Just checking in also. I hope everyone is able to stay on plan during the weekend. I have absolutely no intentions of going off plan. In fact, I am trying to arm myself with prepared foods. I think my weight is 212 or so right now. My scale is not working properly so I really can't be sure. Just guessing. I am going to find another scale to use to check my weight and then give my stats again.

Sounds like everyone is doing great!
![]() We had our biggest loser weigh in at work today and I was down 2 pounds. We have two more weeks to go so I need to step it up so I can win (winner gets $120). After the weigh in this evening my sister and I worked out together at the Y. We did 35 minutes on the precores and 10 on the treadmill. We ran into a trainer we had worked with a while ago and he said he noticed a big difference in both of us and complimented us on doing a good job. Menu today: B: ham sandwich on a flax bun, coffee with 2 T. half and half L: oopsie and soy milk (breakfast was late) D: 2 pieces of fish, green beans, lima beans

Good Morning ALL!
![]() Well my first weigh in was a success ![]() Got on the scale this morning and......269 7lbs in 5 days Only 23lbs to go for this challenge More after but this challenge first! Now I know the first week of restart/induction always seems to have great results but it still feels good and so do I I was reading another thread briefly and saw that they do a "Roll Call" every Saturday morning where everyone in the challenge posts their accomplishments/updates. Sounds like a plan. What do you think? I like it better than weighing in daily. Good Luck to all---keep up the hard yet FUN work ![]() Hope to hear from you all soon. BTW Congrats Kelly ![]() John

Happy Monday, all...
Funny for the week: Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation leans on the doorbell. Sounds like most were able to ignore the "doorbell" last week and had a good week...let's stay on plan this week. That goal is looking even more attainable. I keep looking at pics of Disneyworld & thinking about how much easier that million-miles of walking will be with less extra lbs. to tote around! Have a good one... |

Morning Peeps!
yesterdays eats b - 2 eggs, 2 rr s - 2 c vanilla caramel tea l - unstuffed cabbage, 1 square 72% ghiradelli dark choco s - more tea, small pc of ital lf cc chicken, cukes w/vinegar & lf sc d - 1 cup ww spaghetti w/meat s - nsa klondike 200 oz of water no exercise a while ago someone posted a link to send for a free sample of SB Living. I just got mine today. I got the mixed berry granola clusters. I am going to try them for a snack this morning. I don't think this is something I would purchase regularly because the cranberries in it are covered in SUGAR! and sugar is listed as an ingredient. Too many things I can't pronounce! I also received a sample of a drink mix, the kind you mix in a bottle of water. I might try that this weekend. Saturday is supposed to be my DH company gathering for them for having a great sales year. I might pick up a new top today when I go to pay my fashion bug bill. If I remember I will have DH take my pic and post it in my profile! Now that I've re-read the SBD book and have a better understanding I am very excited for the new book to come out! Today is my 9 month anniversary on SB! Hope everyone is doing well!

Hello Everyone,
I had almost forgotten I joined this group and then it dawned on me today that I hadnt checked in here for a few days. I have great news, I joined the 50 pd club today!! I have been waiting on that goal for sometime now and it also put me a little over the half way point to my goal of 150. It also dawned on me that I didnt note what weight I was at when I joined this group, so I wont know when I get to the 30 pds lost, oh well I think I was around 198, it will be an estimate. I hope everyone has a great day and keeps up the good work, WE CAN AND WILL DO THIS !! Kelly

Good Morning Ladies!
Yesterday I decided to have a totally off plan day. Of course I'm up several lbs this morning. I am ok with that tho, cause I made a conscious decision to make the day off plan. I'm not gonna post my menu cause you don't really wanna know! I am back totally OP today.I think DS12 may have broken another bone! We haven't even had the last follow up visit for his broken arm! He came home from school yesterday and showed me his thumb. It is twice the normal size and black and blue. I am calling his dr today to get an appt to have it looked at and xrayed. I'll let you know how that turns out.THEN this morning I found lice in my daughters hair. AGAIN! I am sick over this. I DO NOT like bugs. This is like the 3rd time in 4 months. I don't know what to do. Why she keeps getting them. I just wanna cry, seriously cry. Anyone have experience with these nasty critters? |

Thank you tinatina...
Thank you tinatina for responding to the message I posted in the Main page regarding this category. As you can see by my join date I've only been a member for a couple of weeks now and I'm still finding my way around the website.
I know I'm a little late starting this challenge and you all have a head start on me, but I would still like to join if allowed. I truly need some motivation. Summer will be here shortly and I'm not very good at handling hot weather. Anyway, I hope to join your challenge. The stories I've read are such an inspiration. Like I said, I'm brand new to this site and so I'm not real familiar with all the "ins" and "outs," abbreviations and all of that. Take care. |

me too, me too
I'd like to join!!
I've been lurking around this site for years and have never posted. I finally registered around the first of the year when I they wouldn't let me read anymore. We have a trip planned to Yellowstone at the end of June and I would really love to be under 200 by then. The timeline and amounts are so close I figured this challenge is a good fit ![]() I haven't eaten yet today, but I am planning: B...Scrambled eggs with ham L...Tuna salad D...Grilled fish and brocolli My weakness is sweets after dinner and coming home from school starving (just like when I was a kid...but now I'm the teacher ). I've been packing an extra cheese stick in my lunch for afterschool and that has been helping, but that desert devil has been harder to tame.Anyway, enough about me. I feel accountable all ready. |

Roll call Saturday...
Welcome to our 30 lbs/May challenge newbies
...we've basically all got specific goals in sight for May or early summer (a couple of us are headed to Disney World, some others to other vacay spots, some weddings, and some just want to enjoy wearing summer clothes more!) Different WOE's, but that's o.k. to, we're goal oriented here! Saturday "roll call" was suggested for everyone to check in, detail progress, etc. 'Course you can post more often, too, especially if you find it helpful to keep on plan.Did well again this week (I can be oh-so-focused for da Mouse!) Down 3.2 lbs. since last Saturday, cycling Stillmans/Atkins. Doing basic exercises 10 min (arms, legs, push ups, sit ups, etc.) and doing 55 min per day on recumbent exercise bike. Meekness, hope your oral surgery went well (I hate the dentist, but it's hard to eat well without good chompers! )

B- 1 egg and sauage L- Chicken Salad Supper-- BIG MISTAKE... Pasta, and cheesecake I know, I know... No exercise today. Not feeling well and now I know why... I think I just need to go down stairs and get on the treadmil and exercise. |

I've only been here since yesterday and I am down a pound! I hauled out my Total Gym (from where it has been since we moved 18 mos ago) and set it up last night. I'm going to go work out on it when I get off here.
Food was good yesterday, I did cave a bit after dinner and had some SF bananna pudding with SF whipped cream but that was much better than some of the other desert concoctions that have found their way to me lately. Tina, I have dealt with the wee-beasties, but I have boys with short hair. Ugh, I feel for you having to deal with girl's hair. Sometimes they make the rounds at school no matter what you do at home. Make sure you have washed everything she might have come in contact with in super hot water and a hot dryer. Anything you can't wash, bag up in a garbage bag until the little boogers starve. Vacuum all the carpets and all your furniture. If you are doing all these things aready, she might be picking it up from a friend or someone at school who's parents are as conscientious. There always seems to be a family that doesn't deal with it properly. I had a school nurse tell me once that teachers don't get them very often because we use a lot of product on our hair, especially hair spray. Maybe a ponytail and braid, with a good spray of hairspray might help keep her from getting them again. The lice shampoos are too harsh to use if you don't absolutely need them, but I've heard they don't like Head and Shoulders. After we got the initial infestation cleared up, I had my kids wash their hair with Head and Shoulders every other time or so until the wave at school passed. They didn't get them again. Could have been luck, but the hairspray and H&S shampoo didn't hurt. My plan for the day B...sausage patty with cheese L...tuna salad D...grilled chicken and cauliflower Ex..Total Gym and maybe a walk (it is gorgeous here today) |
