I wonder if uping your carbs...a little...like you did...except for only a day or so, might help how you feel...psychologically anyways?
I just feel like plain caca!!!! I'm even experiencing a shortness in breath!!! All of the symptoms that I am experiencing is exactly how I felt before starting this woe. I've been eating noodles, pizza, chips, cookies, bread!!!! It just doesn't stop...once I start!!!! |

Drink plenty of water, and get back to eating as well as you can. And maybe some serial posting would help . I'm off to bed in a minute, but it would make a good start to my morning . |

Cereal posting...would give you a good start to your morning? ![]() ![]() ![]() Yes!!! I quit drinking water too!!! Back to strict square one again!!! It is funny how feeling like this was "normal" before. I really hate how I feel. Tomorrow...plenty of water, and for now on...if there's nothing legal that sounds good...it's nothing. If I'm hungry enough...I'll eat eggs, or tuna. Actually, I wasn't as hungry when I wasn't eating carbs neither. Now, the last couple of days...I even wake up hungry? |

Tooter.
Where do you buy your salmon fillets? Wal-Mart, or a local store? I remember you saying that you only spent a dollar something a fillet, and was wondering where you get them at, as I didn't see them at Cub Foods here in town? I got some at a store called Aldi's in Indiana, but the closest Aldi's to me here is about 45 minutes away. I plan on going there when there are more funds to do a large shopping, but thought that the trip would be wasteful until that time. |

![]() ![]() Hmmmmm.....I wonder where everyone is? It's hours later, still no one has been here?![]() ![]() ![]() Well, I don't know how...since I haven't been making the "best" choices...but while cleaning at the vets office tonight...I weighed myself, and lost a half pound somehow? ![]() ![]() ![]() Well, Tooter...I guess that you don't need to answer my question about where you get your frozen salmon. After cleaning at the vet's office, I went to Wal-Mart tonight to check on it, and they had a bag of four 4 ounce wild caught salmon fillets for 3 something...it was, actually, closer to 4 dollars, but it was still an economical meal. So, that's what is for supper tomorrow...along with broccoli and cauliflower. A frozen bag of that was 98 cents. I never priced the frozen stuff, as I always bought fresh. The frozen may not have "ALL" of the vitamins left in it, but for the price difference, I'm sure that it is good enough. I think that we will have a very "good for you" meal tomorrow night, and since I already had butter, and some potatoes to make the youngest a baked potato with supper, I did a supper for under $5 for the two of us. That's not bad!!! Maybe, we'll have to have a supper similar to that a couple, few times per week.Well, good night everyone!!!!! |

Congrats Click on the half pound. Thats awesome, especially since you've been eating off plan, I would have gained 10 lbs by now. You've been working hard and not eating much so I can understand how you are still losing.
On my way home, I stopped at Kohls to look at their clearance stuff. My good size 20 jeans and khakis are getting really big. I look like a clown wearing them. Kohls had an extra 25% off 80%off clearance. I picked up a pair of size 18 olive pants and size 16 jeans. They both fit good. Also got some size 16 khakis and size 14 cargo pants that fit but are a little tight still. The pants ended up being between $6 - $8/ea. I couldnt have gotten a better deal at the thrift store. My new vest I'm knitting is almost done. I'll have hubby take a picture of me in it once I finish it (hopefully tomorrow night) and I'll have a 'halfway to goal' picture to post. Hubby appears to be done working nights for awhile (stem crossed). He's going to be doing some projects at the level he actually was hired on to work at (stuff he likes to do). We are happy about that. |

Lostandfound, I'm not going to yell at you for "Not eating". You aren't a newbie anymore and you have gotten to know your own body. You make the "Better Choice" for yourself. If eating less and keeping it "low carb" is better for you right now...Then do it.
Yes, those higher carb foods do a number on us, don't they? Can you believe the way you feel used to be our "norm"?Oh, and the losing weight during all of that? Believe it or not, that is Normal too. It has to do with Shaking up our metabolism. Some people actually "Plan" meals or days like that to get things moving on the scales again. That doesn't work for me, because I feel like CRAP. Does it work for weight loss for me? It can, but it's not worth the way I feel. You'll hear people talk about it as a CAD meal, a higher carb day or a "refeed". The Salmon? I get it at my local grocery store. I have bought the ones you are talking about at Wal-mart. The only thing I don't like about them is that the one side does not have the fat and skin on it. I really like that on one side of the salmon fillet. It has alot of flavor, fat and omega 3's in it.

![]() ![]() ![]() Yes!!!! I feel like CRAP too. My knees hurt so bad that it isn't even funny, and I just feel plain old yucky!!!! Bloated, slight, but constant, irritated stomach, stuffy nose, sneezing, swollen eyes....everything feels swollen...almost like an allergic reaction!!!!! So....setting weight-loss aside....I really "KNOW" that eating this way is more "correct" for MY body than my old ways. That's why I said that if there wasn't anything "legal" to eat...I am better off not eating. It's not that it "works" better. It's that I feel like total CRAP...do you see what I'm trying to say? I'm not referring to weight loss...I'm referring to the way that I feel. |

Well, today I go talk with some people that I filled out an application at yesterday. It's only 30 hours a week, but the hours would mix well with everything else. I don't know what the pay is yet, but the hours are 7:30 am -1:30pm. I could drop the youngest off at school, go to work, and be done early enough to pick him up. That, combined with my cleaning, would give me 47 hours of work/week. The job consists of helping prepare meals for "Meals on Wheels". Have any of you ever heard of that in your area? They make meals, and deliver them to the homebound...mostly the elderly. They can order meals for the weekends as well, and they are delivered frozen, on fridays, if they want meals for the weekends. I hope that I get it. I'm soooo sick of having my hopes up for a job. I can't wait to just be working, and leading a "normal" life. I hope that the pay isn't real low...

The salmon may not have it's skin still attached, but I still think that it will taste alright, and will be healthy...for what the meal cost me. My local grocery store didn't have any that was reasonably priced. The stuff that they had was nearly $20 for a little bag, and was "farm raised." Atleast, the stuff that I got was "wild caught."
I guess that I was just happy to be able to prepare a meal for two, that was "healthy," for under $5. |

I wonder how hippie is doing. I hope that everything with the sale went good, as it seems that she disappears when things are not going well.
