brothers wedding, ya know? I'll try to get in extra water and cardio the next day to offset it.

hope ya'll have a great weekend!

Hello everyone!
How are we doing? For all you new ones---
I haven't weighed in yet, as I said I'll do it weekly for the first couple weeks and then bi-weekly after that.
My meals all week so far have been:
B------Turkey sausage links 3-5
L------Salad---Chicken 3x Gyro1x
D------Chicken,Pork,Chicken,Roast with some green beans each night
No snacks all week
exercise----walking and shoveling
I can feel the difference already
It's amazing how good you feel on this diet---it's like your body knows this is RIGHT for you. Tomorrow may be tough--Lent---No Meat so I'm thinking--
B--Cheese Omelet
L--Salad no meat
D--Shrimp or talapia
I'll weigh in on Saturdays or Sundays and POST
REMEMBER WE HAVE 3 MONTHS--10 PDS A MONTH IS VERY POSSIBLE

Hey everyone! I posted in the thread on the main lobby the other day but this is my first post here. I do a combo of weight watchers and Atkins. My main goals to work on between now and May are:
Keep my carbs under 40
Exercise 4 or more days a week
Get to the 150's by my 5th Atkinsversary

Today's menu:
B: 1 flax bun, 3 pieces of turkey bacon, 1 egg, and 1 cup soy milk
L: 1 piece of tuna casserole, green beans, and lima beans
D: 1 South Beach diet ham & turkey wrap sandwich kit, 2 cups of soy milk, and broccoli

At just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. --Romans 5:6-8
