As for being a stranger, I'll try to remember to pop in here and check up on you. I'm around, that's for sure ... just really busy. My computer time seems to be pretty dominated, PLUS trying to run the household, do my stuff at church and with Scouts and and and ... no wonder I'm tired, eh?
MomToEli,

Without boring everyone here...with my repeated news...I'll tell it in a short version.

My youngest is happy...his father was going to make him go there for the whole summer...he didn't want to. The oldest is not happy about it. He is staying back here to go to school. The parents said that he could. We'll see how long that lasts.

I haven't told the ex yet....figure it's none of his business...until I'm on my way there. Just gives his wife more time to think of something to bother us with...if I let them know.

I told my parents. I told my mom that some things have come to light, and that I've put alot of facts together in my mind...and that I actually, feel better....now, that I've faced some truths. I didn't need to explain. (does that say something...or what?)

I don't know when I'm going for sure, but if my name doesn't come up in the townhomes that consider your income to state what rent will be, I'm not going to stay here...and use all of my money up again waiting. I will leave before that happens, and just have to find a way to make things work with being a Mom, and going to school...and fitting a job in there too. The youngest is a little older now, and could be home alone a bit longer.

Well my good friends...I made a promise to myself.

By the end of 2008:

I would like to be the healthiest (Physically, and Psychologically), and the most fit that I've ever been.

I have a good start:

Meeting all of you has been the first step.

Facing the truth about family, and letting go (Quit trying to change things that I can not change) has been a freeing moment for me. I feel much better.

What's left to do?

Once comfortably in Onederland, I am going to start walking a mile 3x's/week, and build it up from there.

Maybe.....once closer to goal, quit smoking.

I'm here - I'll be going to be soon, but keep talking, I'll catch up in the morning .

I like your plans to work on physical and emotional health. It could become a lifetime project!

Yes, I made it to the store. Spent a small fortune. Literally everone who saw me with my cart made a comment (none of us does major shopping there if we can help it!)

Right now, I'm talking to a pirate.

The sunny weather is making me want to dust my mountain bike off and start riding, plus I feel like I have so more energy lately. Its still dark when I get home from work so nothing will come of it for awhile. I just feel like moving

Click, how old is your youngest son? He must be old enough by now to stay home alone. Mine have been doing it since they were 12.

Mine has been through so much....more than I care to go into on here. (It was all caused by the step-mommy dearest!!!)

He needed me longer than most...he is very sensitive.

He's home alone...I always tried to schedule my classes while he was in school, but that didn't always work. So, he has been home alone. Just not all of the time, as he would be if I'm going to school full-time, and working.

I have him much stronger and healthier now...I think that he might be o.k. now.

I couldn't even go to the bathroom without him looking for me for the longest time. If I went somewhere, he sat by the front window watching for my return. If I was quiet for awhile, he'd call for me...just to be sure that I was there.

Now, he's a healthy smiling boy again....even though he's already 15.

No wonder he doesnt want to spend the summer with stepmother. One more thing to show you made the right decision to move back.

Poor thing has been through too much.

I can understand why he's apprehensive about staying home alone.

Glad you've got him smiling again.

This is a little slice of heaven...

My cousin took this picture while they were skating on the canals a few weeks ago when it was "winter" in Holland.

The evil snickers bars are back at work and they were taunting me all day.

I had a second cup of coffee with cream this afternoon to satisfy the craving. It worked, but I wasnt hungry for dinner, so I skipped.

I hope not having that ice cream bar is worth it tomorrow.

Yes....and I know that he appreciates everything that I have done, and given-up for his welfare. I heard him tell my Dad the other day that he has just realized in the past year that he has the best mom that anyone could ever have. That I give so much of myself, and would do or give up just about anything for their (the boys) happiness.

Not that I would ever tell them, but I have lived VERY poorly...for the benefit of them having their watchful mom's eyes over them...and loving arms around them, but the time has come for me to do something...which means me not being home as much.

I think that they are both "fixed" enough to handle this now.

Pear....that is just breath taking!!!!

The closest thing that I could even begin to compare the beauty to would be in Holland, Michigan. I went to a park there that has an authentic dutch windmill. Like I said, it was nothing as beautiful as this, but atleast gave me the "feeling". I'm weird that way...while taking in scenery, or listing to classical music, or looking at art....I can "feel" it, and I can't explain what I mean...those who, also, experience this would know what I mean.

Pear...it could take a couple of days without the ice cream bar for it to show.

Do me a favor...will you? Try what I said...about going back to basics, and getting most of your carbs from low glycemic veggies for 1 week. See if it helps!! It has helped me...maybe, it would you too.

If your week spot is sweets...try making some of the wonderful desserts that I have heard Tooter and Jean talking about. If it would satisfy your sweet tooth...you wouldn't feel deprived anymore.

Pear,

Oh, my goodness, words cannot express the beauty in that picture. I would love to travel and maybe when I get some of this weight off I will feel more like it.

I love pictures and appreciate your sharing it with us.

How could you go wrong, this makes total sense to me. I, too, wish you would give it a try. I would love to see that scale moving again.

Have you always had the sugar cravings? Did you ever get beyond it on induction? It must be miserable to have that Snickers staring at you when you are at work. They were one of my favs.

Keep us posted.
