Do you have a little Dutch hat on your pear? It is so cute. At first I thought it was a nurses cap (you never see those anymore), then it hit me, no, it's from Holland!

I bet that with your long distance love...it makes losing weight even more fulfilling. Since he doesn't see you every day...he probably really notices a difference.

Jean, yes it was a dutch hat, but I took it off, was getting too hot.

The scenery is beautiful and I love all of the pictures of Holland, it is a dream to visit there one day. I'm sure even pictures can't do it justice.

He's very cute, Jean! So are you two going to move closer together?

My cousin made the film. They are skating on a river.

I remember when I was little, they had me learn to skate behind a chair on the ice. Even still, I fell alot.

Thanks, Pear, I think so too. Never, I think we enjoy where we live too much. However, we do see each other a lot and talk on the phone several times a week. We've lived this way for 31 years...

Actually he is quite graceful

The ice was glassy by the boats, but it was still strong. I'm with you, at first I thought it was water. If it WAS water, the rest of the ice on the river would have been too thin to skate on.

There is a race in Holland, called the Elfstedentocht, that is skating on the canals through 11 cities. It covers a distance of 200km. It is only held once a year and only when the canals freeze over enough to do it. I dont think it was held this year (yet). Elfstedentocht - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
