I really don't know what would be best???? The town that we are going to already started the next semester. If I wait...they'd be further into their grading period. Once I know for sure that I have a place...I might ask his teachers if they could give him his work ahead...and give him his grade for the grading period.

What do you think of that idea?

I would call the high school counsellor at his new school and ask for advice. Kids do this all the time, so they should be well versed in the best way to approach the transition.

My battery is dying, so I need to go.

Sleep good, Clicky.

L&F, congrats on the cheque (that's how we spell it over here). I'd ask the schools and your son about the best time to move, then decide.

For those who wanted to know, this is from an on-line etymological dictionary:
Quote:
fart
Old English feortan, ult. from Proto-Indo-European *perd- (cf. Old High German ferzan, Old Norse freta, Sanskrit pard, Greek perdein, Lithuanian perdzu, Russian perdet), of imitative origin.
Woe, have a good Lent. See you at Easter.

Do you have pancakes for Shrove Tuesday in America? We have the thin kind - crêpes, not the fluffy American pancake kind. Traditionally they were sprinkled with sugar and lemon and/or orange juice.

My husband volunteered more reassurance about my weight last night. He says he thinks I'm at a weight that looks very good, and probably in the middle of the band - up or down half a stone (7 pounds) would be OK, but would be getting to the edges of where I'd want to be. He also said that if he ever thought I was getting too thin he would say something. Well, first he said he'd stop me, then rethought it . I thought it was sweet of him to see that this was something that was actually getting to me a bit, and make the effort to give me a thought out answer. It's so hard not to have our ideas of appropriate size over-influenced by all the super-skinny media images.

Having some input from him and from Tooter yesterday, I feel a lot better about it today - not so caught up in chasing my thoughts round in circles .

Just because we can doesn't mean we should.

Good morning, Tooter!!!!

Two hour delay here....because of fog.

This is what the youngest will do .....but I already turned his alarm off. So, maybe, he won't even know....until I wake him up.

Yesterday, I had a talk with the oldest....again!!!! I told him that he should do whatever it takes to get through this semester of college here, but that I wouldn't trust his Grandparents enough to put his whole college future on the line with them. I told him that I thought that he should finish this semester here, and then, we should either get him into the main campus with dorms, or he should come to Minnesota, and complete his degree there. He said that he will see how things go here. KIDS!!!! They just don't realize all that it takes....we can't just wait, and "See how things go". There is alot to do with "ANY" changes, and many things just can't be done last minute.

Last night my youngest, and I, were joking around. (Hopefully, Mom and Dad didn't hear us...we got a little mean!!!) He said..."I can't wait to have my own little room again." Then, I said,"I can't wait to take a shower whenever I want." He said, "WELL...I can't wait to not have to worry about waking someone up if I need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night." I said, "I can't wait to get a good night's rest." This just kept going on and on.....and on!!! Then, we laughed.

Where did you buy Walden Farms brand of things? I'm just trying to keep track of "where" to find everything, as I will be starting out with completely bare cupboards, and fridge!!!

HEY TOOTER!!!! Do you want to come and do some shopping for me...with coupons? It would be fun for you...because I need EVERYTHING!!!!!!! Fun for me....because I'd get to see you in person!!!!
