Click, I think it has been proved that women don't lose more than 1-1 1/2 pounds of fat per week. The rest would be water and/or muscle. Research it on Google and you will be amazed at what you find on this.

Hopefully...I'm not getting all jiggly for nothing. It feels really gross when I'm walking. I hope that a 10 pound whoosh occurred since my last weigh-in. Tomorrow is the big day!!!! |

When a person has stalled the Atkins people always ask what you have been eating so they can determine if you are eating enough calories. That's the only time they bring up calories.
I agree with Tooter, I think if you ate something with fat your hunger pangs would go away. Also, I have read that we can go in and out of ketosis throughout the day and after eating veggies with carbs. They can trigger hunger/cravings so I think eating fat would be the answer. Also, eating veggies with fat will help with that as it doesn't spike your glycemic index as high. Just MHO! (My Humble Opinion) |

![]() That's my problem.....the more researching I do...the more questions I get!!! (AS TOOTER KNOWS...I'VE BEEN A PAIN IN THE A$$ MY WHOLE LIFE WITH QUESTIONS!!!! )Sooooo, if low carb woe doesn't rob your muscles and bones...then, how do people lose so much weight in a short amount of time? See where I'm going with this? If they are like me...eating too little will put them in a stall. I just don't get it? Also...a question that Tooter couldn't answer .....if while being in ketosis (burning fat instead of carbs), some have to force the food in to get calories...to keep from entering the starvation mode...because while in ketosis one is supposedly not hungry. I've been eating plenty of fat, carbs, and calories. Then, since I have been hungry yesterday and today....does that mean that I am not burning fat...and not in ketosis? ![]() I guess that I research too much sometimes. Then, I don't know what to think!!!! I like to do everything properly....soooooo, then, I get alot of questions!!!! |

Let's us just say that everyone's body is different and not everyone is completely up front about what they are doing, how much they exercise or what their emotional state is, so no one else can really answer for them. There are so many variables that it is hard to give pat answers. I know that I am in ketosis because I am not hungry, do not eat over 30 gr of carbs a day and measure everything. I shoot for 25 to make up for any that may be hidden and am slowly losing weight. I can't wait for several years to pass and you are sitting here answering questions for the newbies, telling them how you lost the weight, etc. ![]() Jean |

Tooter, I have been meaning to tell you that since using coconut oil on my feet, especially my heels, I have had the best feet in many years.
I have spent tons of money on lotions trying to keep them from cracking in the winter to no avail. I now use it on my whole body, hoping that I can keep skin supple while losing weight. It works well everywhere but my face. If I get my hand anywhere near my face after using the oil, it burns like I put Mentholatum on it. Should it not be used on the face to your knowledge? Thanks again for your tips. Jean |
