I didn't peek at all last year.. I hid my lowcarb bookmarks in my "misc" folder...
It's a very messy folder that I don't venture into much..

When does Lent start and end? Just curious.

ETA - nevermind. It starts day after tomorrow and ends on Easter? I think I figured it out.

Well, you just have to occupy yourself with other things, I guess.

Lunchtime

Tooter, I cheated a week ago with a snickers bar, and some dessert at the company party. Then I gained 8lbs, 5 are off now, 3 still remain. I dont think I ate enough calorie wise to justify a 3lb gain.

Menu today:

B:2 cups coffee with cream
L: 3 oopsies with tuna, mayo and deli ham
D: ?

Making more oopsies and some lunches tonight. Will probably make some pierogi filling.

Don't get me wrong, I wasnt trying to whine. I'm committed to sticking with this way of eating, just was wondering if a different approach may help.

I was really hoping to lose quicker into onederland before I started stalling or going backwards. My goal is still to be at onederland by my 39th birthday.

I understand. We need a typical menu...Not just what you had so far. To see if you are eating foods that can make you stall or gain.

Sometimes we get used to eating foods and are OK with them, until we cheat...Then it puts you into a tailspin.

Has it been "clean" eating? or have you had some frankenfoods? Bars, low carb ice cream etc... Did you go back to "induction" type eating? Or did you just pick up where you left off? Food that could cause water retention? TOM?

That type of thing.

Well, except for my cheat, I think I have been eating clean. Are oopsies clean?

I've given away my ice cream bars to my family, I have not had any packaged foods.

I am lacking in the vegetable department. I dont like veggies much, except for salsa, but tomatoes are a no-no. I like cabbage and lettuce... I cant think of any others off hand which are allowable that I like.

I have had very few nuts, although I did make those dutch cookies awhile ago from almonds, and most of those are still in the freezer.

A typical weekday menu is:
B: coffee with cream
L: mexican casserole (crust made with cream cheese and cheese, taco meat and a little cheese and jalepenos on top)
D: some slab of meat or eggs

A typical weekend menu is:
Brunch: Coffee wtih cream, fried eggs
Dinner: Something atkins friendly (varies), last weekend it was burgers with oopsies.

I'll start posting my menu for awhile so maybe you can see where I'm "off".

Gosh, Pear...Nothing is "Standing out" to me. Yes, keep posting and lets see if we can figure it out.

Sometimes people do a "Fat Fast" to get things moving again and then go back to regular low carb.

Others will do a meat and egg fast...Then back to regular low carb.

Are your carbs too low? With no veggies? I see you eat salsa, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Sorry, thinking out loud. lol

Pear, do you use fitday or something? It might be worth doing that for a few days at least - to get an idea if you're eating too much or too little, or something like that. If you already do it, do you know what your typical day's carbs, calories &c work out to?

Tooter, my husband thinks my weight is just right, too - though he didn't seem to think a few pounds up or down would be a problem. Sounds like a good idea to stay where I am.

Do you know your portion sizes, Pear? I'm thinking maybe you aren't eating enough. That'd be nice, eh? Hard to tell, though. Could you post your height/weight/activity/calories/fat/carbs? Or at least as much of that as you know?

I bet we'll problem-solve this right up for you!

Thanks I caught it in time to watch the half time show. I rooted for the Patriots because Junior Saou is from the town where I live and I worked with his cousin for many years.

I make a stir fry with lots of vegetables and garlic.
That produces some pretty good farts!

I had those questions there originally, too. But upon serious reflection, I decided that maybe that was a bit much. Do you think it would help?
