Morning gals:

The expected snow stayed south of us this morning :yay:

I made a yummy taco salad for dinner last night, it was so good I had seconds. It had taco meat, green taco sauce, jalepeno sauce, sour cream and parmesean cheese. My daughter even liked it and she doesnt like anything I make. I'm going to have some more tonight.

Hubby is still having fun visiting with family. His littlest niece is clinging onto him whenever she sees him. They are going to have such a hard time saying good-bye.

I had some deer sausage and deer jerky yesterday, it was really good, but again, the weight bounced back up from it. I wonder if it had sugar in it.

It seems like you have problems with the processed meats. It could be sugar and/or Salt.

Lot's of people have problems with Ham.

Hey, that's a good thing to know, about the processed meats. That way if you choose to eat them, you'll know there will be a little water weight gain with them.

Good Morning. It's an early day for me today.

How is everyone doing with their eating plan? Jean? Last time I remember you were doing low carb and lower in fat. Are you still doing that?

My Menu for today is:

B: 2 Cooked eggs, mashed with butter

L: Hamburger pattie w/mayo and a tossed salad.

D: Steak (rare) and Broccoli

I've been stepping up my exercise. Gotta get ready for swimsuits and the lake. I can't wait for the weather to get warmer to take long walks with the dogs.

LostandFound, where the heck are you?

Hippiegirl, I have had you in my thoughts and prayers.

You are early today! I've just come back from the shops - I did most of the shopping for our weekend visitors yesterday, but I'm doing fish tonight, so I wanted to get that fresh this morning. I also picked up a large piece of sirloin to roast on Sunday.

I won't be around much at the weekend, but I hope you all have a good time. I'll catch up with you afterwards.

Morning gals:

I am here.

Spent some time in the yard last night, chopping down molehills. I wanted to get some moss-out on the grass but couldn't find the broadcast spreader. I also did a little pruning, I forgot to get at the roses, so I'll try to do them tonight.

If its decent out on Saturday, I'll do a fire and burn up some of the yard waste that has accumulated.

I had ice on my windshield this morning but my neighbor didn't, whats up with that? I also had some flurries on my way into the office.

Greetings,

I have a commitment at 12:45 PM so will stop by long enough to wish everyone a great weekend.

Yes, Tooter, I have cut down a little bit on fat but not much. My weight has been staying steady, although I have been increasing my exercise. I still eat too many pumpkin seeds. :'(

I am so glad you are busy and busy with exercise too. I was so worried about you, after your visit with David. I was worried that you were depressed.

Pumpkin seeds, eh? LOL Are you a little chipmonk that stores them in your cheeks? LMAO

I'm finally at the point that I can have a handful of nuts and that's it. OMG, in the beginning? I couldn't stop eating the nuts and the shelled kind, didn't slow me down. It was heck on weight loss too.

I think it was more of the physical need to eat? Or should I say...Snack?

Hey, you are getting vitamin E and Omega 3's from those sunflower seeds. that's a Good thing!

Ok, let's take a vote. Click had given me her phone number in one of the PM's she sent me.

She hasn't been on since the 23rd. I was thinking that I will give it until this weekend for her to check in, then I think I should call her and check up on her?

What do you guys think?

Be honest. I don't want to bug her, nor make her feel guilty for not being here. I just want to make sure she is ok.

I'm not going to do anything until you guys respond with your opinions.

Thanks!

I'd say it is officially snowing here. Unusual for this neck of the woods. I never see snow at the office. Wonder what its doing at home.

Tooter, I don't think Click would feel offended - I think she'd be touched that you care enough to check. I've been worried to, that we haven't heard anything at all.

It sounds as if my young visitors are on the move, so my quiet few minutes is probably over .

Catch up with you all on Monday .

I agree, Tooter, I think you should ring her up. She would be happy that you cared enough to call. We need an update on her.

MMmmm chocolate milk... found this recipe on the dutch atkins forum.....

In a mug, mix 2 or more tablespoons cocoa powder, mix in some heavy whipping cream and some sweetner.

Mix well.

Add cold water (for chocolate milk) or hot water (for hot chocolate). Top with whipping cream if desired.

Truffles

3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
sweetener to taste
cocoa powder

Melt butter in microwave, add sweetener and whipping cream, once its creamy, put in the freezer to thicken. Make balls and roll in cocoa powder.

Sounds yummy.

Wow, I wish I had heavy cream in the house. Those truffles sound fabulous.

I'm going to try a Dana Carpenter recipe: Crockpot Chicken in Creamy Orange Sauce. I'll let you know how it is.

Hello...Everyone!!!!

I'm sorry that I haven't been here lately. I feel that there aren't enough hours to the day. I've been filling-in at work...what I told you about the last time I was on here...the work that made "bills paid" for April. I sooooo need to find a different job, as it seems that I work, work, and I work...and still don't have much to show for it. I have been averaging 4 hours sleep all week, and my schooling has been slacking. I need to get on it tomorrow!!!! (I could use a massage, as my muscles are all so sore from the industrial cleaning.) I still have boxes everywhere...not as many...but they are still there!!!!

I just wanted to stop in, and say "HI!!!!" I will "talk" more...later this week, as things get back to "normal".
