Tooter, I know you'll be there for them when they come home and don't have all those arrangements to focus on.

I had a good night's sleep on the new bed . It will take a bit longer before it really feels like "my bed," but it seemed comfortable for me and for my husband, so it's looking good. The cold seems a lot better, too .

L&F, are you still OK? Jean, how are you?

Pear, how long is your husband away for? Are you taking the opportunity to do the things you like but he doesn't enjoy so much?

Good Morning, everyone!!!

I'll finish my coffee reading here and then I will get busy exercising.

I also need to get busy in the yard and Garden today. Getting it "picked up" and ready. There are branches and leaves everywhere (the one down side of living in the woods). lol

Last night, I had a craving for White Chocolate. So, I did a little experimenting in the kitchen. I took a hunk of softened butter that had been sitting in the butter dish on the counter. I added some vanilla, sweetener (to taste) and some chopped nuts. I whipped it up with a butter knife to make sure it was mixed well. I then took a piece of aluminum foil and folded it, plopped the mixture into 3 pieces (the size and almost shape of a "Hershey's Kiss) on the foil and then put it in the freezer for a few minutes to harden it.

It was REALLY good and totally reminded me of White Chocolate.

sorry, I was having lunch. Still eating leftovers from the weekend. We had lettuce with Caesar dressing, and some boiled ham. For dinner I'm planning chicken breasts stuffed with pork and rosemary. I don't know yet what the vegetable will be.

Good morning!

Hubby comes back saturday evening. I've been working these two weeks so I havent gotten out to do things I like. I do go shopping more after work and I have been cleaning more. He usually tells me to slow down and not to overdo it, so I usually give up when trying to clean.

I might be back on the downward trend *YES* I weighed in at 199.4 this morning!

Well, that totally sucked!!

I was getting much lunch ready. I made a beautiful salad. I get out some organic tomatoes and slice them. Then some green onions and a little cheese. My Mouth was totally "watering" just thinking of that Avacado on top with Greek Dressing. I get out the Organic Avacado and slice it open ... It was ROTTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

The salad was "Ok", but I really had my mouth set for the Avacado.

Anyways, she was trying to get a visa for her Mom to come to the US for the funeral. There was some red tape. I also think that they are trying to work everything out in one trip. They don't have alot of money to fly back and forth to "settle" things.
Also the border patrol wanted to give their own "Service" for him.

Soooooooo....The "Word" from Cathy's brother in law, is that there will be a funeral on Monday. No "viewing".
Tooter, this breaks my heart and I hope you will accept my deepest thoughts and condolences.

My children's uncle and cousins are in the border patrol here in CA, they are a pretty tight organization.

Please know that I am with you in spirit.

Thanks Jean!

Hubby's flight arrives tonight at 7:30, can't wait to go pick him up. His flight has arrived in Chicago, now he has a long layover and another flight to get through. I'm sure he'll be exhausted when he gets in.

Hope everyone is doing well.

I bet he'll be dying to tell you all about it!

Nothing much going on here. It's my birthday next week, so my husband is "discretely" trying to find out things like where we keep the wrapping paper . We're going to go out to a fancier restaurant than our usual ones for lunch that day. Also, since I do the driving, it's near enough to walk (or get a taxi if we don't feel like walking).

My MIL sent over some wool she wasn't going to use. Its pretty nice stuff. One set is a thin brown 100% wool yarn and the other is a neat novelty brown yarn. I've been busy tonight looking for a project that I can make with it. I think I'll try my hand at this one: DROPS cardigan knitted in wave pattern with ”Bomull-Lin” ~ DROPS Design using the novelty yarn to accent the lace pattern and on the edges. I need to find some more brown yarn to use, this stuff is really thin, so I am going by the yarn store tomorrow to look for some cheap acrylic yarn to use as the second strand.

When I was sniffing around the knitting pattern website, I noticed this: Latest patterns ~ DROPS Design and I thought it was a mistake, that they had somehow accidently reposted some old 80's sweaters, but I think not. I think they are bringing back shoulder pads and big sweaters and big hair....

Ailuros, Britain is ahead of the US in fashion, have you noticed this?
