Morning gals:

Its cold and foggy here this morning. Thanks for the coffee Ailuros, yum!

Click, I wonder if there is a way of securing your apartment without changing the locks. They have those special door stops you can use when someone is home, but I'll have to ponder if there is a way to secure it from the outside. That would creep me out too. I wouldn't complain unless they are taking your things. Sounds dangerous to complain.

Glad you got some more hours cleaning. Too bad he cant get you full time.

I totally agree. Desperate times, call for desperate measures. You have to do, what you have to do, to get by right now.

I changed the locks here. I was pretty dang certain my landlords (ex-inlaws) were coming in when I was gone. Then, when I was supposed to leave for vacation, and hadn't yet, ex-mil came bounding up my stairs to close a window (!). I changed the locks as soon as I came back from vacation!

Thanks for the coffee, Ailluros - I got caught up reading the oil pulling thread (again).

Tooter and Click - you both do oil pulling, don't you? What are your thoughts on it? Oh, and Kiki, you do it too, don't you? What were everyone's basic results/effects? And what kind of oils have you used?
Oil Pulling is AWESOME!! I love it. I actually that it was a bunch of crap and just tried it for the Heck of it and to debunk it. Um... I couldn't debunk it.

It DOES whiten your teeth, not only that, but it also strengthens your gums and truly gets rid of all kinds of bateria in your mouth.

I Oil pull with CO. Why? Because it has the added healing qualities to it.

I have forgotten to do it, or got away from it (because I was busy) and I see a direction relation to my health when that happens.

Well, lets just say....if I can make it safe and clean....it's somewhere to live. Somewhere to make my beginnings, and if there is any way possible...I will not be here past my lease of 12 months. That is my goal. To be financially capable of affording the place that I really wanted to rent within a year...

It will take alot of hard work, long hours, and great perserverance (spelling?), but when I set my mind on something...I am very persistant.
I have NO DOUBT you will reach your goals!

So, with the oil pulling - do you think it helps even though you drink coffee? And do you do it before or after the coffee, or does it matter? In other words, does it in any way make your teeth more vulnerable to the coffee if you drink it after OP, or is the opposite true, or no effect?

*My turn to ask tons of questions LOL*

Well, I got on the scales today. 126 lbs.

I think when all is said and done (getting back to my routine for awhile) I will be back at 124 lbs. That's ok, I'm cool with it.

Everyone is a CLICK clone!

I will tell you a SHOCKING secret, that only Kiki and Click know...

I not only drink ALOT of coffee, but I Smoke too!

Does it make a difference? OMG, a total difference. Does it make you more vulnerable to coffee or nic stains? Nope, but if you stop doing it, it will go back to how they were before you started Oil pulling.
Not only do I not have stains from the coffee and nic, but I also don't have a smokers cough or the other side effects of smoking.

There are some "rules" you will find with Oil pulling, but I'll cut through the BS for you and give you the low down.

They say to do it on an empty stomach. Why? When you first start oil pulling and you aren't used to it, you might find you have a little "Gag" reaction. If you have a full stomach...Well, you could "blow cookies".
My "Gag" Reaction isn't bad, so this doesn't apply to me.

They say to do it for 20 minutes? Yeah, right...Like you can start out at that amount. Just Start! Try to go to 5, then to 10...etc. I have it down as a routine. When I go to get in the bathtub or shower, I do the oil pulling at the same time. Oh, and spit it into the Trash. You don't want to clog your drains or septic tank (if you have one).

Use a more "Natural" Oil. All the boards say that Sunflower and Safflower are good. I found Like Coconut oil the best and I stick with that. I have heard some people complain about using "Olive Oil". That it didn't whiten their teeth, made them seem more yellow?

Castor Oil is a powerful Pull. I use it once in awhile. It does tend to taste like "Motor Oil"!! LOL

Did that help, my little SmartA$$?

Ok, everyone, what's your meal plans for today?

Brunch (I didn't feel like breakfast) Omelet with Salmon and cream cheese

Dinner: T-bone steak (RARE, baby) and a Tossed salad. The "Heathens" are having a Baked potato with that.

Dear God, I'm turning into CLICK again. I'm talking to myself.

*putting on the 8-track of Eric Carmen and singing along* "All By myself...

Don't want to be... All by myself, anymore....

Where the heck is Kiki?

And where has Ms. Yellowrose gotten too? Did she run off with a Personal trainer or something?

Jean, the Hussy... I don't think she is ever coming back.

*sigh*

That's ok, I'll just talk to myself. *pout*

This scene - the speech he gives - is one of the reasons this is my favorite movie.
