Hey girl! Good for you getting out there working out! I'm still been to lazy to get out and do anything! I'm still up from that partying over the weekend and I have to admit I had some chex mix too blech, but I figured I could've done a lot worse. Anyway
I get my flax meal from a health store here, you should be able to find some there, but honestly I didn't enjoy the 1 min muffin, I just couldn't get passed that flax taste, maybe I'll try it again b/c I've got this flax just sitting here collecting dust. It's such a beautiful day outside maybe I'll drag my butt oout there and do something.

Do you think Flax seed would work? I have two bags of that from CVS...
Don't worry about the cheating, I mean we all do it. If I didn't have the kids it would be so much easier, but I'm always "accidentally" grabbing a bite here and a bite there. I have to say though THE ONLY CHEAT AT ALL I'VE HAD THIS WEEK WAS TODAY I ate a bite of one of those chocolate pies, you know the lil cheap ones that are shapes like a half moon, and filled with ooey goodness. Well, I had to go pick up Jelly beans to fill my daughters easter eggs for their easter hunt tomorrow, and I also had to go to the grocery to pick up sandwich meat to make finger sandwich's for thier picnic afterwards. Well, I thought since I was on my way after that to pick her up I'd suprise her with one of the pies (and a box of fish for them all to share) and of course as soon as she said "mom can you open it for me"...I had to "taste it" I just ate the lil corner piece though and it said the whole thing is 60 carbs, 1 gram of fiber and 3 grams protein...so wonder how much damage I did. I swear it was just the lil end piece not even a mouth full. On a good note the grocery store I went too I don't normal frequent so while I was getting the ham from the deli, I noticed they had my favorite ham ever growing up. Don't know if you've heard of it but its called Chisesi's ham...omg its so good with its salty buttery goodness! I can't wait to have it on a oopsie tomorrow for lunch. Tonight we had grilled buffalo chicken sandwich's, loaded brocoli ( bacon bits, butter, chedder cheese-would have been tha bomb with sour cream but didn't have any) and yellow squash. I know thats a no no but hey its a veggie...lol My menu has been good all week. I tried the Zucchini Taco Pizza last night, and omg that is even better than the cauli pizza! ![]() Guess what, just between me and you-I'm having a rum and diet pepsi drink tonight. I have just had a bad week so it's enivitable! So if I drunk type tonight-DON'T HATE...LOL

LMAO
at the drunk typing!! I know about that all too well!!!! HahahaI don't think you did to much damage with the piece of pie you did, so just keep on keeping on. I know with me sometimes I get into that all or nothing mentality and if I go off plan, I mean I reallly go off plan, so I'm trying to be better. Oooo I'm going to have try that zucchini pizza this weekend then! B/c I enjoyed the cauli pizza but if that's even better than woooohooo ![]() But I hear ya about the drink, I think I may need one this weekend too, soo stressed out seems like I've got way to much going on and I'm constantly feeling like I'm forgetting something, so I just need to relax and chill for a sec.. Check in with ya later ![]() |

I just realized I didn't answer your question you had about resistance training, but from what I've read and from my own experience the callenetics 10 years younger in 10 hours seems to be the best, it looks easy but it isn't and it seems to have the best results. I think I got the dvd for about 10 bucks and I got the book 3 bucks both from amazon. I definitely need to start that back up. Maybe tomorrow.
So I did a bit of jogging after class tonight!! And my reward is 1 sugar free miniature reece cup, so I've decided every day that I exercise that will be my reward. They are sooo good too! |

Blah, today sucked.
I had to bring K to her easter egg hunt at the park today. And I was surrounded by pastries and sweets galore! I eneded up taking a bite of a brownie and a sip of regular coke. But other than that I had celery dipped in ranch, and a few chicken nuggets, and a few peices of cubed chedder cheese. Then lunch was the worst part...my friends invited me to this seafood place and I only had $15 for all of us to eat on so I ended up ordering a seafood platter=fried food! So yeah, I had a stuffed shrimp, a lil of a stuffed crab, and a peice of fish and a lil coleslaw. ugggh! But the good news is I got my new areobic striptease dvd from netflix today. So I excercised like theres no tomorrow! and I ate a decent dinner. Hamburger steak, and asparagus. I will have to look for that dvd the callnetics one that is...Thats weird that we both got on at the same time ![]() |

Don't beat yourself up over it to much. Just keep on plan like it didn't happen. I know it can be hard sometimes so just brush it off and keep at it girl. We can do it.
I was thinking on my way to school today that the first time I did Atkins I started at 190 which was my highest weight ever. I lost about 30 lbs and got down to about 160, then I had a really traumatic event happen and I said to hell with it all, and I let myself go, I mean REALLY let myself go. So long story short I gain back those 30 lbs I lost then gained an additional 25 lbs on top of that, so I gained about 55 lbs and that did it, I mean that sent me over the edge. So I came up hopped my big butt on that treadmill and jogged as long as I could take it. I've gotta keep that thought of how far I let myself go to help me stay on track. Anyway I'm through venting, but that really pissed me off when I thought about how I just let myself go like that. |

Hey Girl, I decided I'm going to try to do m/e for a few days then have a day full of veggies then m/e for another few days and rotate like that. I'm sick of bouncing around up and down on the scale. I've got to get it together asap! Here's the link to a thread I found MEAT AND EGG, 3-5 Days or Until You Reach Goal***You Decide***MARCH 1-31 ***

I've thought about meat, eggss, and brocoli diet...lol
I basically thought of all the things I love and could handle every day and the only thing I came up with is eggs and sausage, baked chicken and brocoli. I don't know if I could do that yet. I know whats stalling me its the darn alcohol. Don't even get me started on tacos and real pizza! I'm hungry just thinking about a taco man! |

Day 1 of m/e done! And let me tell you I started feeling soo crappy last night, I had the headache and just felt blah
but I made it through and it works I'm back down to 196!!!! ![]() I'm going to try to keep it up til Sunday, then on Monday have a regular atkins day at induction levels. I have to keep in mind that when I cheat it usually takes me about 1 week to get back to where I am so saying that no one can stop the weightloss except for me and I don't want to go down that road again. So I'm hoping these few days of m/e will keep me into a deep deep ketosis. I think I'll cycle doing this to help reach goal faster. ![]() How are things going over that way for you? ![]() |

good for you I think I will try this m/e method starting Monday. Cause I'm sick of it too! Even though I know its my fault, but at least my cheat day will be regular induction level stuff, ya know!
So when you say cycling what does that really mean as in how many days of one of the other? Today we brought the kids to a easter egg hunt, it was fun they loved it! I also got a new haircut...its sooo cute. I will share a pic as soon as I can straighten it. It was all cute this morning but after running around helping them hunt eggs I got so yucky that I took a shower as soon as I walked in the door. I also got subway. GOD I'm sooo bad! I know you don't wanna hear that espeically sittin ova there eating meat and eggs. But you have to hold me accountable remember...lol I'll give the m/e thing a try Monday. Whats your menu look like I might add? Can I eat breakfast sausage? and what happens if I do eat say Brocoli? cause I could eat eggs and breakfast sausage in the morn. and brocoli and grilled chicken for lunch everyday and I'm good! |

I can't wait to see the new do!!
![]() I guess the cycling for me will be 3 days of m/e then one day just a regular lo carb day with lots of veggies and salads, I don't think I'll be to strict on myself on those days in how many carbs I have, as long as I keep it as clean as possible. Then I'll try and go through 2-3 more days of m/e then repeat the cycle all over, till I get closer to goal. I was reading earlier about carb cycling which sounds very interesting and I think I will do something like that once I get closer to goal. It is basically say 30g carbs one day, 60g the next day, 120g the next then start over at 30... Don't take my word on that I'm working from memory here But not reg processed carbs still good carbs, like whole grains, oats, fruits, and veggies. Sounds good to me!!![]() OOOooo I know I've written a book today, but I just remembered. I saw my sis today who hasn't seen me in about 2 weeks and she was like GIRRRRLLLL you've lost weight, said she could tell in my face esp but she said she def could notice a difference, so that made me feel so good, stupid bf (i know he sees me everyday) hardly says a thing hmmmpfff Oooo I forgot to update on how day 2 m/e is going this morning I woke up a LOT earlier then normal, I still felt blah with the headaches and quesy feeling, but after I ate I started feeling much better. I've been eating those 2 for 3 dollar cheeseburgers from hardees a lot b/c they are so convenient, and some grilled chicken I had in the fridge, and a bacon when I just need something quick ( i loooove bacon) they say don't over do the bacon, so I'm trying not to go overboard. I make make some tuna salad in a bit with some mayo and egg too. Basically just eating easy stuff thats easy to grab. Right now I'm feeling a lot better than I did last night and the hunger is starting to go away. Yesterday I had to make sure I ate something every couple of hours, but today is much easier. And as for you miss subway You could did a lot worse, so at least you are making better choices when you do cheat, which is what it is all about I think. I swear trying to lose weight has been one of the hardest things I've had to do, I never imagined when I was younger it would control my life like this. But we all stumble and like I said you are making better choice b/c this is a lifetime commitment so don't beat yourself up over it, and jump right back into lo carb asap!Last edited by StartingOver : 03-15-2008 at 05:46 PM. Hmm I tried to add this to my last post, but it's not showing up.
Sorry for a writing a book, but anyway I saw my sis who hasn't seen my in a couple of weeks and she was like GIRRRLLLL you have lost weight!!! She said she could def see it in my face and my jeans were falling off, it really made me feel so good. We use to walk together and I've tried to get her to do lo carb with me but she says she's just to stressed to do it right now, single mom 2 little ones working full time so she def has her hands full. But anyway it did make my day to know that my loss is noticable, b/c stupid bf always says he can't tell b/c he sees me everyday hmmmppfff |

Anyway.... It is confessional time..... I waas doing sooooo good on my m/e and bf orders 2 not 1 but 2 med pizzas from pizza hut, which I overindulged in AND french fries |

thank you! Well I wasn't going to confess to this but I also had a huge cheat. cheeseburger, fries with chili and cheese and dr pepper from sonic!!!
![]() But like I said I'm starting your plan tomorrow. I didn't even get on the scale today...I think I'll wait a week for real this time. I can't face it. Not now anyway. I really want to be sorta hot by summer ya know. My goal isn't to get in a bathing suit by any means, I know that aint happenin' But at least be able to wear some shorts instead of capris. on a good note I got $124 of easter stuff for $60.xx today. If I didn't mention before I'm a hardcore bargain shopper. So that felt good to get bags and bags of stuff for hardly nothing! And I do it every week, so if ya ever want me to teach ya I will. I havn't gotten the actually food alone bill down but everything elese I pretty much get for free or get paid to take it ![]() I am sooo dissappointed in myself today for pigging out |

So mad at myself but u live and u learn. So how about we both re commit today to have a CLEAN week!! I def try to bargain shop when I can but it usually never works, you have GOT to tell me your secrets!!!! |

It's 11 here and I havn't eaten yet but think I'll have a big piece of grilled chicken. TOM has decided to visit today so this week should be easy for me since I don't have much of an appetite during that time anyway ![]() |

What do you think about this? Do you think it'll be possible for me to drop about 30-35lbs in 2 months alternating m/e. I guess the reason I'm trying to fast track my weight loss is summer session starts on 5/21 and I can't really hide in sweaters and jeans b/c of the heat... do you think it's possible with exercise?

yes I think its possible. Hard but possible. I feel ya though. At least with me I can hide at home...lol. Don't really have any comitted place I have to attend. But, I'm sick of all my friends with their cute tans, and sleevless tank tops and short shorts. And I'm sitting in long capris, and a frumpy shirt.
I want to be cute this summer TOOOOO! So let's do this damn thing!!! I do have to say that Atkins has gotten more complicating it seems. I thought I was going to eat everything I wanted to as long as it wasn't "carbs" But I'm willing to do whatever. I had two eggs and 2 peices of deer sausage already and I'm about to have a peice of grilled chicken. Dinner is buffalo chicken wings! Are you still eating oopsies? it is eggs and cream cheese... |

I told you those burgers were good
, they have saved me many many times. I haven't been doing the oopies, to darn lazy to honestly. I haven't ate anything all day yet, I had the root canals done today on my 2 front teeth so I don't have much of appetite right now. I def don't want this to be an excuse for me to go off plan though. I know exactly what you mean. I get so jealous of my skinny friends and their cute outfits and shoes, and here I am in some baggy jeans and a tshirt and sneakers, uggh I'm sick of it!!! Come on girl lets show em what WE got!!! ![]() |

Hey Girl, just checking in with ya! I had a good day yesterday, root canals and all.
But, I honestly think my bf is trying to sabatoge my efforts. He made some italian hot dogs and I swear I felt like a teenager with the way he kept trying to pressure me into having some of his food. I would tell him politely NO THANK YOU, and he'd go on and on about how one bite wouldn't make me gain a thousand pounds that it'd be okay and I was like noooo leave me alone!! Geeez he wouldnt' lay off, I didn't end up having any of his food, but it was just weird how he wouldn't leave me alone to have some of his food... I wonder if I'm just being paranoid, but I think he'd rather me stay this size I dunno... it was incredibly weird. What do you think?? |

hmmmm...I'm sure he loves you just the way you are, and doesn't like seeing you be yourself up over every lil bite!
My husband has done that to me too. But, he actually needs to lose weight himself, so when he did it, he was also just feeling guilty he was having all the yummy "NO, NO" food I couldn't have. Like Saturday when we were at his moms, he had some kind of cookie or cake. Because to him one is ok. So he's sitting there eating it and asking me do I want a bite "no"..come on why not.."b/c" and he kept on. I finally looked at him and said I don't care what you do thats your business, but I'm not going to make you feel better about eating that cookie by taking a bite! But, like I said its a different situation because he's trying to do atkins with me. At least you have a bf that does love you no matter what. But at the same time he does need to be supportive or elese you'll get too comfortable and give up. I know thats how I started gaining to begin with. We got together and I slowly got lazy and didnt care if I gained a lil, because he didn't care. And you'd think he'd still care about himself. He had just lost 100 lbs in 8 months on Atkins right before meeting me. I didn't do that great yesterday, but I am today. I'm about to go cook some zucchini fries. Did I tell you I've been doing striptease aerobics..lol. You won't believe the pressure I have been getting from hubby about giving him a show. gawd, whatever. Its fun though. And it is a workout. I thought it was just going to get me in the mood to "workout" Nope, after I do a whole segment I'm whooped! |
