I didn't sleep well last night - partly because I went to a meeting at someone's house and accepted a cup of coffee, just to be polite. It was a mug full of quite strong coffee, and I don't generally drink coffee after about lunch time (I usually have a small one straight after lunch). Also, ketosis can make me restless, and I also had restless legs, not quite cramping, but nearly - which can happen when you lose a lot of water, taking with it a good dose of your electrolytes, so I'll be taking some potassium and magnesium today, which should help.

Ailuros, I'm sorry you didn't sleep well, caffeine does the same to me.

Everything has to be such a balance, drinking enough water, not losing too many essentials, eating enough fat, not eating too much protein, etc. This WOE really has a learning curve for each of us and our bodies.

Correction:

I, also, consume...on average...2-3 tblsp. CO a day.

Another Correction:

I can't continue one of the things that I did differently this week....seeing people 530 miles away!!!!

L&F, it's good to keep what you did under review, but it wasn't necessarily because you did something different that the whoosh happened last week - for some people the weight loss just seems to happen in fits and starts.

Because of my metabolism, and how much caffeine I used to drink...and quitting it cold turkey, and then...adding a small amount back in.....I wonder if that helped? You know....the adrenal gland thing????!

Yes.... I know!!!! That will probably be me. I will probably lose nice amounts for a week or two, and then...sit there for another 3 weeks...and then...whoosh again. So on and so forth!!! It's kinda' irritating, but that is how it will probably be for me.

I wonder if the cheese might be the problem? Some people say that cheese slows their progress?

I haven't been doing this long enough to give alot of advice, but I know that I get most of my carbs from veggies, and I try not to go over 20 gr/day.

What ever you do....don't get discouraged....I know what it feels like...after my weight staying the same for 3 weeks, but the scale will move again...if you stick with it.

Click, what an excellent answer, right out of DANDR. Watch out, Tooter, you are going to have a good 'little' assistant here before long.

Pear, are you getting 12-15 veggie carbs a day? I ate a lot of cheese beginning this WOE and I also cut back because it was taking me over the 20.

So, you are still on induction, sorry, can't remember? Atkins instructors advised me to move into OWL and not to stay on induction too long as it would have its repercussions.

Hey, did I miss a party here. Hmm, what was it for? I'm sure I saw something that was cause for celebration but I just can't put my finger on it!

Did our quiet little mouse do something big?

OH, I REMEMBER! Click, the wonder girl is fading away. right before our eyes.

I think you have made everyone's day, Click. We all came here this morning in anticipation because you had all of the symptoms and the loss had to show up sometime.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Everyone join me in the happy dance...

That's 16 pounds...since November 24!!!

Maybe...with any luck, I will be joining Jean in Onderland next friday!!!

I think that my 3 week stall was due to not eating enough!!! (Like you all were telling me!!!)

That may well be, Click, make note of it as you learn your body.

Yes, join me in Onderland, you will just love it over here. Remember our challenge to get there by the end of January? If you don't you will certainly be close enough.

I'm still doing the happy dance...

Hippiegirl, how are you doing this morning? I hope you are moving forward and the pizza didn't cause too much anguish.

What are you planning for the weekend?

PEAR!!!!

I know that you "need" to hit your goal by Valentine's Day!!!

Why don't you try...and I'm just suggesting...going down to basics. See if this might help.

Plain meats
Eggs--not mixed in with anything (except butter)(maybe mayo)
Plenty of Fat (CO)
Veggies
Half your weight in ounces of water

No treats
No mixed-up meats (just plain meat)
Less cheese

Maybe, this might help?

Absolutely no need to apologize! I have learned more from this thread than almost anywhere else! And your questions are often the catalyst for the good info that's been shared here.

Well...I managed to stay on plan yesterday. I wanted to go to Boise, but it's freakin' snowing again!

I should, however, be able to leave the property today. Apparently, the plow guys didn't know I was back here, so they plowed a MOUNTAIN right behind my car! I've been trapped for two days! I'm going insane. But I caught them just a little while ago, and they said they'd try to plow a path for me, and that they would start pushing the snow to another area. My mountain was literally twice as high as my car! So I'm going to go to the Merc (our local little store) and get enough for a few days. I really want to go shopping in a real store, though, because the variety and the prices aren't so good up here (remote mountain town).

I'm going to buy a lot of eggs and make a crustless quiche type thing, and I'm going to make some sort of chicken enchilada casserole, too. I'm also thinking I might give pork rinds a try again (we, of course, don't have the cracklin's up here) - I was thinking they might be good with salsa and cream cheese for when I get snacky. One of my fave high carb treats is salsa/crm chz w/tortilla chips.

I'll also be buying the kids some food. Poor things - we've been out of milk for a day and a half and have NOTHING good to snack on. So I'll be getting some pistachios and whatnot for them, too.

Also, I'll be able to get some cream for my coffee!!!

Hey...Hippie!!!

Thanks for putting up with me!!! I, too, know...without any doubts...that I have learned more, than any book could teach me, from everyone here. Any success that I have, I directly contribute to you...and everyone here. I know that I would have given up by now...had I not had all of my friends here!!!

I Love You Guys!!!!

I'm happy that you are sticking with it...Hippie!!!

It is very hard to do when you don't have any "good choices" in the house. Maybe try a flavored pork rind? My downfall was chips...more than sweets. The pork rinds have saved my a$$ many times...since starting this woe. Now, the pork rinds tast good. I think that your salsa and cream cheese would be good on them. Just takes some getting used to.

I can't wait for you to be able to do a normal shopping!!!! That will feel so good!!! No wonder you enjoy grocery shopping!!!! (Living where you do...I'm sure that you don't get to see Wal-Mart real often!!!)
