Hiya Meekness! Was wondering where you'd been! Missed ya!
No, you're not the only one "not losing" ~ you and me BOTH!

Seems I just keep losing the same 5 lbs over & over since March 3rd!
I was Somersizing for 2 weeks; started Atkins Induction March 24th.

For me, I'm not weighing myself again until April 5th. That will be two weeks. I just cannot bear to watch the scale go up & down every day!

Hey Gina, I am really trying to keep in mind what you said above: Just stick with it and no matter what ~ I WILL feel and look better for my Hawaii trip! Also, PLEASE tell me about Coconut Oil? WHY is that considered beneficial to weight loss?

I subscribe to 5 threads and it's the only way I can remember where I’ve been! hehehe!

Is it normal to be a bit constipated? I have been a little uncomfortable this week, but drank Smooth Move herbal tea last night, and things seem to be moving again! I'm also taking Psyllium Husk every day (since Monday). Is this part of the "Induction Flu"?

I'm doing better day by day on my Total Carb intake:

24 Monday
22 Tuesday
20 Wednesday

And I'm going to keep a closer eye on the heavy cream, butter & cheese (only 4 ounces daily, right?) and the red meat. I'm buying mostly (free range/organic) turkey & chicken. And salads every night. Boy I miss fruit! And chocolate!

What are you all eating?? Would love to see your daily menu's! Thanks!

Thanks Hummingbird.

I have lost more weight this month than last so I am happy over that. More important is the fact that I have continued to keep my goals of more water and exercise each day.

Now If I could stop losing my BREAST and start losing my BUT my DH would be so much more happier.

Hey I know I'm a little late but I also need to lose 30lbs Buy the End of May. I started on March 3rd and have since lost 11 lbs. I have been walking/jogging 4 times a week 2 miles in 33 min. trying to improve that. The reason (other than being depressed) for my sudden weight loss need is a trip to Hawaii June 6th. I so want to look halfway decient by then.
I have been having shin splint problems and trying to find other ways to stay active. The pool is almost to a swimming temp of 75° so thats a possibility. I also have a terrible Friday happy hour (beer) addiction.
Oh well enough about me.
I'll have to go back and read to get to know eveyone here.
Hope you don't mind I popped in?!

S: 1/8 No Bake Lemon Cheesecake
D: Parmesan Tilapia
D: Mashed Cauliflower
D: Lettuce & Tomato Salad + Newman's Own Light Italian Dressing
S: couple bites No Bake Lemon Cheesecake
21 Net Carbs

Water; Water; Water and More Water! And Water! Did I mention Water? Water! Oh yeah, and Water!

BUT I need to be exercising MORE. a LOT more.
What kind of exercise is everyone else doing ??

And I'm going to keep a better eye on my cheese/cream intake. How much are we allowed per day?
I don't have my book yet. (should arrive soon via Amazon)

Exercise 30 min today. NO KIDS, NO DH just wanted to relax a little more tonight.

B- Eggs and ham
L- 2 chicken patties, hot peppers
S- Ground beef, cheese and green beans

Lots of water, water, water, snacks included some peanut buter and celery. Oils accounted for by what I fried the eggs in.

Feeling so much better.... The DR. magic pill has worked.

I think tomorrow I need to measure body fat.. I really think that when the scale does not move or the tape measure the BF will...

I am off to do situps....

Hey Ya'll... sorry I've been MIA for awhile. My eating has been ALL OVER THE PLACE Anyways, I'm refocused. I finally got engaged and planning an early June wedding. I'm fighing my way back down to 148 ! I have more than 30lbs to lose now I know I can atleast make it to 163 by my wedding day. I have faith!!!

How is everyone else doing???

Good Morning everyone!! Thanks hummingbird!!! And as far as menu's go...Im not sure if this is a bad thing but I don't write anything down (like journaling etc) I don't really count my carbs I just keep them low. I'm almost positive I never have over 20 a day. I basically eat
B-2 turkey sausage 2 boiled eggs
L-chic breast and salad greens (or carrots)
S-baby carrots
D-either steak,chic ,breast or salmon
salad with spritzer dressing

I would love to get 30 lbs off by may. I was down a pound this morning. I'm not gonna get my hopes up just yet because I no it's water weight. Ive lost about 6 so far and this is my first real week. I played around with the thought over the weekend before monday....Hope everyone have a great day!!!!!!

I'm still here but struggling. I have been stuck at 227 for awhile (except for one day I saw 225.5 and promptly changed my stats) so I decided to give something different a try. I'm doing a little carb cycling. There are lots of different version (just google "carb cycling"). but what I'm trying is 4 days of what is essentially maintenance (not a junk fest) and then induction until you lose what ever you gained on the up days and some new weight. Once you stick at the same low weight for 3-4 days, back to maintenence.

I rambled on about it in a post in the main lobby if anyone is interested (I don't know how to link posts- its titled 'Wish me luck" on 3/25).

Anyway, I'm on my 4th "carb up" day. I've been at 227.5 or 228.5 every "up" day so far. Back to induction tomorrow. We'll see what happens.

Hummingbird, there have been tons of posts about CO and I just read a book called Eat Fat Lose Fat about the benefits of CO. Its a different type of fat that keeps you full and helps your skin, nails, hair and all cells. You can use it like ant other oil, make a candy out of it or just add it to a warm drink. There are different types depending on how it was processed but I can't remember all the details. Check the thread on it, they have much better info than I do.

Congratulations on the trip to HI! That is cool!

As for exercise, I use a Total Gym (that thing on TV with Chuck Norris) knockoff and I love it. It really is fun to use. I live in a hilly neighborhood near the beach so walking is good too. When you walk in soft sand it is a work-out all the wasy to your hips!

Hey Hummingbird...that is so cool that you are going to Hawaii too. I am going to Kauai staying in Princeville. I have never been to Hawaii and we had an available week from our timeshare so DH and another couple thought why not!
Yes I do believe 30lbs in 90 days is a lot but I really hope I can do at least 25. ( I have a bet with someone)
Yesterday was not a good day. I cheated so bad...1st time in almost 4 weeks. I had fried shrimp w/fries and cheesecake. I don't know what came over me other than my blood sugar was low I was very moody and I was starving. DH and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch some basketball and It all went down hill from there. I figure my sysem needed the shock to let it know I was not starving it to death. Hopefully it worked. My scale was only up 1 lb.
Today I have had a
B-string cheese and coffee with cream and splenda
and will have:
L- Hamburger protein style from In and Out
D-Cob Salad

Saturday Roll Call, Weigh in Day...

Hello, all. Hope everyone had a loverly holiday weekend (and have recovered!)

It's Saturday, weigh in...I'm down 2.2 lbs for the week, so have 13.6 to get to 30 lb. goal. I'm hopeful at this point if I can keep losing between 2-3 lbs. I'll make this goal. Expensive vacations are good motivation!

One of my daughter's friends hadn't seen me for about a month, and he noticed my weight loss (what a thrill when a 20 year old guy notices!) He joked that I must be trying to get sexy for Mickey (he knows we're going to DisneyWorld this summer.) Anyhow, made my day!

Hope everyone is getting some nice Spring weather...I'm actually getting in some outdoors walks finally.

Have a great ON PLAN week ahead...We CAN do this!

Wow Hummingbird great job....5.5 that is so awsome..now I bet you feel like your getting somewhere.
Cante keep up the good work. I love when other people notice. You really know your doing good then.
So when do we weigh? Every Sat or every other? I am down 2 Lbs (155) so that 12lbs gone and 18lbs to go in (9 weeks and 3 days tilll my Hawaii trip) I have to lose 2lbs a week.
I though for sure I messed it up with 2 bad days in a row. Fired shrip and FF and then Pizza (with crust) and beer the next day. I was having a bad couple days with my Dep.
Any Way I jumped right back in the boat and started sailing and I still ended up 2 lbs down. Cool!

Oh my menu for the last couple days has been about the same
B-Sausage, Bacon, mushroom ,cheses and egg cassarole
L-Salad with the works egg, meat cheese,cc,red onion ect....
D-Steak and Salad or Turkey with gravy and bacon onion and mushroom green beans
I drink 4-5 9 oz bottles of water a day but also 1 diet soda and 1 cup coffe and 1 cup green tea.
