I feel pictures and music too, Click. And that picture is so tranquil and calming. It makes me miss Holland so much. My grandmother grew up in a windmill. The windmill is gone now, sadly. My grandmother on the other side had some property that bordered up to a windmill, it was sooo pretty there. I'll have to see if I have a pic on this computer.
Good...then, you know what I was speaking of about "feeling" things. You deserve to live the more peaceful, tranquil life again. Maybe, soon you will get to move back?!!!

Click, it is as good a meatloaf as I have ever eaten. Just wonderful.

I purchased mine at the commissary, sorry, I know that doesn't help. It used to be called 'one carb ketchup' but now they call it 'low calorie' ketchup, guess carbs aren't in vogue right now. I swear it is the best (Spenda) SF product I have eaten, . Just as good as the real deal.

I cant find the photo I took years ago, but this is the windmill that bordered my family's land. The last I heard, a doctor lives there now. It is still a working molen.

This is my grandmother's family when she was young... (hard to see, its a picture of a picture)

It's good to know about these things, as I'm sure that there are many things that pork cracklins could take the place of ....breading (fried chicken, meatballs....anything that calls for bread crumbs, crackers, or flour for coating things!!!)

Is the band name of the ketchup Heinz?

I read a recipe somewhere for fried chicken. It was something like this...

3lbs chicken, cut up
1/2 cup kraft parmesean cheese
oil for frying

Put the cheese in a ziplock bag, wet the chicken (with egg or water or ?), shake in the bag to get the cheese in all the nooks and crannies, and then deep fry in a frying pan.

Supposed to be really good.

Banana....

I think that it is just beautiful!!!!!

Seems peaceful and untouched.

You are lucky to have experienced this life....and to have the family pictures to recall such a time. Things, such as these, can never be bought, or taken from your dreams, memories, or corners of your heart.

Hopefully someday I will get to live there again.

Holland has its problems (lots) but it has something for me that draws me back there. I may post more pics from time to time if you all are ok with it.

Hey!!!!

This sounds similar to my old chicken parmesan recipe...except with the freshly grated parm...there were instant potato flakes.

One could take the boneless breasts and make it this way (just egg, freshly grated parm, and seasonings, drizzled with butter)...bake like usual, and serve over spaghetti squash (which I have never had...yet), and find some kind of spaghetti sauce that we can eat.

I betcha' that it would still be good!!!

Sure!!!! We don't mind the pictures!!!!

What kind of problems does Holland have? Can't be any worse than here? That's to bad about the girls' father. (Dumb men--no offense woe)

I can understand that feeling of a sense of something drawing you back!!!

So, your husband...he's from Holland as well...right?

Boy...I sure can't picture traffic problems from the pictures.

Do you think that the taxes, crime, and morals are any worse there than they are here...I mean...I think that these topics are pretty bad here in America.

My father had alot of back problems and had endured pretty painful surgery in his 30's. He's a nurseryman and all the plants are grown in the ground. He was tired of it. My parents also saw the morals going downhill fast, and didnt want to raise us there any longer.

Hubby and I met online in chat. I went to housesit for a friend nearby and visit family and the rest is history.
MMmmmmm...I love gouda cheese!!! I betcha' it is the best in the world, and you are very lucky to have tried it fresh like that.

Would your husband be willing to go back someday...to live?

Yeah, well, you should see the highways. Imagine 16 million people living in a country smaller than Rhode Island.

Yes, definately much worse. You just dont hear about europe's problems here. The drinking age is 14. Soft drugs are legalized. Prostitution is legalized. You will see nudity regularly in the newspapers and normal magazines. Cars are regularly blown up on new years.
