I hope you can get your car sorted out, Jean. We don't use ours very often, and it doesn't give us that sort of trouble. It's normal for it to go at least a month between outings, and we've just had to have the battery replaced once, when it was about seven years old. Apart from that one time, it's never needed charging and has always started first time. We're just coming up to 25,000 miles, and the car's ten years old, so if low usage was a problem, you'd think we'd be having trouble too.

Ailuros, I haven't heard of the 'jiggling' concept but the way Hippiegirl explains it, makes sense. We will hope for a big whoosh for Click.

Tooter, let me know what you order on Netrition and how you like the products. I found some erythritol locally and made fudge with it and Stevia but the weird taste (metallic/acid) in my mouth lasted the rest of the evening and I couldn't get rid of it. The flavor was wonderful, though.

I made the Blondies yesterday and they were great. Thanks for the link.

I have had car problems for the last couple of days. Something is discharging the battery and they have worked on it since I bought it new three years ago . I will be calling the main office for customer support today as they really need to fix the problem not just charge/replace the battery every time. They tell me at the service dept. that I don't drive it enough but that doesn't make sense. Wish me luck!

I'm off for my usual morning cuppa with friends so I will see y'all later.

Jean
Hi...Jean!!! I missed you!!!

I hope that you're right about the "omen" thing!!!

You are going to have to get your big, mean, "b1tch" pants on, and be really firm with the dealership. By chance...is your car still under warranty? I've worked for car dealerships. So, I know their tricks. If your car is still under warranty...they nurse problems along...taking the cheapest route available...until it's out of warranty. Tell them that you drive your car plenty, and that you are not going to pick your car up until they fix the problem...the REAL problem. Tell them that you pride yourself on giving word-of-mouth "good" reviews...and that you hope to be able to do the same for them. (TeeHeeHee) You just need to be firm with them, and let them know that just because you're a woman...they can't jerk you around!!!!

Real quick...one more thing!!! ()

I could not beleive how much like an outcast I felt like while attempting to eat out!!!!

Went for breakfast....everything on the menu had hashbrowns and pancakes, along with the other stuff. So, I asked if I could have the bacon and eggs...and extra bacon in place of the hashbrowns and pancakes. So, they gave me 2 extrra peices of bacon. I about flipped out!!! I told them that because of my diabetes (lie, lie, lie) I couldn't eat their starch laden food...and that 2 extra peices of bacon wasn't nearly worth it. I mean really...$7.95 for 2 eggs, and 5 peices of bacon? They, then, discounted my meal.

All of this made a thought cross my mind....we should all start-up a chain of restaurants...that only offers good food (High fat, Low carbs!!!) I wonder how it would go over? We could call it, "Eating by Nature...Not by Government Standards"!!!!!

Oh yeah....and Applebee's. Here's another one!!!

I ordered a bacon cheese burger, I asked if I could have vegetables....instead of the fries. Now, all of you that have been to Applebee's know about their veggies (seared squash, carrots, and broccoli). The waitress said...sure...that's not a problem. When my plate came out...there was about half the amount of veggies as normal..and they were so dried out that they looked petrified. I didn't eat any for awhile, I took my bun off of the burger, and started in with that first...just waiting for the waitress to come around and ask how it was!!!! When she came...and asked how it was...I gave her one of these--. I said....I don't know, would eat these? She brought me out some new ones...twice as many and atleast FRESH looking.

I guess that my old self is starting to re-appear. (I'm not hiding behind my fat anymore!!!)

When You order the burger, always order it WITHOUT the bun. Here is why....They want their plates looking good and without the bun, it doesn't look like much...So, they end up giving you more veggies and even pickles!! *grin* Just a little "Trick" I have learned. hehehehehehehe

Tooter, the muffins turned out really well. I put whole almonds in the food processor, and because it was taking a long time to grind them fine enough, I turned away to do something else for a minute, and came back to find they'd gone a bit oily and clumped together. So I added the rest of the ingredients in the food processor (usually I'd mix them by hand), and the mixture seemed lighter and creamier than usual. The muffins also seemed to have a lighter, more delicate texture. And I have a few more in the fridge . I like having plenty of food available!

Jean, I have to do more reading, but I believe the problem you had with the "erythritol" is what is called the "Cooling Effect"? It probably would take more of a Combination of sweetners then just the erythritol and Stevia. That's something that we would need to experiment with. More like... less erythritol, and then diabetisweet and splenda?

Like I said I have to do more reading in the recipe room and truly LOOK at the combo of sweetners they use and there is a reason for each one.

The Stuffed Green Peppers are cooking. OMG, they smell so good. I also made the BEST Cole Slaw. Mayo, sour cream, heavy cream, vinegar, splenda and Celery seeds!! It's Truly creamy and wonderful with just enough sweetness vs tang. Don't ask for "amounts" I go by "taste". lol

For the stuffed peppers, I just took some hamburger, dried onions, powdered beef bullion, an egg, garlic salt, seasoning salt, pepper, grated parmesan cheese and ground up pork cracklins and Italian seasonings. Mixed it all up, shoved it in the green peppers. I then turned them upside and browned the tops in a frying pan. Then I placed them in a crock pot (right side up) on a round rack above a half an inch of water. They are cooking on "high" right now.

When they are done, I will put some shredded mozzarella Cheese on top (broil it in the oven until the cheese is melted) and serve with a little tomato sauce.

You are such a "tease" and I can't give you a "Look" because my smilies won't work for me. *Insert evil eye* lol

Well, the Movie is really "strange". I just couldn't get into it.

I guess I would have a "Pa" accent. Although I don't say "Yuns" Or "You'ns". But alot of people do here.
