I just got back from the mall a little while ago. My ex-husband called earlier tonight. I guess that I can still say "Our Nephew" when referring to his older brother's child? Not sure?!!!

Anyways...He (The Nephew) just turned 27 yesterday...and today his parents decided to follow his wishes, and pulled the plug. He passed away today from Luekemia. A couple of years ago, his younger brother gave him a bone marrow transplant, and he went into remission. About a year ago, he got sick again. He was to be married this coming Fall. His parents feel good that he is no longer suffering, and that he is in a better place.

When he was about 5...he used to tell his Uncle (my ex) that he better watch out...or he'd beat him up....because I was his girlfriend. I guess that he had a crush on his Aunti. (Or...maybe...I just babied him alot, and gave him attention.) Also, when he was little he called himself "Er". His full name was Christopher...and the only part that he could get out was "Er". So, that name stuck with him.

So, my youngest needed some dress clothes, as he is going to the service. Good thing that everything is 70% off right now. Living as I do, doesn't really allow for unplanned emergency situations.

Good news, my girls got their passports in today's mail. I guess that means we're going to Holland this summer. I just need to sit down with my boss and figure out scheduling. The passports have a chip in them that allow them to be located anywhere in the world... pretty freaky thing.

Oh, thats so sad. He was so young and had a whole life ahead of him. You must be feeling pretty sad about losing him. Sounds like you had a pretty special relationship when he was little.

Yes...he was a little Q.T.!!! He always had the brightest smile, and the twinkliest eyes....a little toe head too. (Not so little now, but just the same!!!)

It is a sad thing, but....he was suffering really bad. He was in so much pain, that they had him heavily sedated...he didn't deserve to live like that, and he never wanted life support. So, his parents followed his wishes, and let him leave this world to go to a better place...and wouldn't be in pain any longer. For this I am happy...he didn't deserve all of the pain, and sickness from chemo. However, even though it was best for him...to put his life in God's hands...the empty hole left in a parent's heart and soul...from the loss of a child...can never be filled.

Thanks for wondering where I am, and no, of course I'm not mad at anyone!

Happy to see everyone's doing so well. Hopefully I'll feel like posting again soon. Right now, I've just been reading everything here and on the playground and main lowcarb lobby, etc. as a cheap distraction from my roiling stomach.

Everyone have a good night!

Hippiegirl, I am sorry you aren't feeling well! Here are some (((HUGS))) for you. Boy, I sure hope I don't catch it now!

Get plenty of rest and H2O and we will be here waiting for you to get better and return to us. We do miss you.

Click, there is no way I could keep my carb count down if I didn't. As you can see, except for the eggs/nuts all of my carbs were veggies and I just got 12 of fiber. It is extremely hard to get all of the required fiber in and keep the carb count low.

I wound up with 24 grams of carbs tonight after deducting my fiber.

Click, I am so sorry that your boys lost their cousin. It will be hard for them, also.

I will keep Er's family and friends in my prayers.

Yippee, Pear!

Yes, it is freaky but when you think about the world we live in now, it may be necessary.

I can't wait to see all of the pictures you are going to share with us...hint, hint, hint...

Good Morning!! Today is my big shopping day. I need more CO and other things, so I will be gone most of the day.

Feeling much better today. Only, slightly, have the sniffles.

I started Couponing again. I bought 4 pounds of bacon for $1.96!

Today I'll get free dreamsfield pasta, free toothpaste, deordorant, toothbrush etc. It's a fun hobby!

I'll talk to you girls when I get back.

Have a FANTASTIC day.

Well.....only one tiny pound this week!!!

I thought that it would be more, as my clothes are bigger.

Onederland seems to be far away again....

I guess that I am the type who will loose nice amounts, and then...sit there...before losing again!!!!

I'm afraid that's just the luck of the draw, L&F. Some people lose their weight steadily, others go in fits and starts. I read a study where people were kept in hospital and fed no food at all, and some of them lost steadily, while others would actually go for days in a row where their weight went up! Just because hormones fluctuate and water levels vary. Once you know what to expect, you can manage not to let it bother you so much, anyway!

Good morning Ailuros!!!!

It seems that I am the unlucky of the draw.

I guess that my body, and it's fierce desire to hang on to what it has, is as stubborn as I am.
