Click, I just noticed you said you were going to try to get your CNA license. Great idea. You could likely find work pretty easily with that. You would be good to do that while trying to get into nursing school, it may even help your chances of getting in. I hope the teachers assistant job works out too.

Tooter, I've been planning that next time I make some of your flax muffin recipe I'm going to flavour them with ginger instead of cinnamon, and molasses instead of maple, to get a sort of gingerbread muffin. I've no idea why I suddenly feel the need for gingerbread flax muffins .

Sorry I've been quiet today. I've been quite busy, and I just didn't sleep well last night, so I've been really tired. I hope I'm tired enough to sleep soundly tonight .

THOSE sound good! I have even experimented and used different flavorings to the muffins. Walnuts and Banana flavoring for Banana nut muffins.

Good morning . I had a full night's sleep last night, so I'm feeling much better today. I need to get a drink and some breakfast, then I'm going down to the farmers market to see what goodies I can find. Then coffee with my husband - I like to wait until after the chores so we can relax over our cappuccini.

I hope so...it's almost as though the hiring process has become a game. Gone are the days that you go somewhere, and introduce yourself, talk with the owner/supervisor, and they hire you on a handshake. Ahhhh...the good ol'days!!!

I'm still waiting to get the full-time job. Here it is the first of March...and I'm still chasing my tail around. I have another interview on Monday. The problem is...is that it's 1 hour away. I suppose if they offer me a position, I will take it, and hope that I pass my CNA test, and find a job doing that, closer to where I live, within the next few months. I knew that it would be tough, but I've been actively looking for two weeks already.

Yes. Unfortunately the test is not available until March 29. That is alright though because it costs money, and hopefully, I will have steady income by then. After the test, it takes a couple of weeks for your name to get on the registry, and if everyone plays games about the hiring process...I'm expecting that if everything goes well...it will be a couple, or a few months down the road that I would be working as a CNA.

Good morning everyone!!!!

I have to go soon...I have to go clean a new construction job with a crew this morning. I wish that this guy could offer me enough hours...I'd just quit looking all day every day for a job. The same company that advertised a teachers assistant has many locations, and guess where they have an immediate opening? The furthest one away from me. It's about an hour away, but I suppose that I will take it if they offer to me, and try really hard to get my CNA stuff done...

I really hate all of this....

I am really frustrated... !!!!!

I'm going to be starting out on the "wrong" foot with the management here, and to top it off...it's the first...and I don't have "the full-time" job yet. The 5th is the latest that rent can be paid....and I won't have it.

Oh well....I'll just clean faster today...and take my frustrations out on that.

I just hate trying so hard, and getting no where!!!!!

It's been really hard for me to even unpack the rest of my stuff, as I don't know how the manager will take it....I mean c'mon....my first month here, and I don't pay the rent on time? I'm sure that I'll "hear" about it.

Well, I will talk with you all later...have to go get ready for work. Today's work is $15/hour, but only about 3 hours worth. I will get my first check from this job in a few days, but it will only be around $50 after taxes. (He pays bi-weekly, and my first check will only have 6 hours on it.)

Thanks Tooter!!!! All of this is just destroying my self-worth...or, atleast, wearing me out....I am soooo tired!!!!!

This morning's job took 4 hours. So, it should pay about $60. Not bad if it was "extra" income....as I was hoping for.

Boy!!!! I hope that...even if I have to drive an hour each way...Monday will bring good news!!!! I don't care if I have to stoop to the level of getting on my knees, and begging...as long as I get the job. Then, there's the waiting til you get paid thing. If they pay bi-weekly, it could take some time to see a "regular" paycheck. That's why I was hoping to already have a position lined-up by now.

Now, I have to catch-up my homework!!!!

Also, I wish that I could feel "comfortable" here...I don't feel like unpacking, and decorating everything...I just don't feel "safe" here yet...like it's too good to be true? It's hard to explain what I mean, but hopefully, you will understand what I mean. I know though that once I get a second job, there won't be much time here...maybe, with any luck...I will get past this feeling I have, and make this place my home...before I won't have time to do it.
