Yes it does!!! I remember years ago when I was reading a romance novel. Mr. Tooter looked at me and said "What are you reading"? I said "Oh, it's just a romance novel". He gave me a sly look and said "Call it what it really is...HOUSEWIFE PORN"!! I laughed so hard I almost fell off the couch. I never forgot it.

MomtoEli, does your husband speak any dutch? Ahhh yes, you can tell a dutch but ja can't tell him much. What part of Holland is he from?
Oh, none Unless squawking when I spend money counts HE was born here. It was both sets of grandparents that came over. I have all of the info packed away and I don't remember which part they came from, but I have tracked it all down. I don't know how long it takes for one to officially have settled down in a new house, but I'm thinking 2.5 months isn't it At least not for me! So, I haven't unpacked that far ...

Well, firls, I just stopped in to say Good Morning, Low Carb Friends! (hey, has the same number of syllables as Vietnam ...)

Anyway, great to see everyone. Pear and Ailuros, the photos are beautiful! Keep em coming!

Jean ... oh, Jean ... you're the only one last night that didn't say hi to me ... did I make you mad? I said your guy was really good looking ...

Ok. I'm alright now.

Have a great day everyone! I have to go fashion little bowling pins out of clay to put on my Pinewood Derby race car! I'm making a bowling lane this year ...

Add another food to my list. I am a Cooking FOOL today! lol I made the Stuffed Peppers Recipe (it's in the first page of the link I posted and with pictures)

Totally Induction Recipes Thread

I used a big can of jalapeno peppers. I sliced them open, took out the seeds, filled them with the cheese mixture. I then got one low carb, pita bread and put it through the food processor, mixed that with a little melted butter and parmesan cheese, and put a crust on top of the Peppers.

I'll bake it later. I can't WAIT to try this later. I put them on a baking sheet and in the fridge until we are ready to have them.

My daughter, Chelli, got me two books for Christmas on building Cathedrals by Ken Follet. They were amazing.

You're right, Jean, it is a colour photo - just not very much. It's funny, although I like to look at them, I never got the hang of taking black and white photos, but a lot of the colour ones that I take are very close to black and white.

Why the HECK didn't I think of using the low carb pita bread crumbs before?

Sometimes we get so "Set in our ways" and just have to realize we need to think outside the box. GEEZ...

It just dawned on my when I was making the jalapeno recipe, that it would be great with a crust, and I thought...WAIT A MINUTE!! What about the Pita bread, run through a food processor and the Parmesan cheese with a little butter?

So, there you have it. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Sorry, MomToEli, I am answering as I read so I won't miss anyone. I often read first then later realize I missed an important post.

Good Morning, MomToEli, how are you today? I hope you have an interesting weekend planned.

I remember the Pinewood Derby Races so well when my son was in scouts. Have fun.

Oh, and thanks for the compliment on my guy!

Jean

It's quiet here tonight. I hope that means everybody's out enjoying themselves.

My weight had levelled off this morning - after dropping nearly five pounds in five days, and getting back to the weight I was before Christmas, that's not too surprising. Today seemed a bit strange. I had a smallish breakfast, because I wasn't very hungry, but ever since lunchtime I've had that sort of hunger that doesn't seem to go away no matter how much you eat. If it's still going on tomorrow I'll have to make a big frittata or something similarly substantial for lunch.

The Jalapeno Poppers came out AWESOME!! That crumb crust/breading was the icing on the cake!

Jean, I thought of you today. I made something else. I was in the mood for banana bread.

Remember the blondie recipe that you and I made? Here it is

----------------------------

Rebecca's Flourless Blonde Brownies:

1 C (2 sticks) butter, melted
1 C Splenda
1 T Vanilla
2 C
