My mom sent this to me, and I thought you guys might enjoy it...
AAADD - KNOW THE SYMPTOMS.....PLEASE READ! Thank goodness there's a name for this disorder. Somehow I feel better, even though I have it!! Recently, I was diagnosed with A.A.A.D.D. - Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder. This is how it manifests: I decide to water my garden. As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide it needs washing. As I start toward the garage, I notice mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mail box earlier. I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car I lay my car keys on the table, put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, and notice that the can is full. So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the garbage first. But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox when I take out the garbage anyway, I may as well pay the bills first. I take my check book off the table, and see that there is only one check left. My extra checks are in my desk in the study, so I go inside the house to my desk where I find the can of Coke I'd been drinking. I'm going to look for my checks, but first I need to push the Coke aside so that I don't accidentally knock it over. The Coke is getting warm, and I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold. As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke, a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye--they need water. I put the Coke on the counter and discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning. I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers. I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote. Someone left it on the kitchen table. I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I'll be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll water the flowers. I pour some water in the flowers, but quite a bit of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill. Then, I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do. At the end of the day: the car isn't washed the bills aren't paid there is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter the flowers don't have enough water, there is still only 1 check in my check book, I can't find the remote, I can't find my glasses, and I don't remember what I did with the car keys. Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all damn day, and I'm really tired. I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail.... Do me a favor. Forward this message to everyone you know, because I don't remember who the hell I've sent it to. Don't laugh -- if this isn't you yet, your day is coming!!

BTW, forgot to report - turkey sandwich went well. Also had a piece with a little bit of peanut butter on it last night. I definitely like the oopsie rolls with something substantial on them, rather than just butter like I did with the first ones. I didn't notice the egginess at all - they just were a good handle for whatever I was eating.
A few tips on the egg whites - I chilled my bowl before I put the egg whites in. I also separated into a separate bowl, and then slid the egg whites into the mixing bowl (in case of any yolk contamination). And you have to beat the heck out of the things, until you think it absolutely has to have been too long...and then beat them a little more. I could literally hold my bowl upside down without the whites coming out. I also didn't even have any cream of tartar - so it's possible without it. HTH. ![]() Oh, and the kids never got to try them - I ate them all So I'll have to report on that next time! ![]() |

This is sounding mighty good too:
(courtesy of Cleochatra) Revoloopsie Cream Puffs You'll need: 2 revolooopsie rolls Sugar-Free/ Fat free Cook and Serve Jell-o pudding High-fat milk Whipping cream 2 packets Splenda Make the pudding according to box instructions, using full-fat milk in place of the fat-free milk. Next, mix the whipping cream with Splenda until stiff peaks form. Place both in the refrigerator until the pudding sets up just enough to where it is still warm, but solid. On a plate, place a Revoloopsie roll. Place a dollop of chocolate (or other flavor) on the roll. Top with a second roll, and place a dollop of whipped cream on top of this. If desired, garnish with sliced strawberries. Net carbs is 8 grams for slightly less than a quarter cup of pudding, less if you use less. |

My batch of oopsie rolls are in the oven, we'll see how they turn out. I let the white beat until they had high peaks (love that kitchenaid mixer).

Wow, y'all are making me hungry and I'm full. I am really watching my carbs as I think I have been overdoing. The calorie/carb count wasn't too high so there must have been some hidden somewhere or the pork rinds were catching up with me. I'm not sure why I haven't been losing anything lately.
I don't think I will be able to add more than 20 carbs til I get the weight off. I am extremely insulin resistant. Ailuros, stay safe and warm, I hope hubby gets home with no trouble. Pear, your 'croissants' looked good enough to eat! ![]() Click, I already had my bag packed... ![]() Tooter, don't work too hard, your hubby may want you to come in every day. ![]() MomToEli, we miss you. ![]() |

Where you do keep your oopsies? I put mine in the fridge. Should I have froze them or kept them out on the counter?

Pear - I've read of some people leaving them in a baggie on the counter, and some people wrapping them up and keeping them in the fridge. Not sure about the freezer - I think there was a thread about that, but I never read it. HTH
