Old Timers and Newbies!

Hi there,

Sorry I've been MIA today. Doing the car repair/maintenance thing, then hubby went to the hockey game and I stayed home and cleaned house. I did some knitting. I shampooed the carpet downstairs, and vacuumed upstairs and down. I've got laundry running. Now I'm finally sitting down and relaxing with a diet sprite/SF Raspberry syrup on ice.

I was getting the sheets off our bed and out falls Lauren's cell phone. She lost it several days ago and we finally replaced it with my old phone. Of course, we find it AFTERWARDS

Andy is a frisky pup tonight, he's driving AJ crazy. I'm trying hard to keep them separated but I'm the only one home right now.

We went to the mexican again and I had my taco salad with the bestest salsa in the world. *heaven*

I eat my salsa with a spoon. The chips dont really add much to the taste anyway. It just looks kinda funny

I like chips, cheese, salsa...I guess that you'd call it...oh...what did taco bell call their chips...Nacho Belle Grande!!!! That's how I like it...with everything on there!!!

Good morning .

L&F, sorry I didn't get back after dinner last night. Can you deal with Italian food porn in the morning? I started with carpaccio of beef, with a bit of rocket salad and some parmesan shaved over it. Then I had chicken brest stuffed with parma ham and cheese, and some spinach with garlic and toasted pine nuts. So it would all have been very virtuous if I hadn't had the iced nougat thing for pudding . And we had a few glasses of wine .

Morning!! I just made a fresh pot of Coffee. Please help yourselves to a cup.

WELL... Remember my story about "Mr. Higgins" (My Olde English Bulldogge) and how we had thought he saw a mouse, it scared him and he was slipping and running in place on the hardwood floors, finally got some traction and flew acrossed the floors and crashed Head first into the French doors?


Well, we found out what was wrong with our Washing Machine. Higgins' "little Friend" had made a home in the washer and chewed into the Hose on the washing machine. Anyways, it's fixed!!! Now I have to get "mouse traps" to put in the laundry room. We have a cat that takes care of mice in the rest of the house, but doesn't go to the Laundry room (or mud room, half bath etc...) because that is where the dogs food is, and the dogs don't let him there.
That little "hallway" back there is right next to the door of the Garages. So, that's where the mouse came in. Living in the woods, these things happen.


It's going to be a busy day today. I love Sundays!!! I have my "Couponing" to do and then all the kids will be over for the day and dinner.

I have done FANTASTIC on the couponing. My Pantry room is full. I actually had to change the Mud room Closet into another Pantry!!! Not only am I saving a ton of money, but it's forcing me to be more organized!! lol



I'll check in on Monday and will have more time to chat and play. Enjoy the rest of your Weekend!!!

If you run out of room...and you're looking to fulfill the rush---from "saving"....feel free to come here, and bargain shop for me. You can teach me. You'd have fun, as my cupboards are quite bare!!!! You should see my spice turntable thingy. It goes in the cupboard, and it's like a turntable. I have two things on it (Garlic salt and cayenne pepper). It used to be overflowing with containers of this, and containers of that. It all got thrown away. I bet that my canned goods cupboard has less than 10 things in it. SEEEeeeeeee.....you'd have fun!!!! SOooooo....when are you coming?

L&F, I'm always happy to talk food . Tonight for dinner we're having camembert wrapped in bacon, seasoned with a little mustard and white wine, and baked. With savoy cabbage cooked in lots of butter. It's a new recipe - I'll let you know how it turns out.
